So baseball has been a sport I’ve never really given a chance a fair chance. Like most kids I played T Ball and some coach-pitch, but I was just terrible and didn’t understand the game / didn’t have the motivation to learn. I, of course, got into the other big American sports, but as I matured baseball began to pique my interest since my dad has always talked about how nuanced of game it is. But because it’s a rather subtle game I’ve had a hard time finding an Avenue into the game, but BDE is seriously becoming that avenue. These videos have opened my eyes to the hilariously beautiful culture of baseball. Coming from watching the NBA or NFL, the atmosphere BDE paint’s in these videos is such a big breath of fresh air. You’ve got weirdo’s, hotheads, great storylines, a rich history, passionate fans… there’s just so much to love and the culture around the game is distinctly unique compared to other team based sports. I hope to start to really pick up the rules / depth of the game and start watching here soon, but I just wanted to share and thank you BDE for you great and easily-watchable videos!
The 2023 baseball season has been FREAKING AWESOME! I love it! Yeah, there's always going to be some work to be done figuring out the nuances of new rules, how to implement them, and what needs to be changed, but on the whole, the changes that they've made have obviously impacted the games positively, IMO. Which is funny, because I was one of the curmudgeons complaining about the new rules and how awful they'd be. I freely admit that I was dead wrong. (Although there are still some things that need to get cleaned up within these changes.) And I love that there seems to be real excitement in MLB this year, too.
I'm primarily a hockey guy but the new rules and overall excitement over the game has quickly made this my second sport. Oh, and this channel too is a huge part of that so thanks

I went to my first baseball game in a year tonight and my first since the rule changes. Mets vs Rays, 10 innings that flew by (in a good way), and a walk-off Mets win against the best team in baseball. It was legitimately amazing. I have not cared about baseball since probably 2010, and watching that game tonight has properly reignited my interest in the sport. It was better before. You are over a decade late on when the games there were awesome. Before Mount Davis there were metal bleachers in the outfield seating area. Fans would stomp them and that place got rocking. If you can find Geronimo Berroa at bat videos you can get an idea of that.
Our dugout celebration is such a hit that one of the sections turned into a "bird bath" section where fans get sprinkled with water when the players do.

Honestly, I gotta respect the lower payroll teams massively, and as a Yankees fan it makes me so confused wtf we’re doing with all our money😂 An orioles jersey is looking all the more tempting to buy…great video!
It's quite simple. The Yankees win every year. They don't play pathetically and lose miserably for 3-7 years just so they can get cheap top draft picks every year. The Yankees have to buy their players and draft very scrupulously since they make the playoffs every single year. The Yanks drafted Judge and Garrett Cole, for example. They also drafted Jeter, Volpe, Severino, Bernie, Posada, Mattingly, etc.

Love this guy he always bring his heart and passion in his videos and his love for baseball. U gotta love it!!!
hands down most entertaining sports youtuber
@@cranbell99 agreed
I'm primarily a hockey guy but the new rules and overall excitement over the game has quickly made this my second sport. Oh, and this channel too is a huge part of that so thanks
I love your wild and crazy storylines and deep dives into baseball history, but I think a monthly recap of the current season would be really cool!! Keep it up though regardless because these videos give me a will to live
MLB only exists because of... dollar hotdog
The changes to the game are an overwhelming success. Until those changes inevitably will cause major controversy in post season games that actually matter.
This is the take.
1000%
Imo they should scrap the pitch clock in the postseason
@@skullcrusher9165 they have the data to support they don't need the pitch clock in post season.
Look at the WBC, 4 hour games that you couldn't take your eyes off
Equality ro the lowest common denomination
I love how the tigers celebration is them putting on Red Wings gear and taking a slapshot
It is amazing to see baseball thriving right now. Let's go O's!!!!! #birdland
IASIP episode: Dolla Dolla Dog Night.
Mac gets a cancer scare, Frank finds out how a taser feels, Dennis gets punched in the face by a player, Charlie misses everything waiting in line, Dee's ticket ended up being a fake.
I was smiling ear to ear that the game I grew up with was finally back - small ball, strategy, stealing bases. I was watching that pitch clock just like I would in an NFL game pre-snap. I honestly can't properly express how much it means to me to be this interested again. MLB, bravo - you've regained a fan to a huge degree, and I suspect many others feel the same
Truly back to adding more wacky things to experience at the ball park and with the addition of the bird bath I cant wait to see how else teams get the fans involved.
Its crazy that the dugout celebrations are allowed but when the dodgers had the bubble machine a few years back the league was not having it and banned it
Tatis dancing to “he’s on steroids “ is golden 🤣🤣🤣 how can you hate that guy 😂
I mean the reason they're changing is why
But also that's probably the best possible way to react to it have fun with it
Pretty flashy and arrogant… I could see how he’s hated
It's easily.

