    I wish Wenger had left Arsenal after they lost to Barcelona in the Champions League Final. From then on, Arsene did nothing but bring his legacy at the club down in my opinion. When he came in, he completely changed the way the club operated. A complete overhaul culturally inside the club, and with that brought some amazing success. For a decent stretch of time, Arsene Wenger had Arsenal playing some of the best football in England and I'd even say Europe at times. They were so pretty to watch in the early 2000s, before Barcelona and Guardiola came and blew the footballing worlds collective minds when we watched that team play.
    Whether you like Jose Mourinho or not, he was right about atleast one thing in this video. When he made the comment about Wenger not being under pressure to get the sack, he was correct. For a club the size and prestige as Arsenal, it's actually pretty crazy that Wenger was the gaffer for so long while achieving absolutely nothing but a top 4 place.

    • @mrplut0
      @mrplut0 3 года назад +11

      And now top 4 feels like a dream for us Arsenal fans. You know, I’ve always had this feeling that Arsenal was never a top club, they’re always was a midtable club. Wenger overachieved in this club with the constant UCL place, and guess what? He did it all with Bendtner and Chamakh in the sheet. It was only his final years that we finally see the real downfall of Arsenal. I love Arteta, I back him still, but nobody can imitate Wenger’s beautiful football game and his revolutionary philosophy.

      He made a lot of money for the club by developing the players and earning the money for the club by selling them they felt very indebted to him

    • @Leinja
      @Leinja 2 года назад +7

      22 seasons, 3 Premier titles, 7 FA cups, 7 Community Shields, 3 EFL Cups. This and only twice out of top-4, which happened in his last two seasons with Arsenal. I'd say Wenger did a decent job, to say the least. Man United was just so damn dominant under Fergie and first Chelsea and later Man City got oil money.

    • @mesicek7
      @mesicek7 Год назад +4

      lmao dude if Wenger left after the 2006 final you'd be in an even worse state. It was all Wenger that you could even compete and finish top 4 season after season with a limited budget due to stadium cost.

    • @Ult_Media
      @Ult_Media 10 месяцев назад +1

      You clearly dont understand the miracles Wenger was working getting us top 4 with some of the squads we had. Some of those early 2010s squads had no business being anywhere near the top half of the league yet he still managed top 4 while functioning with essentially no money as the club curbed their spending to essentially net zero after the construction of the Emirates.

      If you only care about titles yes Mourinho won more, but football is not just about titles. It's way more. Wenger revolutionized the Premier League when he came to England. The style, the freedom his players had, the flair, beautiful football, new and unseen training methods, special diets for players... his legacy is based on that. What you see today with Pep and Manchester City and other world class managers - he was the first one who brought that fitness and athletic level to the league. Even Fergie had to adjust to that. That's why Fergie and Wenger will always be bigger premier league legends than Mourinho.
