They can wear armor tho... this include enchanted armor And since a iron farm is easy to do, just make a bunch of iron armor and weapon, this is enought They can also eat golden apples but this isnt very usefull... I put a full netherite armor on one baby fox and it defeated 5 wither skeletons alone

Things needed for fox army: A bunch of berries, an obscene amount of emeralds, too many leashes, a villager farm, the coreect work stands for villagers, more patience then the average minecraft player has. I think I'm sticking with wolves.

One problem I see with this is that foxes prioritize holding food over other items and will drop them if they go over items such as rotten flesh. Also the leads will make them hard to take around in rough terrain and have to make a road for them to go and can't use an elytra like dogs. Also I think it's faster and easier to breed and tame dogs than foxes

Im not sure if this works in Java Edition but in Bedrock you can give the foxes armor aswell, It doesnt show that they are wearing it but if you drop a piece of armor on them they will pick it up and keep the axe in their mouth. If you want the armor back you unfortunately have to kill the fox. Yes the armor does protect them because I tried to kill a fox with a sharpness 5 netherite sword, without the armour it takes 2 hits or 1 crit and with armor it takes 5 hits or 3 crits. The armor I gave the fox was plain netherite armor (No Enchants).
Fun fact)If you hit a zombie with a wolf the wolf will bite it and foxes do the same thing :to tame a wolf: use any kind of meat unless it’s a puffer fish :to tame a fox: use berrys

It’s really up to preference if you would want a powerful but slow to produce army (foxes) ,or a Cheap replaceable army that can afford to lose troops while your the damage dealer (wolves). My preference is below👇 I personally prefer a cheap army because I don’t want to go through the hassle of making a pricey army that’s hard to move that can also be destroyed with splash or lingering wither/instant damage potions or even just fire. yes wolf army’s have that same weakness but wolfs so fast and cheap to replace it’s a better trade and they can still put in some work. But that is just my opinion. What’s your opinion?

Foxes dont seek out items though. Allay is way better than copper golem. All copper golem did was be a chicken surrounded by pressure plates

Getting a fox, get a diamond axe, found 2 normal foxes and give them that thing, and now it not even follows you
You can also add efficiency V to the axes to make the foxes attack faster

Ok, the item equipping makes sense. Both are good to just overwhelm someone, though. Helps break an opponents armor.
