Case information: Since the end of 2012, Le Dinh Kiem invited his brother Le Van Hanh to plan a drug trafficking network from Nghe An to provinces and cities in the Southeast region. By August 2013, Kiem and Hanh had illegally transported, stored and traded more than 600 bars of heroin. On August 5, 2013, defendant Ngo Thi My Van was on her way to transport 2 bars of heroin purchased from Kiem for consumption when she was caught red-handed by Binh Duong Provincial Police. Immediately afterwards, the Police Investigation Agency of Binh Duong Province expanded the investigation, urgently arrested and searched Kiem's ​​residence, seizing 34 bricks of heroin. Through the struggle, Kiem declared that from the end of 2012 until his arrest, through Hanh he transported more than 600 bars of heroin and 879.70 grams of synthetic drugs from Nghe An to Binh Duong. Kiem found a match to sell about 570 bars of heroin and paid Hanh more than 3 million USD, 4,000 AUD and over 18.9 billion VND, Kiem earned a profit of nearly 4 billion VND in cash. This money, Kiem used to buy a car and used it all for his family. Particularly, the amount of 99,400 USD and more than 4 billion VND was confiscated by the police at Kiem's ​​house from the sale of dozens of heroin cakes but had not yet been handed over to Hanh.
