I don't understand why people think he would spend all this time and effort on this just to get sued by Capcom. Obviously he has permission to use the characters
He mentions multiple times this is directly coordinated with capcom...obviously, or he would be sued. All the miniatures and artwork must be approved. Watch the video of him at PAX. He goes into detail about the process, but that's not an Angry Review so no one watches it.
This is so amazing im proud of joe!!! I appreciate this preview as it solidifies expectations for whats to come. Transparency is what truelly builds value. 10/10!!

I don't play table top games (been at least 10 years since I've played D&D), and I've never been a fan of the street fighter games, but have liked the franchise in that of character lore and anime. You have definitely sold me on this, and I hope I have time to make a pledge before it's released. You guys made this seem so fun, and as always, Alex is my guy, fucking hilarious lol. Love y'all
I'm new to this channel, but seeing this game and your love for this project is just great to see. Congrats!!!!

This was surprisingly enjoyable. Looking forward to great things from you, Joe. I love board games and card games in general, but this might be the first miniatures that I actually get into! Sweet.
Joe im so happy for you and the guys man, i grew up like u playing video games and loving gaming culture, even tough table games were rare in my house i enjoy this so much, i grew up and like most went to school got a job got married and it has been great but u made your livelyhood the passion that most of us had growing up loving games and many other things, so for that u have my sincere admiration and respect. i wish for your success and that this game its a hit Lovve from Venezuela keep at it joe
I don't know what it is about your presentation style, but I always feel like I'm hearing a real person in your videos. I got less of an ad vibe and more of a hang out at a friends while they show the game they're developing to me and how it works. In the worst way to see it I suppose you could think of it as amateurish, but really I just find it more authentic and, of course, makes me more trusting in your ability as well as your passion for games. You seem to enjoy stretch goal ideas as much as your patrons like getting them. I'm glad to see you're having fun with the kickstarter setup as well. You deserve this buddy. Also, I don't know when/if you ever could, but I'd be super psyched to put money down for a soul caliber version!
Game looks boring in this early state and has gone through many changes since then (this video is 2+ years old my guy) game isn't going to release ANY time soon 🤑🤑🤑
I'm happy that you have such an enthusiastic feel when you are presenting it to us. Been waiting for you to come up with something that your fans love. And this. This is it. Superb. Keep it up joe.
This type of game is so versatile I can evisage it stemming across all kinds of fighting games and even games of other genres. I would really like to see the Angry Joe Army make a Tekken and Soul Calibur version of this. The Street Fighter miniatures look gorgeous and I have to admire how well made this game is solely based on what I've seen thus far. Thanks Joe. Wishing you and everyone in your team success with this game and future additions and future games to come. All the best guys! Edit: A Final Fantasy Dissidia Version with 3D terrain would be awesome.
Street Fighter, Dragonball Z and Mortal Kombat are the confirmed official franchises so far. Players could always homebrew other ones though. Once they get an online community for this game going, it's going to turn into Dungeons & Dragons meets MUGEN!
This looks so amazingly sweet :D I don't have too many friends fans of board games but they may change their minds once they see this :D Wishing you get to fulfill the BEST Street Fighter TMG possible!
I think the game will have a slight advantage to the person starting first like most other games where no special rules given to the person starting second. Games that comes in mind are Risk, Stratego and Chess that all advantage the starting player. In multiplayer, the order of players might have to reverse on each turn (first player to start is the last to play on round 2).
