Cathy Cat and Editor-san: what do you each personally like and dislike about Japan? (I have never been to Japan so all I can say in this regard is that Japanese politeness and consideration impresses me greatly from afar.) 🙂
Again, I have to say outside looking in, but I'd say I love what they've done to push the video game industry in different directions than the US. Helps add variety. Dislike: well, the meds I use for my ADHD are banned there, and that they never apologize for what they have done with the rest of Asia, expecting everyone to just "get over it"
I wouldn’t necessarily call that “arguing”, but more like discussing thing(s) with varying opinions. I’ve always loved a good discussion, I might go insane if nobody would ever challenge my opinion with their own.
I agree with this. I can find that I have no understanding for the way they dress because I have no past experience or basis for the underground culture of which they dress and act with, but that doesn't mean i dislike it. I even enjoy the weirdness, if there is such a thing. They look "scary" because they are not understood. Maybe the problem they face is with lack of ability in explaining their style?
Honestly when I was in Tokyo I received quite a bit of rude actions from men in the country; especially salarymen. I would get stopped by bars and forced to have to talk to these strange men before they would stop blocking me and let me go, and I was laughed at in my face by a group of salarymen when I understood they wanted to know if I spoke japanese (they asked in japanese), but I politely said I don’t know much at all. (In japanese). It left a bad taste in my mouth. The prejudice is extremely high there against foreign women I think. I stand out a lot as I am about the average height of a Japanese man, and I am curvy and not a skinny European like most westerners they are used to. Also avoid Shinjuku and harajuku at night; there are groups of African men that will try to hustle you and I was sexually harassed by them multiple times in one night (different groups of them!)
Director-san, I was really glad to see someone comment on the seasons in Japan. Could you please Ask Japanese what their favorite season is and why. Is there a better place to leave requests like this?
Moonie Cathy Cat after watching so many of your wonderful you short clips of the people and the cultures of japan I love it and so interesting to for at least I guess a year now you bring across the Japanese are so friendly and lovely people to meet and make visitors feel so welcome in japan!I will be so looking forward to my very first experience in japan!
"So much for live and let live" Japan won't employ people in most positions if their hair isn't jet black... live and let live has never applied to them - the nail that stands out is hammered down does, though.
I'm just wondering. If you change one thing about the Japanese culture what the unintended consequences would be? I'm out side looking in, but it appears japan's culture is a delicate balance and changing one thing TOO MUCH might upset that balance? It also appears that they contradicted themselves a bit. they don't like that people don't accept their hobby, yet they like that they can wear it anywhere in Tokyo? Anyway, Japan is overloaded with cuteness, Cathy Cat you add a lot. I love a good discussion also, but here in the west it's the opposite. NO ONE listens, but argues. There everyone listens but don't argue?
@Syafiq Streakerz Take those statistics with a grain of salt. The Japanese legal system uses a definition for rape that dates back to 1907 (!) and the stigma against rape victims is severe enough to make reporting it Just Not Worth It, especially if the perpetrator is an employer or family member.
@Syafiq Streakerz have you ever heard of people not believing you. the culture in japan is different than yours so it doesnt mean that people would report that shit.
It would appear all the young people are tired of having to follow things they way they ae supposed to be. Seems to me THEY simply have to have the courage between all of them to go ahead and do it.
I wonder. Trains run every 10 mins. During rush hour, why don't they increase the number of trains? Must be a reason why not. It would seem during rush hour trains could run every 5 mins at least on the most congested lines.
The part about not be able to use a credit card sounds difficult for me. I almost never have cash, so it sounds like a hassle to always have to find an atm
The girl with the horns has her glasses practically clamping her nose, how does she breathe? As someone who experiences nasal congestion quite frequently in the spring, I wouldn't be able to stand it.
TBH, Japan is the best place to live in the world, but that's just my opinion. Only if they weren't surrounded by mother nature disaster, what a shame.
07:32 This girls costume looks great, terrific detail. When she bowed at 08:47 it looked like that headdress was a pretty heavy.
The work culture I hated when I was living in Ibaraki. Everything else, is great.

Sexually harassed? Wtf?? You said that very nonchalantly.

I like that those people can express themselves. But on the other side,as far as other people not liking it,so much for live and let live.

My thoughts exactly.
10:21 I love how much it seems like there was NO TIME for an outro 😂
I laughed out way too loud in public when she stifled that little laugh at the end.
Dankeschön
Everyone looks gorgeous 💐
The fact that rapists can avoid prosecution by saying I was to drunk and don't remember anything.

Syafiq Streakerz
It’s low because it’s not being registered
syafiq the rape statistics in the UAE is also incredibly low! Pretty amazing, how can they manage to get it 20 times lower than Norway
@Syafiq Streakerz have you ever heard of people not believing you. the culture in japan is different than yours so it doesnt mean that people would report that shit.
7:24 I really like that girl's voice and she's pretty ✨
Laurie 6423 Pretty??? Where?
It would appear all the young people are tired of having to follow things they way they ae supposed to be.

I wanna go to artism! Its so cool.
Anohana in the backround 😅

For the same reason increasing lanes in a heavily transited road will only create more congestion.
Kuro style is cool! ;)
Anohana ending in the background thaaaaaaanks
What's the style of the person in 2:45 called? It looks awesome!
It looks like a combination of gothic lolita fashion with shironui makeup. She looked fantastic!
it looks like you use grass valley's edius...or what type of edit program runs in the background?
The part about not be able to use a credit card sounds difficult for me. I almost never have cash, so it sounds like a hassle to always have to find an atm
I've been to Japan twice and stores are ok with credit cards but smaller places or restaurants can be a hit or miss.
Fyi,There are atm in every Japanese conbini store
Also many places accept charge card Suica or Pasmo or Icoca
We love arguing and exchanging ideas in Germany. The Mediterranean countries are worse 🤣🤣🤣🤣thanks for posting.

Like=development of civilization around nature without ruining its beauty
Dislike=finding a good paying job
Anime
1:16 Japan one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world and you can't use credit cards over there. WTF Japan
The boredom... I'm surprised their isn't a larger problem with booze or drugs..
2:53 残念ながらその偏見は日本が一番弱い。貴方が外国に行ったら、そんなもんじゃないよ。いわゆる、西側の国でもね。
The love is that they are pretty cool people and also I like asians.
Hate: well there is really nothing I hate about it.
I C, you dress up in Lolita fashion, and call yourself kids, fair enough
TBH, Japan is the best place to live in the world, but that's just my opinion.
