Using a foundation mold

- My previous video shows how the mold was made. Pretty easy. This shows my third attempt at making a full sheet of foundation. Not perfect, but I think after a few tries the result would be fine. Certainly good enough already for starter strips! Going to take this to Faranah, Guinea with Winrock, in hopes the villagers can use it to make starter strips for the new KTB hives. Beats climbing a tree naked at night and burning the bees while getting stung mercilessly, which was the custom until very recently, and is still done a lot today. Lloyd Ziegler
Beehive cells do not overlap parallel from side to side. The vertices are in the center of the opposite side. And the walls only cross across the plane of the comb
OK,OK ..U REDEEMED YOURSELF,MUCH BETTER!!!
Nice Job Lloyd
Please see the video on making the molds. You can buy the plastic based foundation sheets from any beekeeping supply.

What do you do with it.
Why my beeswax get broken
Thanks for posting this information. I'm working in Afghanistan and just taught a local beek group how to do this. I found the silicone at: www.silicones-inc.com out of High Point, NC. They have a number of various silicone products. I purchased the GI-1000 silicone and am very pleased. The 10 lb kit will make 8-10 sets of molds, maybe a dozen. Saved my project a lot of money vs. a foundation roller mill. Thanks again!!!
How can i get this Foundation sheet??
I would like to buy a mold from you please. Am not able to make my own. Am happy to pay for the mold and for the shipping.....

sure Noni, just email me.
Absolutely don't use water, remove and trim the wax foundation while warm and let cool down slowly on piece of cardboard to insure the best mechanical strength.
Cooling the wax too fast with water make the wax fragile and brittle.
Hi Noni,
email me at moigboi2@gmail.com if you still want a mold.
How would it be if you rubbed it with a lump of ice instead of putting water on the mold?