care to explain how the first player has no advantage over the second one as they get the first move and can burn the other players cards for defensive moves. Player 1 starts and does 2 attacks out of 5 cards, player 2 wastes 2 cards for defense with high chance of getting damaged. Player 2 starts with 5 cards after the draw instead of 7. OK, so what if they only blocked, well there's cards against that, but still the attacker always has the advantage of damage. Player 2 always has a disadvantage. Heck, Hearthstone goes well beyond the extra card for player 2 (such as MTG where player 1 doesn't draw) by giving them a "one time use mana coin". Both given to second player and analytics still favor the player going first by up to 1% (it was 1.3% advantage back in 2013). I think they need to start doing analytics on who wins most of the time when starting in 1v1 and multiplayer. Here's a few suggestions of what can be done: Each player position after the first player gets one time 1D defensive that they can use at anytime (which they cannot stack). For example in multiplayer, the player going 5th will have 4 one time 1D defense that they can use. I think this would be the best as defensive dice have the least impact on the game. If accumulating meter would be too powerful this way, then count the meters as a defense. Each player position after the first player gets one time decision to replace meters for defensive that they can use at anytime (which they cannot stack). For example in multiplayer, the player going 5th can activate up to 4 times the switch of meters to defensive. Player 2 draws a card, player 3 and beyond draw 2 cards, and the last player draws 3 cards. Multiplayer, all players draw until they have 5 cards on their first turn (may only disadvantage the first player). 1v1: Player 2 draws 1 card.
There is no advantage to going second that couldn't be had (but better) by going first. Let's consider the worst possible use of a first turn: doing absolutely nothing. Choose to go second: Opposing player takes his first turn with no draw phase, you take your first turn with no draw phase. Choose to go first and do absolutely nothing: Do nothing, opposing player takes his first turn with no draw phase, you take your first turn WITH a draw phase. If going second is even worse than going first and doing absolutely nothing on the first turn, that is a glaring case of first-turn advantage. When faced with the decision of going first or second, going second is worse in every single case.
Joe i saw your Q&A stream and one of the questions was about translation. An easy way to get around the language barrier is to section off card effects and properties, give them generic icons, and create a legend for them in the translated manual. That way you can convey what a card is and does from a grouping of icons in some of the dead space at a glance. You can even have a broad legend inside the manual and a more character specific one for unique abilities. Just something to consider
I'm rounding up more 💰 to buy everything. So stoked for this, but more so I'm stoked too see a hardworking dreamer make it. All praise to you. You nailed SF better than Capcom.
crowdsourcing is not dead...im glad that you got this done joe....i have watched this since you announced this and i am glad this actually happened...congrats....sincerely...
I'm working on a custom deck! Gonna have fun expanding the roster... Gene first of all. Then Azel, Elvis, Shannon, Dante, Vergil, Lady, Bayo... Just have to use placeholder sculpts but it'll be fun as hell!
Really wish I got into the board game hobby to be able to back this. It looks Amazing. Hope I'll be able to get my hands on this at some point. Looks great.
As a dice player (Board games, Warhammer, DnD) I prefer: A) Spare dice (minimally) B) Ability to buy more dice (preferably) C) More sets of dice included in expansions *D) Metal dice
It looks really cool, one thing I noticed and it could be a good detail is that in the board the art of the destructibles should be the thing destroyed because you have the figure for when its not destroyed so it gives like that feeling that the field is changing. Just a thought.
Shag - 504 mine is Yun, I've always loved characters that fought with Kung Fu while wearing that outfit. I really hope he makes the cast through streach goals
Game looks fun but I think there’s just a little bit much going on with a lot of the miniatures, it’s hard to tell what’s going on sometimes, and that’s coming from someone who has played all the Street Fighter games since I was kid. Either way, good job, and I can tell how passionate you are about this which is great!
Joe, just wanted to say I seriously respect you cutting ties with Channel Awesome. I've been a fan of yours for years now and I'm happy to follow and support you. You and your crew deserve all the credit and revenue. Good on you. Long live Angry Joe Show!
