Nagasaki is very famous, because of World War II. There's also an American novelty song from the 1920s, called "Nagasaki".

Was going to say the same thing.
Even here in Australia, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are very famous for the atomic bombings in WW2.
One thing that I found very gladdening was when my son was learning about the world wars in highschool history this year, they actually had an assignment which asked them to consider the morality of using the atomic bombs on Japan, especially seeing as we now know Japan was in the process of trying to negotiate a surrender to the allies via the USSR and her ability to wage war was pretty much reduced to zero.

The candy from the bad fortune is a Japanese version of a Italian candy called Nipples of Venus.
