    One downside of Sheffield is don’t get to see top end at worlds

      @@lucaa4480by holding back they can break the record by a bigger margin since sheffield judges based on how much you beat the WR

      @@lucaa4480Sheffield is scored by how far past the total WR each lifter goes. Also there’s a prize for breaking the WR on each individual lift as well as the total. Since some lifters don’t need to go all out to win worlds, they hold back so they can break the world records at Sheffield and have a better chance of winning since the prizes are much bigger there.

      I think he’s trying to make it easier for himself to win Sheffield. I think he wants to keep the WR total lower so that he can blow it up come Sheffield. I think if he absolutely pushed he’s capable of 850+. Looked like he had alot left on bench and deadlift tbh.

      yeah i dont get it. Feels like the head judge gave the press comman without actually waiting for the bar to go motionless. I still think he would have gotten it, but that call from the judge was iffy

      Drug tested...never a guarantee for natural... Looking at previous lifters caught etc...there are plenty of rotten apples in the ipf...numbers are going crazy in recent years....do the math 😅

    Kinda dumb from Austin to blow the world record with that much. If he would have just pulled ahead of Bakkelund he would have it alot easier at Sheffield in 2025 and would guarantee him alot more money.

      Where do you see him struggle? He did all these lifts on rpe 7-8, except his 3rd squat. This is no where near his peak

    Meh i hate walking out squats,... But I do 4long mini bands doubled up with 225lbs bar weight as training weigh... That's about 500lbs @the top of the bar... No belt no knees wraps...

    John Haak on steroids in 90 kg class could do 365 kg. This one did 311 kg in 74 kg class with drug testing? I just don't buy it.
