I want to pay tribute to Billy Strayhorn, who composed Lush Life when he was only 19 years old. I believe everyone can enjoy a lush life, regardless of their age or exposure to Jazz. Originally called “Life is Lonely”, the song got its new name as Duke Ellington was always asked to perform “that song about lush life”.