As a Mets fan, I learned the hard way that the richest teams don’t buy you the best teams
Yup. In 1998, my Orioles had the highest payroll in the MLB. They ended up in fourth place, with a 79-83 record.
If it was spent smarter then maybe. They didn't improve the lineup at all. Which isn't even the biggest problem with the team. It's rough.
We all learned that in the 90s
Went to the A's mothers day game and had a really good time, even though they blew up in the 7th and lost. Had never been to the Colliseum and it was cool to see the history with my Mom
It was better before. You are over a decade late on when the games there were awesome. Before Mount Davis there were metal bleachers in the outfield seating area. Fans would stomp them and that place got rocking. If you can find Geronimo Berroa at bat videos you can get an idea of that.
Am I the only one that got SOOO exited seeing Baseball Doesnt Exist posted.
Our dugout celebration is such a hit that one of the sections turned into a "bird bath" section where fans get sprinkled with water when the players do.
The stat about the lack of wins by A's starters hits different when you're a Royals fan and know that after those 33 games without a win, Oakland starters picked up wins against KC in games 34 and 35. :(
Not gonna lie, that hotdogs Segment had me rolling with laughter 🤣
Welcome to the new era of baseball and I love it❤
Same. ❤️
🇧🇷⚾️ That's why i baseball is spectacular. I wish we could have this culture here, instead just soccer an soccer and soccer. Congrats buddy. The video, the resume, the edition was simply perfect! Baseball é apaixonante demais. Vamos Braves! ⚾️🇧🇷
As a O's fan this season has been great so far. Still riding high of taking the series from the Rays.
Mid-way through July, the Rays and Orioles are battling for first in the division.
The Pirates meanwhile are in dead last in theirs.
for a casual fan that doesn't watch much, this video is pure 🔥
😆
Yesss
Videos like this is why as an adult in went from never watching sports to actually semi following and being a fan of some without me having to feel dumb for learning it.
Honestly, what a great time to be a baseball fan.
Blue Jays set a new season record, over 59,000 hot dogs sold at the game tonight, they have a giant scoreboard that keeps track lol
Edit: jays just tweeted the actual number - 61,111 hotdogs sold
Baseball is the only sport that you can see one team blow out another by 10 points, and the following night not touch home plate once😂
Dollar Dog Night out here saving lives. Needs to be a tradition in every ball park.
As an Angel's fan and Cardinals fan, this year is very confusing
at least the cards started to get their shit together last week - hopefully things keep looking up
@@ericmiao1444 Thats very true. No one is suffering quite like the A's and white Sox fandoms
@@TheLastPrime38 yup i am suffering badly but i feel like its much worse for us white sox fans because we are actually expected to compete and be a contender unlike the A's
As an A’s fan, can we trade?
@@chicagoakland would you like to join the other A team, or change letters
It started with the Jays homerun jacket and the influence has spread across the league. I love it
The Jays are no longer doing the home run jacket, but at least other teams are upholding their variations of the celebration.
I’m pretty sure it started in college football with the Ball Out Belt at Alabama, then copied by a lot of other CFP programs. Other sports have taken notice though.
What shocking is the Dbacks being competitive to the dodgers in the NL West
Baseball is a circus now. Like literally a circus. There's costumes, dances, childish horseplay, cringe all over...an excellent representation of where we are as a whole in society.
@breadandcircuses8127 Weird reply. Have another...
Five short years ago I was a season ticket holder. Today I don't watch any baseball at all. Such a shame what they've done to the game.
Why?
I have watched the Os my entire life and refused to leave them behind even when they were considered the worst team in the entirety of sports in 2018. Seeing them do well genuinely brings me joy and I will always be a Baltimore orioles fan. (If they move to Tennessee they gave up on me not the other way around but doubtful it will happen)
I’ve always kind of paid attention to baseball, but this year has made me actually fall in love with the sport. I’m so grateful for the rule changes which made the sport fun and exciting to watch again.
You know it’s a good day when we get an upload from the goat himself

