Hey Miami, insanely useful video as always! I got 3 questions. 1. You mentioned to high pass guitars at around 80 hz, I’m wondering if I should go even lower with low tuned guitars. 2. Secondly, when choosing which one to cut in the sub area, how do you usually approach to pick either of them? I guess it usually depends on the context, but once again, do you consider the tuning of the bass guitar? With lower tuned bass guitar I guess it makes sense to cut the kick drum. 3. Lastly, what’s the benefit of side chaining bass eq on the kick in the low areas instead of a compressor? Do you use them both? Thanks!
I’ve wanted to do this for the longest… but there’s just so many daws I would have to do it for. If I could do it I a preset way it would be amazing -Miami
It seems like every time I try to use side chain in JST EQ it crashes the whole project. Idk why but it could literally be the only plugin in the whole project and it would still crash. Everything else though I love it!
I already emailed JST support about this last October (it specifically crashes when External Sidechain is used, Internal Sidechain works fine - I'm using Reaper on Win 11) and they said that they are already aware about the bug and said "are due to release an update for fix, asap, from our developers". A couple months have passed, no updates yet as of the moment. Hopefully a fix comes out soon.
Oh so when you split your bass youre REALLY splitting it up then. instead of having 2 different EQ's crossing over at the same frequency youre basically dipping out everything from 250 to 500? Never thought of doing that. may have to give it a try. I always tend to forget to Low pass things too. I need to be more diligent when it comes to hi and low passing things
@@joeymusic I think your plugins are very interesting ...anyway you have a full review of all its features? How do you handle cramping and oversampling?
I was literally watching "5 EQ frequencies destroying your mix" and now I see this video in my notifications😂
You're a psychic Miami!
🙌
I always learn something when I watch your videos. Great stuff man!!
JST EQ is such a lifesaver honestly
Also, transition game is unbelievable 💪🏼
Thank you si much just in the point ❤
sometimes it works to high pass the guitars up to 120hz and it makes both the bass and guitar breathe a lot more
thank you
I have to buy that EQ plugin no matter what
Very cool and useful video! Yes, more positive videos please! Man there is a really beautiful distressor behind you, are those monitors Kali Audio?

He said you can go up to 200hz, my guitar is in drop a and i cut up to 120hz i just do it on the amp sim in the cab sec
Are these universal tips regardless of genre? Great stuff! Thank you!
Yes they are!
You have a cool hat!
Is there a way you guys can make templates to sell for different styles

@@joeymusic well if you guys ever do it I’ll buy it for sure. You could also start with one and just add more daw after a while

Dude …we have tons of eqs even for free…not trying to be rude but you should come back to earth 😂 ;)
It’s one of our best selling plugins.
Then use your free EQ and let the rest of us enjoy the other products ;)
