Incredible how in terms of Bosses, *New Super Mario Bros DS* is much more varied (which has a different boss at each castle), while in its sequels there are always and only Koopalings as bosses. We see that Nintendo did not want to indulge in new ideas and preferred to recycle the same bosses 3 times.
At least in New Super Mario Bros. Wii it was fine, since it hadn't been done in the New Super Mario Bros. series yet. After NSMBWii though, it got really boring.

In World 6-Castle, Monty Tank appears on the battle which is outside the castle behind the rocky mountains and the howling wind is heard from the ambience. Also in World 7-Castle, Lakithunder appears outside the castle same like World 6-Castle with a cloudy sky view. He cap zap Mario with lightning bolts and throw Spiny Eggs at him.
