It is the high Tower that I seek. Tall, black and mighty. The place where all worlds converge and where all times come together. The great Tower that is outside of time and that occupies no place in space and that, however, is the center of the whole. I came here, to the middle of nowhere, looking for It.
Is there a way of adding movement to the clouds? Maybe it sounds silly, but somehow I was also thinking about a cat or dog walking / relaxing in the foreground, but maybe that would be too much? Thank you, this soundscape / living image is great!
[JOURNAL ENTRY: JUNE 10, 2027] Today marks 7 months since the outbreak hit. Me and a few friends happened on what looks like some kind of outpost this morning. Seems like it was recently deserted in the mountain foothills. Was this place a research facility of some sort? It's still stocked with a good 2-3 years worth of rations and water. Well, so long as no one overeats. Perhaps it was some sort of armed forces outpost? We all found a good sized room with a doomsday enthusiast's dreams worth of weapons and ammunition a few hours ago. The Comms don't look like they've seen anything resembling use in months. There's a nice, thick layer of dust on everything in the Comms room. I think it might be a good idea to keep it that way, at least for now. Keep a low profile. Don't want any unnecessary attention for the time being. I don't really think the purpose of this building matters at the moment. This place is pretty well fortified, it has power, insulation, and most importantly, a shower and some beds. It's been weeks since any of us were able to take a proper bath or get any good amount of sleep. I'm really looking forward to when my shift on watch ends. If only it wasn't the end of the world. The view from the Comms room is incredible. This would've been a decent vacation spot if the whole world hadn't gone to hell... [JOURNAL ENTRY END]

They had been ordered to upgrade the repeater control system at Relay Site 1 by installing an autonomous computer control unit with remote off-site interface access capability. Once they had set the new systems to autonomous operation mode, they were to move on to Site 2 to perform the same upgrade and then return to base for re-assignment.
"Ghost Tower1 to Ghost Tower2 do you read over?" Yeah loud and clear over. "Yeah our reading shows signals off the charts, are we expecting visitors over?" Ah, that's a negative T1. "T2 we see figures over at your 3 above the cliff, can you confirm? Over..................
Outpost Log Entry: 08/22/2024 It’s day 187 since the Outbreak, and I’ve found shelter in this derelict outpost overlooking the Pacific, managing to restore power using a backup generator with most of the systems back online now. I found an equipment closet with binoculars, amongst other items, and set up a small, portable 2-meter transceiver and roll up antenna that I’ve been using to contact a woman named Yuki about 2 clicks to the south in the lighthouse overlooking Scuttle Point. She lost her family in the initial ravages of the Outbreak, and as the relentless rains roll on throughout the darkness, sometimes I can hear her softly sobbing on the 2 meter late at night or catch a glimpse of her with the binoculars against the railing of the spire, a stark contrast to the endless gloom bearing down upon all. The zeds can’t reach us here as there is a sturdy chain link fence wreathed in barbed wire encompassing both locations. Soon I’ll take my rifle and pack ladened with supplies and try to make my way to her, but for now, I will search my soul alone and try to figure out how everything went wrong. God save us.
i climbed all the way up here to strip the copper wire out of this outpost. didn't realize the DINK was live. i'm scared to shut it down. but damn i need that wire.