Did you know that Kens Hurricane kick can hit the opponent 6-7 times if standing on top of the knocked down player and timing the attack just when they get back up. I call it eye of the hurricane
Im not a street fighter fan, but this looks so cool and funn! if you can get a non streetfighter to wanna play the game, you have done something right!
i have a suggestion for the DBZ version, with counters where you both play the same type of attack, instead of it canceling the attack there should be an additional roll to decide whos attack is stronger and capitalize on the struggle battles in the anime where they try and push their opponents ki blast back at them or who wins the melee struggles etc. and the melee struggles could even have a throw at the end of them for the winner. and please have all the ssj versions of characters. they could use the same decks as the regular versions and just be for aesthetics. the only ones that would need separate decks would probably be the fusions, super vegita and super trucks, ssj4 goku/vegita, and ssj god goku and ssj blue goku/vegita. and dont forget to make majin vegita and ssj2 vegita different character models. powering up could have a risk/reward style where you deal bonus damage but also take more damage. it could cost some of your meter also and take up one of their super attacks. my dream roster: (different forms in the same row would use the same deck as the regular but have different character models for aesthetics.) Mr. Rainwater I completely agree. Mr. Vargas, your game is the reason I started playing hobby board games and Mr. Smith's "How to Play" videos have been very helpful in learning and teaching many games. Thank you.
This looks really awesome although I have never really followed street fighter, not because I don't like it but more because I played other fighters and other games and never got around to it. I hope this does really well cause it looks amazing, I can't wait for the mortal kombat one though I will buy it no doubt if it has as much energy and dedication put into as this project. Like I said looks amazing I hope all enjoy.
Manbat 116 hell yeah, even if I didn't get to pull it out often I'd still be able to have all the miniatures which would probably cost loads of you bought them as a statue
Joe i just bought your board game. The most expensive version. 480 in Australia, jesus christ. You better love me. I better love this game. My god i hope DBZ version comes aswell. Love you Joe.
I think that the character cards should be MUCH bigger than the regular cards. Like if they have abilities and traits and a small bio, they should be like a plaque almost. I think thats be awesome
Not to be super picky on the Guile tats but the flag on his right shoulder needs to be flipped so that he's not retreating. It's a real military thing if you care to fix it. Sorry if this seems negative and nit picky.
I subbed to your channel solely for the Angry reviews, i have no interest in the street fighter games or Tv show if there is one, but i have to say i'm blown away, this is incredible joe what an amazing quality game
Down the road you could make a stand with a Raspberry Pi or Arudino, a couple RFID readers, a micro sd read, battery pack and speaker's. Add RFID tags to the cards and pieces to play soundbites. You could make them taught each other when they get close and play sounds corresponding to the cards played. It would be easy to program and you can load each game could autorun off a micro sd card. The hardest part would be negotiating the licensing but you already know that.
Have you checked the manufacturability of these figures. I'm looking at them, trying to figure out mold splits. Some of it may be impossible as a single piece, you will need to glue some pieces together.
things id like to see added would be quotes from the game put on the cards like at the bottom in small writing so you can read it if you want and a lorebook to be sold with the game. things that would make it more collector friendly. and i cant wait til you start on the DBZ version of the game, this game is looking sick so far.
dude, i was a little skeptic about this game...but after watching this play test, omg, this game looks awesome!!! is Street Fighter The Miniature Game going to be available in stores or online only?
I don't understand why people think he would spend all this time and effort on this just to get sued by Capcom. Obviously he has permission to use the characters
He paid to use the licence... he just needs them to approve some of the figures
yeah and you know Capcom is getting there cut. I am sure it not cheap.
Last time we saw that $$$ it was at 400,000 :d
His kickstarter is at $900,000 and it's only been a week.
He mentions multiple times this is directly coordinated with capcom...obviously, or he would be sued. All the miniatures and artwork must be approved. Watch the video of him at PAX. He goes into detail about the process, but that's not an Angry Review so no one watches it.
Next thing you know, joe would be creating his own video game
Pizzathehutt XD right !
that's actually much easier all things considered, for a team this size especially.
I doubt he is smart enough of to do that, but if he got someone to do it for him then yeah
Im guessing a zombie game would be out?
Since when games have to be perfect to be enjoyable ?
I respect the idea Joe, but your lack of micro transactions and loot boxes is a real turn off. 0 out of 5
I played this game and it was finished in FOUR HOURS!

