  • We change the drip line orientation and track the growth of our plants during the unseasonable cool May/June (staying below 80 degrees!) as we prepare for a pollination around the summer solstice 6/21.

    Love it! Keep up the hard work! The best reason for turning your lines this way is, now you'll have more control over the watering in the back of the plants come late season.:) Most of the big boys started this 3 or 4 years ago and had very good results. They have soil moisture readers that let them know how much more water the front part of the plant needs later in the season compared to the stump area. Can't wait to see the progress as the season progresses!!;)

    Hi - When do you start watering them via the drip lines, with I guess just water this year?
    I didn't notice any hints that they are being so just yet - but there is a hose there;
    Just wondered - 'pal2

      I started a few weeks ago with a modest 30 mins a week on the drip. This is abnormally low mostly due to cool weather and a lot of organic matter that retains water. I’ve since moved to every 3-4 days or so and once we get out of the 70s the duration of each watering will increase. Best thing I’ve found is to use a water meter and/or dig into the soil and check. Trust that.
