Here’s the miscommunication: Everyone has there own agenda, and as such, few are taking the time to hear what the other is saying. Dr. Umar isn’t arguing against the points made by those of us who are saying that we have little to no contacts with Africa; and we aren’t actually saying that we have no contacts to Africa.
What we are saying is that the slave-ship narrative is false, and that those of us so-called African-Americans did not arrive in America on slave ships. Here’s the kicker: You Africans know that we are correct.
I will accept that all life originated in Africa. That would include the aboriginals of Australia; the Irish in Ireland; the Indians in India: the Chinese in China; the Nigerians in Nigeria; etc., and the so-called Black Man in America. We all trace our “humanity” back to Africa.
However, if no one is asking the people of China or Australia to abandon their lands, why are we being asked to give up on our lands? It can’t be because of skin color; there are many more people in India with skin darker than us here in America. So, what happened to the “Copper-Colored” race; did they kill them? No. They merely shortened “Copper-Colored” to just “Colored.” Guess who these “Colored” people are today? Let’s follow the “paper trail.” Colored went to Mulatto, and Negro, then a few other iterations before finally landing at….guess what….AFRICAN-AMERICAN.
Now, let me get into some history that many of you may not know, the history that Dr. Umar isn’t willing to hear. First, the African slave ship narrative that we got from Alex Haley’s ROOTS was a lie. Haley admitted it before his death, and he was sued by the white Jew who he stole the story from, and agreed to pay him half of all proceeds from ROOTS. The first Africans that came here on Europeans ships didn’t come here in chains, but under contract just like whites who came here from Europe.
When the Europeans first came here they encountered a place populated by so-called “Indians”, the aboriginal peoples of America. What did they call those people? The “Copper-Colored” race. Why? Because those people were of dark brown hue.
In the year 1600 there were approximately 10 million “Indians” here, divided into approximately 600 “Tribes” {families}. So, if it’s true that we “African-Americans” are the aboriginal peoples of America, how did we end up as slaves picking cotton in the American south? That isn’t hidden, there’s no big secret there, all anyone has to do is read. In the summer of 1666 the Virginia Council - Governor declared war on the Copper-Colored; aboriginal; American Indians in Maryland, with instructions to kill the men, and enslave the women and children. Those instructions were common in several wars the Europeans declared on or people from the mid 1600’s through the 1700’s.
What was the cause of these wars? For the most part it was those of us who refused to contract with the Europeans and move west. As a result, many American Indians ended up prisoners of war, and enslaved. What did the Mormons say about slavery in America? If you read their documents you wouldn’t know that any Africans were enslaved in America as they were clear in identifying it as the “INDIAN SLAVE TRADE.” Enslaved Africans paled in comparison to the number of enslaved Indians in America.
In fact we were never called black or African. Before 1960 we were not identified as “Black” or “African-American.” Why? Because that’s not who we are, and everyone but us knew it. From the early 1700’s to the early 1900’s we could be jailed or killed for identifying as American Indian.
Now here’s a big kick in the gut: Dr. Umar Johnson is a descendant of these American Indians. His sixth great grandparents are Issac and Betsey Bailey. Issac Bailey born in 1769 was born FPOC {Free Person Of Color} a copper colored American Indian who come from a long line of Bailey’s in Maryland. American Indians who name is derived from “Bey” which has a mind blowing history in and of itself that will prove who the Bailey’s are.
Betsey Bailey was born in 1774, a descendant of Indian prisoners of war, which is how she became enslaved. Together Issac and Betsey had 12 children, who took on the status of their mother. Nine of those children were daughters. The second oldest daughter was Harriet. She’s the mother of Frederick Douglass, and that is how Dr. Umar is related to Douglass. Dr. Umar comes from another daughter named Betty aka Young Betts. I know all of this very well because I come from the youngest daughter Priscilla. Frederick Douglass is my first cousin 5 generations back. Dr. Umar is a 6th cousin of mine.
The Bailey’s were held at the Wye House Plantation in Maryland. In 1835 the owners of Wye House, the Lloyd family, visited Mississippi to purchase property to be used as a cotton plantation. Their plan was to run the Mississippi plantation remotely from Maryland. They were going to breed slaves in Maryland to ship to their cotton plantation in Mississippi.
In the mid to late 1850’s they began shipping the Bailey’s to Mississippi to work their cotton plantation. Today there is a virtual nation of people in Mississippi and Louisiana, or who come out of Mississippi and Louisiana, who descend from Issac and Betsey Bailey who believe that they were captured somewhere in Africa, taken to America, and then sold into slavery in the south to pick cotton. Completely oblivious to the fact that they are actually descendants of American Indians from the north east of America.
Do you see? We are fighting for the truth to be known about what really happened to us. You Africans know that there were no Europeans kidnapping millions of Africans on that continent, y’all know that story is bullshit; and it isn’t helping us for you to help the European hide what was actually done to us. We aren’t arguing that modern man didn’t come out of Africa. We’re arguing that it matters not in the context of our birth rights here.

