That is the definition of luxury on 4 wheels, absolutely gorgeous

Love your enthusiasm. I am from that Disco Era of opulent land yachts. In my 60's now, I actually drive a 76 Town Car, 22k original miles. The color of the car that you are demonstrating was called Cordovan from the color choices of that year.

that's actually super cool, I didn't know the name of the paint color on the car! And thank you so much man! it was a ton of fun ride around in for the day, I can definitely see why it makes a great daily driver!

Dark Cordovan Metallic outside with Orange paint stripes. Cordovan Media velour twin comfort lounge seats… I had the same exact car.. love them.. there may be naysayers out there, but this is is a epitome of 70’s style luxury which came to an end in 1980 when even these tankers got the downsizing treatment. ❤❤

it was definitely the end of an era of some really amazing cars! Thanks for telling me a little bit more about the color and interior, I unfortunately only had about a day or so to try to do some research to make the video, but I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to share a little history on such an awesome car!

@@JapaneseMinitruck you’re welcome. I still drive my 79 Mark V Collector’s Series coupe as a daily driver. Midnight Blue Metallic, Midnight Blue landau roof, dark gold paint stripes, midnight blue bucket seats with console.

77 one of the most fun car I ever had drove it for years, extremely dependable and it sure was a head turner. There is one just like I had on the show Shitts Creek

That's awesome to hear! And my friend loves it, like I said it's his daily driver and he drove it from Pennsylvania to Maine and then back to Pennsylvania! The car didn't skip a beat! It's a sper cool car!

A friend once had a Lincoln Town Car like the one in the video except it was dark brown with beige vinyl top and beige velour interior. He bought it used with about 50K miles and drove it for many years with very few problems. Like the car in the video, his car also had no opera windows which I think looks nicer and makes the car look less dated. These cars, especially the Town Car version, are so comfortable. You really cannot buy anything with the same level of comfort today, except perhaps a large luxury SUV.

That color paint typically buffs out very nicely followed up with pink filling glaze, I know there are newer techniques but it looks like it’s worth the TLC

My grandmother had a '77 2 door in gold. My grandfather bought it for her, even had her name engraved on a plaque installed on the passenger side. I loved driving that car, the suspension just floated.

The Lincolns manufactured in the early 1970's had longer skirts that covered more of the rear wheel tires. A lot of these cars from this period ended up with the same paint issues as the one in this video. Clearcoat peeled or faded. In the late 1970's and 1980's Lincoln had most of the luxury car market.

03:09 try tilting the steering wheel down. I only have it that high to get in and out.

If you’re gonna repaint it, I would recommend black. It would make this car pop.

wow, 8 hours drive from Pennsylvania? Your friend must have a backside rock then, but seriously, the cushion on that car looks comfortable enough for your friend. not to mention the backseat of course. would be feeling like a mob boss while getting chauffeured around town in that car. If the paint could be touched up or repainted again, it would look stunning.

@@JapaneseMinitruck really? Awww, that's too bad, otherwise it would turn out to be a stunning car. Not many youngsters drive that kind of car these days anymore. Look forward to your next video man ✌️

no, no it's a good thing, he's not getting rid of it. He bought it to be his daily driver, but he just just got it with them the last couple months so eventually, I'm sure if he keeps it long enough then he'll probably put it on air and maybe paint it and all that fun stuff!

There is only one reason to have owned this car: the number of bodies which could fit in the trunk.

If you thought the Lincoln had soft steering you should drive the same year vs model Cadillac

it was a fun car to film! what caught me was just how many unique factory options it had as an American car from the 70s!!

The gold sounds very cool, I don't know the story on this car, as like what part of the country came from, but definitely probably saw a lot of sun wherever it was!
