- Spiked Online Editor Brandan O’Neill says there are “real attempts” by the media to paint Italian politician Giorgia Meloni as a “modern-day fascist”.
“This is not about people wanting the far right to come back into power,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“This is about ordinary voters wanting to push back against the anti-borders, woke agenda of the European Union in particular.
“And to reclaim some of those things that we used to think were good - like national sovereignty, democratic rights and the right for a nation to determine the future of itself.”

In Europe Anti Immigration is more directed towards preventing the demographic shift which without change to immigration will see most European nations become majority non European within the next 30-40 years. This victory gives me hope for the future.
I'm from Portugal and it made my blood boil when our president, Prime Minister, news channels and our different left parties saying how "this was the return of fascism, how it's the return of bigotry" and yet they were the ones judging and condemning people for their opinions even before they've started working with them.
Plus our President is currently visiting California to visit the biggest portuguese community in the US (how I feel sorry for my poor brothers and sisters in that hell hole) and he kept going on about how progressive California is (nothing about the crime, homelessness, etc) but then he said Portugal is the California of Europe. He meant it has a compliment but seeing what California is all I could think about was how insulting that was.
And democrat leaders keep spending taxpayer money on projects our country doesn't need in companies where their members have invested interests in? I'm sure its just a coincidence.

As a Swede I read a lot of BS in Swedish media coverage. A growing part of the Swedish citizens voted for SD that has a main focus on helping Sweden first and after that helping persons that often just would like to get a better life, sadly on the expense of the Swedish citizens (read taxpayers).
