In this lesson, you will learn how to say ‘Speak, Say, Talk and Tell’ in Thai There are three Thai words that you might be confused when and how to use them i.e. พูด/pôot/ คุย/kui/ บอก/bòk/ I’m going to clarify your confusion and by the end of the video you will know how to use these words in Thai correctly

Kru Niew, thanks very much. I have a question about how you know if the speaker is saying Jane hasn't spoken about her feelings, amd Jane doesn't really speak about her feelings? Both sentences would use เคย right?
เคย talk about used to, or telling experience. If you want to mean she has never talked... then ไม่เคย 😊

ครูนิวคะ what about the word, “เอ่ย”, does it have a similar meaning to the word, “พูด” ?
They mean similar but not many ppl use the word เอ่ย 😊

SSul- Eul- pool/poon- Da means a long talk from speakers chest.Sul-Gyo-- Haa- Da, Ggang- Eui- Ha- Da.....Jan- So- Ree- Han- Da, Gyo- Hoon-Eul- Ju- Da, Ga- Reu- Chee- Da... Talk and Teach from speaking of mouth and tongue. It means someone does not have one of two....difficult in body.

Great lesson! Regarding พูดถึง, would พูดเกี่ยวกับ mean the same thing?
I think they are interchangeable but am not really sure.
They are very close. So most of the time I think it can be interchangeable. However, in detail they are different.

Sometimes people say บอกว่า as well, what's the difference with พูดว่า ?
It's quite close พูดว่า .... say/said that...
บอกว่า ... told/tell that . .. 😊
In Koreans, Mal- Ha- Da, Yee- Ya- Ghy- Ha- Da, Non- Ha- Da, Da- Two- Da,(argue speaking each other), Deul- Yeo- Jun- Da, Sok- Sak- Yee- Da,......
Gap- Euny Ga- Peun means two syllable adjective, paid debts in a Korean sentence structure.
👍🙏 " kun săa-mâat poot daai gèe paa-saa? " ...also "mâi kôi" always means, "does not or not quite...?"

What about พุดคุย? Is พุด = คุย =พุดคุย?
And เล่า? I heard also translated as "to tell". Can we assume เล่า = บอก?
-พูดคุย means to chat about something usually two people or in a group exchanging their opinions e.x. พวกเขาพูดคุยถึงเรื่องวันวาน ( They are talking/chatting about the old days)
- I think คุย and พูดคุย mean totally the same thing. You can either use one of them, but, in my opinion, I think คุย is more common in an informal situation. However, the word พูด can mean the same as พูดคุย and คุย but not always พูด. พูด , as mentioned in the video, can have various meaning. It can also mean พูดคุย and คุย in some cases and it gives a feeling like one-way communication (I don't really know how to explain).
- เล่า is mostly used when you want to tell someone about something which is generally a story about anything. E.x. เล่าเรื่องของเธอให้ฟังหน่อย ( Could you tell me about your story?). เล่า usually comes with ให้ฟัง as I mentioned. เล่า can also means talk about something e.x. เขาเล่าเรื่องวันหยุดหน้าร้อน (He is talking about his summer vacation.) บอก, on the other hand, is not really used as เล่า because I always used บอก when I want to tell/ask/demand someone to do something (depends on the situation) e.x. แม่บอกพ่อให้ล้างจาน (Mom asks dad to wash the dishes) เธอบอกเขาให้หยุดเล่นเกม (She demanded him to stop playing games.). And have you met "บอกเล่า" this means as well as บอก but few people use it.
