You could copy paste my attempt in the game. It helps to have as much star mist that you can get too. I do believe Shir can steal it from some places at high levels.
Shir can steal Star Mist and Moon Dew at any level. All you have to do is go in and out of the item shop in Paseo. Once you see the "What, Shir is gone," just go back to the house and see what she stole. I used to rack up Star Mists and Moon Dews (this takes awhile) until it was much easier to win the final battles.
Mother Brain was an AI that controlled the climate, biosystem and life support functions of the Algol star system. Controlled by the survivors of the human race, nearly destroyed by Dark Force, Mother Brain began to go crazy, shutting down. Rolf and his party, branded as terrorists, realized all they could do was bring down Mother Brain. Defeating her, Rolf learns of the human race's plot, and decides on self sacrifice rather than let Algol become slaves. As he says at the end: I wonder what the people will see in the final days.
Sorry, my engl. is bad! But by the way... you can use it(Neifirst).... she dies... Use it in action (jp modul + mega drive, jp version) by several char. , she appears at the end of the game, make the Group complett... one new picture with a big statement ... see it, or lose it. I think, it is a must have. Phantasy Star One.... with all items and high LV, is although a "must have".... but only on master system. The copy on MD, is fuxxxx....!
torers He's talking about the Japanese only enhanced version where Nei can survive. But it appears the reading & writing part of his brain decided to take a vacation.
+Kyizen I used Rolf, Rudo, Amy, and Kain as my team in the past. General consensus is Rolf, Rudo, Amy, and whomever, as none of the last four characters really help all that much: Hugh: SAVOL everything that's not a machine. Not a whole lot of help against Dark Force/Mother Brain, though. Kain: Useless against anything that's not a machine, but it's a good thing NAGAJ works on Dark Force/Mother Brain. Anna: Pretty much another fighter. Toss slicer until DF/MB dies. Shir: Now here's someone that doesn't get used often in the final battle. She gets NAGRA, but it's pretty damn expensive to use against bosses.
It's not the kind of music that gets you pumped for the fight, however, I think it fits the tone. When you fight Neifirst, you've either lost Nei or will lose her. When you fight the Army Eye's, they will capture you and Palma will soon blow up. When you fight Dark Force and Mother Brain, they have already done an extreme damage and it will continue long past their destruction. Without Mother Brain, it's very likely that civilization will collapse and over 90% of the population will collapse. Heck, look at how much the technology level has regressed in Phantasy Star IV, I have a hard time imagine technology can regress that much without killing of the majority of the population. You are basically causing huge tragedies in order to prevent even bigger tragedies. With that in mind, I think the music fits.
Luke200 IMO it would be Rolf, Rudo, Kain, and either Anna or Shir. Whichever you prefer since you really just need them for thier speed. I prefer Shir due to her usually being faster in my experience but Anna works just as well. The reason you want a fast person is to use the snow crown for deban. That helps and boosting agility with an item, one of the scarfs...forgot which one. Let Rolf, Rudo, and Kain deal damage. Shir can use the spare storm gear for damage as well. All just imo mind you.
I really feel like phantasy star 1-3 could be remade in the ps4 engine for simplicity sake. The first 3 games were flying by the seat of their pants, but with number 4 the story got really flushed out. You could include Rykros in the first 2 games, for example. Ditch all the 'earthmen' crap in this game, it would make way more sense to just have dark force be the reason mother brain went crazy. PS3 mostly stay the same, but maybe have them accidentally come back to algol due to dark force interference so it can still damage the profound seal. Just spitballing some ideas.
It also makes more sense lore wise, since darkforce corrupted the AI's in the ship and Seren in PS3 and with the satalight in PS4 Darkforce has a long history of corrupting AI's. I might go the other way with PS3 dark force. The opposite it wants to get as far away from algo as possible and wait. be the first darkforce to escape and rebuild (or rebecome the new PD or take up fight against the great light itself as the only escaped one. (it would also add some interesting elements if one of the enddings from PS3 was this very thing and its cannon explanation for why so many darkforces were in ps4 as the one from ps3 was never defeated giving the seal a secondary hole when the next 1000 years passes. Reguardless I just want PS5 :)

@@TheBmills415 I don't think it sucked at all
i could never beat the final boss no matter how much experience I got or anything I did.
You could copy paste my attempt in the game. It helps to have as much star mist that you can get too. I do believe Shir can steal it from some places at high levels.
Dark Force is the hardest boss in all of the series. You just have to keep on playing B until you beat him. Mother Brain is nothing.
Odin? Rudo!
Yes.
An Odin who's actually the beefiest.
Rolf LV 35 get Magid !
Im confused.. what the Balls happend
In what regard?
Mother Brain was an AI that controlled the climate, biosystem and life support functions of the Algol star system. Controlled by the survivors of the human race, nearly destroyed by Dark Force, Mother Brain began to go crazy, shutting down. Rolf and his party, branded as terrorists, realized all they could do was bring down Mother Brain. Defeating her, Rolf learns of the human race's plot, and decides on self sacrifice rather than let Algol become slaves.
As he says at the end: I wonder what the people will see in the final days.
It's implied everyone dies at the end...
Nei..... the secret ending is missing .... use Moon Dew by several char..... Try it....
What are you talking about? A Moon Dew has no effect on her after she dies in a cutscene.
Thore Riemann
What even...
torers He's talking about the Japanese only enhanced version where Nei can survive. But it appears the reading & writing part of his brain decided to take a vacation.
@@Cooe._That is putting it lightly, good Lord._ 😵

