I was affected personally by the Palisades fire and we were evacuated twice. I am so grateful to the LA firefighters, Mountaingate volunteer firefighters, 900 prisoners, Canadian firefighters, Mexican firefighters, African firefighters, firefighters from Milcreek Utah, all the volunteers, all the celebrity volunteers, Canadian planes & pilots, LA helicopters & pilots, finally gallons of water, gallons of fire retardant and the amazing National Guard who were camped out above my street on Canyonback Rd. They saved our neighborhood from burning to the ground. I thank President Trump, as well, for shaming Newsom into doing something to fight the wildfires throughout our city.

I moved in 2023 to Texas from a fire prone area because of wind in the northern CA area. Rob is correct about the fireworks being an almost nightly event. It is very stressful twice a year to be under an evacuation order because of the wind spreading fire around the county at any time. I'm concerned my former neighbors will have an unaffordable insurance premiums in the future.
We have similar issues with fireworks with idiots our here in Colorado..I'm a native and live in a rural area. City slickers move out here and set off the fireworks with several repercussions ( livestock hurt/dying/ PTSD, fires etc. But they don't care , it's infuriating.
From Southern California here, and we left too. 3 times evacuated was 3 times too many. Stress won my “no” about moving to Tennessee. I should have said “hell yeah!!!” years sooner.

Also brush cleanup around populated areas would be great and get some water down there there is no reason for the coastline to do without water. they can get from Canada Or inse they are stating all over again they could use the hydrant system network re fit with PVC piping and get pumps set up that would pull water from ocean when necessary. It is unlimited source of water and PVC isn't corrosive!
If I lived in California I would have only one question regarding these wildfires. How is it that our firefighters don't have water to fight fires? It's amazing that problem is a reoccurring issue that hasn't been solved.That's insane to me. It's not like a tornado or hurricane. We know how to fight fires. You need water.
I would imagine in reaction to the California fires Progressive is cancelling fire insurance in AZ now in certain areas. And we do our maintenance and controlled burns. We have to get a permit to start a fire. You can do it online so not hard to get a yes if fire chance is low or a no if high. More fallout from California not doing it due diligence.