I lost it when the possum was running along the wall and all the heads turned to look at the same time at 9:12 😂😂😂
I don't watch baseball and this is the fifth video I'm watching from this channel. Top tier quality content.
This has been one of the best, most entertaining seasons in a long time!
Dollar dog night cancer guy was surprisingly really wholesome. Prayers to the family
As a Mariners fan, thanks for only mentioning us once. 🎉😂
I am a Canadian who made the Mariners my fav team after learning their history. I dont care to watch baseball on TV but I love that the mariners exist against all odds still and its just like a team for the love the game 😭
My brother in law cant understand how I choose them over the only Canadian team 😂
But dang. Just the fact the Mariners still exist and in Seattle still makes me irrationally happy
That hot dog story might be the most interesting and best thing I have heard so far this year lmao.
I can confirm Dollar Dog Night in Philly is always epic.
Have no idea what this baseball thing is. It obviously doesn’t exist
This is my favorite baseball channel on RUclips. You put together quality videos every couple of weeks now it seems and they're always something original. You and Foolish Baseball are the best content creators when it comes to this sport. There are others I like, but you two I love. Keep it up. This season has been insane. Just glad my Red Sox are managing to hang in there due to their offense. We'll see how it all goes in the coming months. Thank you.
Great video!! This season has been crazy so far and it’s only the middle of May. Can’t wait to watch the wild pennant races later in the season.
3:12 that was Rendon’s best swing all year
I was at the Phillies first dollar dog night and actually missed the first 3 innings waiting in line for a dog
Crazy that the cards started coming back recently. No clue what happened, but Contreras is back in and they look better than ever.
I get unnecessarily excited when I see him post 😂
Hmmm seems strange that Bryce Harper defies most medical recovery times by half the time most of the time. Let's see, is it more likely that he's just tougher and has a healing rate that's cuts the recovery time by half? Or... Just maybe... He uses certain types of supplements, that have been scientificly proven to have this kind of effect? Ill take my chances on performance enhancing.
The manscaped add had me cracked up bro
Don’t wanna have your bush looking like wriggly field 😂😂
I was at that Phillies game and the started the wave that went around the bank 3 times and ended in a hot dog food fight
Honestly, I gotta respect the lower payroll teams massively, and as a Yankees fan it makes me so confused wtf we’re doing with all our money😂 An orioles jersey is looking all the more tempting to buy…great video!
Jesus loves you!
🤡
It's quite simple. The Yankees win every year. They don't play pathetically and lose miserably for 3-7 years just so they can get cheap top draft picks every year. The Yankees have to buy their players and draft very scrupulously since they make the playoffs every single year. The Yanks drafted Judge and Garrett Cole, for example. They also drafted Jeter, Volpe, Severino, Bernie, Posada, Mattingly, etc.
I want longer games. I loved just hanging out with 40k people for 4 hours.
As an Orioles fan, I am happy for once :)
43,000 person food fight. God I love America.
This is one of if not the best sports channels on RUclips. The quality of the videos are so in depth and detailed. Keep up the work.
It really is amazing the work that’s put into them
If I ever hear the phrase "dollar dog night" again I might jump out a window
The 2023 season has made zero sense because baseball doesn't exist
This year is insane
The new rule changes couldnt have came at a better time. With the World Baseball Classic being so good and popular. It's geeat for baseball. Love it
Listen, I'm a Phillies fan, 43000 people in attendance, pppp, thats nothing. Try 75000 PEOPLE IN A NLCS GAME
Oakland A's fan here. I'm so hurt by all of this.
As a lifelong Orioles fan (wasn’t alive to see the 1983 World Series), this season feels absolutely surreal. Second-lowest payroll in MLB, and my O’s have never played better. 30+ years of waiting looks like it might finally pay off. I just hope they keep that momentum after the ASB.
30 years … you’re a casual ass fan .. they went to back to back ALCS’s in 96 and 1997 (had the best record in the majors in 1997) 2012-2016 they had more wins than any other AL team including 3 playoff appearances… i was alive when they last won their world championship in 1983 … stop the cap with the 30 year BS …
Love or hate tatis but we need a player like him again. The entertainment keeps the game alive
Great video. Would love to see one on the worst contracts in baseball history…(Chris Davis contract still hurts my brain today)
Philly dollar dog nights are insane