I love the game deeply! The ending is amazing but there is thing I never understood. If the earthmen want Algo, why do they want to destroy it?
Dark Falz.
It took 3 minutes to beat mother brain... ? Thanks

Console Wars brought me here!
Console Wars?
@@torers - YES!
@@michaelsimpson208 what's that lol
@@torers - "youtube.com/@ConsoleWars" 👈🏿 It's just another channel.
@@michaelsimpson208 They're using my vids there?
Kain and Amy as your team...damn
+Kyizen Huh?
+Kyizen I used Rolf, Rudo, Amy, and Kain as my team in the past. General consensus is Rolf, Rudo, Amy, and whomever, as none of the last four characters really help all that much:
Hugh: SAVOL everything that's not a machine.
Kain is actually useful, as his Techs actually hurt DF/MB. (Especially during a LL/NO Megid Final Battles)
メギド使うと早いな、
Odin )
I always was kinda disappointed that they used the normal battle music for this fight
They didn't
This is the boss theme and it only plays in the fights against Neifirst, Dark Falz, Mother Brain and the Ending
Kinda meme how bad kain is overall but how good on the boss
Am I the only one who finds the boss music very unfitting?
Yes
Blazin Braixen Meh, to each thier own. I love this music.
What's the best team for last boss
Luke200 IMO it would be Rolf, Rudo, Kain, and either Anna or Shir. Whichever you prefer since you really just need them for thier speed. I prefer Shir due to her usually being faster in my experience but Anna works just as well. The reason you want a fast person is to use the snow crown for deban. That helps and boosting agility with an item, one of the scarfs...forgot which one. Let Rolf, Rudo, and Kain deal damage. Shir can use the spare storm gear for damage as well. All just imo mind you.
So Elon Musk made mother brain.
That's one sexy computer. She must be an Apple.
I think she's a SEGA. Gamer Miki would've gone nuts over MB. Like more than the "Glorious" guy.
Yeah, Apple of your eye!
Sadly, I never got to fight Mother Brain. I couldn't get past Dark Force and I didn't have the patience to grind up my levels.
Same here, hadn’t gotten back to it in 30 years. Was able to complete phantasy star iv but never came back to finish ps ii……
@@mastrblastrr I just FINALLY did it today! As a child, I couldn’t even get to the dams, I got stuck in Climacontrol. I didn’t have the maps and there was no internet with all of them available.
Phantasy Star will never get a new game, the franchise was murdered after 4 and resurrected as a broken husk in psuedo-mmo form.
I wouldn't call it murder. It's definitely very different, but murder is a bit much.
@@torers*Is "burned to a crisp in a stake" a more fitting analogy?*
@@MrDibara Nope.
It looks like fantasy stat 2 and 4 was good it was just the first and the third was trash
Heck no, Phantasy Star 1 and 3 were great too, especially 1.
@@torers My bad I was only judging by the fact that ps2 and 4 attack animation I do better
Dude it's that type of action that kills the imagination, I wasn’t even typing that boss ending, & booom look at that, major spoiler alert there DONT YOU THINK?!?! sure it's old, but These Old Games have more imagination than most new ones, & although nothing wrong with a video on beating the boss, why reveal it on the cover. just wanting to Get 2 The Point" or SEE the main boss already is one thing but revealing the boss on your cover like that ruins imaginations for kids of today that would like to enjoy this work of art for themselves without the use of google or cheat codes, & figure it out on there own just as we once did. CAN THAT NOT EXIST ANTMORE?!?! so let's just spoiler alert anyone trying to figure it out on there own! No regard of the children's imagination just YOUR OWN,.. it’s not right as a true gamer.
What
@@torers just saying man, some of us like to see the final boss for ourselves, it didn’t HAVE to be on the Main cover of this video, it’s ok to do it but c’mon, & you understood man, it’s whatever though dude , just future reference now I guess
@@norbertovalle7928 I uploaded this almost 11 years ago and the game came out in 89. Bit late on both accounts. Maybe don't go searching for it? Lol
@@torers dude I literally told you i didn’t even search for it! You know very well that you ain’t gotta search for things of your interest or similar to pop out, that shit will just recommend. Most disappointing vudeo game ending I can remember. Amazing game though.
+Justin D. Cotton Ah really? I thought the end was amazing..
It fit the grim tone of the whole game so well.
+Blinge I agree. The ending quote is almost philosophical.
+Blinge so what happened in the end did our party kill all the earthlings
Yes. They wiped them out. Humanity officially dies by the end.

Bear in mind, I've just started PSIV so no spoilers pls!
What a waste of time this game ended up being.
you mean because of the sad/bad ending?