No he doesn't. It's crazy that people still fall for his tricks. *Never trust anyone talking about liberating our people if they don't, at the very least, belong to any legitimate organization.* Notice Umar never mentions any organizations or the importance of being in a revolutionary organization. All of our black heroes were a part of revolutionary organizations. What makes Umar, a single individual, different? He advances ideas committed to capitalism, individualism, patriarchy ("men are above women"), and homophobia which are all very *right-wing Conservative tendencies.* He just pimps Black Power politics with Malcolm X cadences. There have been many people like him over the years.
There's legitimate organizations such as the Black Alliance for Peace, the All-African People's Revolutionary Party, the African People's Socialist Party, the Party for Socialism and Labor, Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, Black Men Build, Community Movement Builders, and many more. These are all very real and serious organizations that are out there doing the work. Umar is just a mouthpiece and is full of contradictions. People are always in search of a Black Messiah. To many of those same people, Umar is indeed their Black Messiah. Get off the internet and look into joining one of the organizations that I mentioned if you're really serious. Otherwise, like Umar and everyone who falls for his antics, are all talk and no action.

Never trust anyone talking about liberating our people if they don't, at the very least, belong to any legitimate organization. Notice Umar never mentions any organizations or the importance of being in an revolutionary organization. All of our black heroes were a part of revolutionary organizations. What makes Umar, a single individual, different? He advances ideas committed to capitalism, individualism, patriarchy ("men are above women"), and homophobia which are all very right-wing Conservative tendencies. He just pimps Black Power politics with Malcolm X cadences. There have been many people like him over the years.
There's organizations such as the Black Alliance for Peace, the All-African People's Revolutionary Party, the African People's Socialist Party, the Party for Socialism and Labor, Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, Community Movement Builders, and many more. These are all very real and serious organizations that are out there doing the work. Umar is just a mouthpiece and is full of contradictions. People are always in search of a Black Messiah. To many of those same people, Umar is indeed their Black Messiah.

Don't be indoctrinated by this Garbage.. As a white man I'm telling right now that I don't care about race when I consider who I believe in or not.. Peoples individual moral character are all that matters.. Hateful people will try to lead you down deceptive paths.. Do not be deceived by this mans agenda.. He is toxic.. I know racism and discrimination has been committed to many people in America's.. Look at the history of any nation and they are all hiding skeletons in the closet.. People are not perfect.. The realization that I have come to is that all of us are flawed and we all need help.. And we should all be helping each other.. That's what i intend to do.. And race or age or sexual preference has nothing to with it.. all people need help.. All I'm saying it don't be blinded by the messages of hate by wolves who hide in Shepard's cloths.. They don't care about the flock.. They care about what they can take from it..

    • @El_Chuncho

And you can't have any of those without being in a revolutionary organization. The contradictions are endless.
