James 5:13-16 - Is any among you sick? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.
Mark 6:12-13 - And they went out, and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.
Some of the scriptures that Apostle Takim addresses in these video are the James 5 and Mark 6 that many pastors use to validate the use of olive oil which they call anointing oil.

I have gone and am thoroughly going through new testament I have only come across maybe verses that's James and Mathew when Jesus sent the disciples
It's a pity that these churches of today don't really understand the power and authority they have in Christ bcos if they do they won't use olive oil again, in James 5:14-15 it says prayer with faith that's what heals not the olive oil, God bless you Sir for these wonderful message
Most men of God who use anointing items are instructed to pray over them and release them..Never speak against what you don't know.Did not people take kerchiefs from Paul to go and heal the sick? The Holy Spirit is still working even today.Ask Him and hear from Him before speaking against His works.If demons call anointed water to be fire,do you think they are lying? It is the anointed who can pray over an item for it to carry the anointing.

Oil should only be used by the Elders for anointing the sick along with the prayer of faith James 5 verse 14. Oil is not done away with according to this Scripture.

But Jesus gave oil to his disciples and sent them out and they return with testimonies of demon felling before them but Jesus said they should rejoice that their names are written in haven, read your bible here and tell us what it means what was the oil for? Was the oil for demons or what was it given to them to go and anoint vessels? Or was Jesus still in the old testament as of then

The bible didn't record that Jesus gave them olive oil to anoint people...don't make that inference.
There are so many practises in the modern church that, though they appear good and spiritual, they have no basis in the scriptures. They are religious/cultural acts that people have refused to do away with.
Oil was symbolic for the Holy Spirit, why would I still want to be using that symbol, if I am expected to have Him living in me? John 14:26; 16:13; 1 John 2:20. It is the prayer of faith that produces result, not any object or symbol Heb.11
Idolatry isn't just about wooden images..anything that is exalted to be equal or above God is an idol, including pastors.

The Apostles of Jesus used the Anointing Oil. Stop the ignorance and read the Bible with the eyes of love. Why are you heretic, where did the Bible say Jesus used oil....he sent them two by two and gave them "POWER" not oil...since the disciples were used to Judaism they carried anointing oil with them, Jesus never gave them oil...please don't be heretic, read and understand the Bible before arguing blindly...