You poor fool! You've fallen for one of the great blunders!.. game is never going to release
Opinion Alert: I think the board should have hexagonal squares it would just make it easier for diagonally movement and attacks.
Would have to be an octagon.
Joe please upload more games of this! Watching this made me go from uninterested to backed! This looks like so much fun!
Joe i buy your game today (ultimate edition) glad to be apart of your dream. Good job

I don't play a lot of street fighter but this looked fun and I will buy it to support you joe
awesome board game joe, congratulations man, i can't wait for other themes just like Dragonball, DC and Marvel.
Not a board game player or even really a street fighter guy but this was actually pretty fun to watch! Well done to you and your team
Look at the details in this game! "That look good!"
not bad! I like how its not too complicated so I can teach my friends/family/and maybe even co-workers.
this is interesting. I would buy it just to support you joe. I might even buy two. great innovation. I have never seen anything like this
PLEASE have Rodney Smith do a "how to play" tutorial video.
Mr.
Use a Hexagon pattern board. Perfect for multiplayer board games :)
This game looks awesome! i hope to obtain it and review it by the end of the year
can't wait for the DBZ one!
Manbat 116 hell yeah, even if I didn't get to pull it out often I'd still be able to have all the miniatures which would probably cost loads of you bought them as a statue
Me too
He said he would do DBZ or that's wishful thinking?
steven mortal kombat and DBZ will be added if this is successful
Nice, will have to check out the DBZ one
Joe i just bought your board game. The most expensive version. 480 in Australia, jesus christ. You better love me. I better love this game. My god i hope DBZ version comes aswell. Love you Joe.
Are they planning a DBZ version?? OMG my wallet is already sore from buying everything for this game!
I think that the character cards should be MUCH bigger than the regular cards. Like if they have abilities and traits and a small bio, they should be like a plaque almost. I think thats be awesome
I usually don’t play board games but this has my attention a lot especially the figures
Not to be super picky on the Guile tats but the flag on his right shoulder needs to be flipped so that he's not retreating. It's a real military thing if you care to fix it. Sorry if this seems negative and nit picky.
Other than that it looks awesome

Al Bundy again your wrong and you don't need to be angry about it. Just get some education on it.
Looks awesome! Keep up the great work team!
Just a little more til we unlock Violent Ken! Come on lets get some more pledges on kickstarter!
looks great guys! keen to see how it turns out :D
Joe I’m so happy for you!
Word cool to see you made your goal!!!
Well done man hope you have more ideas for board game later down the road,
👍
AJ, you have to play this game with board james pls.
Thanks for the long video! Perhaps a camera focused down so we can get a little clearer picture(like a scanner).
Nopt much of a board gamer but GL with the project Joe looks like an extensive game.
You did forget to add loot boxes btw lol.
Alright fun time Alex!! I hope his enthusiasm doesn’t go too crazy
Have you checked the manufacturability of these figures. I'm looking at them, trying to figure out mold splits. Some of it may be impossible as a single piece, you will need to glue some pieces together.
They are 3D-printed. Or at least the parts are. Plastic molds would be too expensive.
Call upon the spirit of Joe, OJ. You are Chun-Li and therefore cannot lose...
Ay angryjoe love yo shit been watching since 2013 boi ,🔥🔥💙💙
Harlemz shake is skipping grammar class since forever boi!
I love the art dude!
things id like to see added would be quotes from the game put on the cards like at the bottom in small writing so you can read it if you want and a lorebook to be sold with the game. things that would make it more collector friendly. and i cant wait til you start on the DBZ version of the game, this game is looking sick so far.
dude, i was a little skeptic about this game...but after watching this play test, omg, this game looks awesome!!! is Street Fighter The Miniature Game going to be available in stores or online only?
Kickstarter only for now.
Admittedly I've never played the Street Fighter game but...I LOVE the movie!
"You've made me a very happy man!"
"Now I make you a dead one!"
