Monday's INSANE live stream: 10 secs per round, no moving, scrolling, zooming, diverse world #3

- Simply had to upload this. After a few poor attempts and with 5 minutes left of playing until the end of the stream, this game happened. There were some favourable rounds, but boy did I capitalise.

I’ve been looking forward to part 3 for the last week! These Geoguessr are nice distractions though.
SUNDAY?!?!?! FML
@Benjamin McCann where? Sorry I don't see the option.
Geowizard: sees fence
“ah this is britain”
Also Geowizard: sees the Pentagon
“This is Tulsa”
LOL I said out loud "NOOOO that's the pentagon! Washington D.C.!"
he could instantly tell from the look of that dour industrial estate and grey sky that it was britain. nowhere in the world like it
@@vidiia trust meee

It's almost like people can recognize their own country better than other countries, insane right?
Sees a picture that is basically entirely grey
"That's definitely Britain"
Can't argue with that
Quite depressing but real 😂
When 'Fifty Shades of Grey' came out I thought it was a book about Yorkshire.
Is it depressing to live in Britain? I love the sunny, warm United States. I don't know if I could handle having so little sunshine. I suffer from intense depression and anxiety already.
@@dawn-blade When it is warm, I appreciate it a lot more
@@dawn-blade depends where, some of it is nice, most of it is crap. A lot of us do get bad seasonal depression though, we don't get much daylight in the winter
This is a guy the U.S government would definitely hire to identify locations. Can track a random photo of anywhere in the world to a couple dozen miles...but has no idea where the pentagon is...
That’s what he wants us to think
He could be one of those people on FBI/CIA search teams that chase down rogue assets
Next on Buzzfeed: CIA Image Analysis Agents play GeoGuessr
Turns out The Pentagon was hiring those talents LOL
Lol then he couldn’t find his way to work! Lol
The picture: literally GRASS with a truck in the background.
This dude: gOtTa gO poLAnD
As a Polish person, it does look a bit like rural Poland. And Ukraine ain't got that type of motorway
@@therealdave06 every rural zone in the world looks like that
@@starman6468 Not really, because every region has it's own slight flavour, and a good geoguessr player like Tom recognises them. For example, it looks very European (it's definitely not the US or Australia), it's very flat (which rules out a lot of countries like Austria, Switzerland or Slovakia), it's not the British Isles or France because there's not a lot of hedgerows and lush greenery, it's not Germany because there's no road barriers, and the landscape doesn't look like Germany. Southern Europe and Scandinavia have different climates, landscapes and soils, so this looks very central-eastern European. Since we ruled out Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria and Switzerland earlier, I myself would've guessed Poland, Ukraine, western Russia, Hungary or the Baltics. Poland is a gateway between east and west and there are a lot of trucks on our motorways, so I would've picked Poland, just like Tom did.
It's this minor attention to detail that makes a good geoguessr player
@@therealdave06 Here in Panama traveling to the countryside i've seen that exact same road, but I guess you're right
As soon as the picture popped up, i was like "that has to be poland"
Geowizard: Sees a fence
Also Geowizard: That is definitely Britain
I think it was mostly the weather that did it haha
If you've lived in the UK that fencing (the spikes and shape) is very unique to the country. Plus the industrial depression and you've got northern England.
It just is
Geowizard: Sees a fence
Also Geowizard: Guess i'll jump over it 🤷
@@TPH250290 Absolutely everyone, with maybe except Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Those are typical houses from lower Engadine (I'm Swiss and I know that area quite well, that's why I recognised it) so this would've probably been the only time I would've gotten a better score than him. But good job for an Englishman to at least recognise the canton in 10 seconds.
I live in Switzerland and immediately recognized that was in Switzerland. It even crossed my mind which Canton it was too. The building style is very distinct
i‘ve never seen houses like this anywhere else sooo
it was pretty obviously switzerland to me too. I live in munich but the architecture is very distinct
If u are from europe you know that is either north italy or switzerland. Cos the houses have very typical style
I mean, even with luck, you need to be quite knowledgeable to give educated guesses for a lot of these.
Yeah, Bangladesh was an easy one but the guesses for Britain and the US were nothing short of magic.
A lot of knowledge. I mean there’s over 200 countries in the world, so just the idea that you could have 200 options (a majority of which people probably couldn’t name by memory) for a given round makes it difficult.
@@malte291 Yeah those two were the keys. The Jordan one was the easiest.
@@joshjones Actually there aren't all the countries in Geoguessr. It depends on what places have street view.
BarraBaja_14 oh yeah idk why I forgot about that. Still though, there’s like a good third of the world to explore. I’ve tried to play the US version as a US native and I still barely get in the right states.
How about doing geoguessr with eyetracker so we can see what you look at to give you the clues and what not
Edit: im not saying this cos i think hes a bullshitter, cos hes not, im just curious about what kinda stuff he looks at and how fast his eyes move etc
this is such a good idea :O
I second this
I third this lmao he’s such a bullshitter it’s hilarious
Yeah but it's also a matter of athmosphere you know
azert poiu yeah i even guessed a few just from the look and i guess the aesthetic of the landscape
I'm not gonna lie. I saw the Pentagon and literally said "Omg I've been there in Oklahoma." And he zoomed in on Tulsa, and I was like "YES YES" and, it was the fricking Pentagon wtf. I cannot judge
-Driving on the right. I've got to go Poland.
Lol
@TheReelDean You can tell by the truck that this is not the US. They driver cabs look different there ;)

Even less for that latitude if he used the sun as guide and the road quality as country development.
The image just screamed Eastern European roads
Lol, i've just momentarily thought that this was Ukraine, idk why, maybe because i live there

Haha me too neighbour!

Same, I live in adelaide and thought south Botswana
I live in Alaska and thought it was South Australia 🤷♂️ Lucky guess
I have a video idea: try to get the highest points per second you can. You can move and everything, so you just have to decide how much time you want to spend with each one to maximize "efficiency."
Huh, I think this is a bit pointless since the score would be divided severely even if you get a perfect guess. Dunno, better need to try first
a similar game ive seen on youtube before is something along the lines of "how many points can you get in 10/15/20 mins - so you have to decide whether you want to be accurate or be quick and get as many games in as possible
but how would points be weighted per second. how would one determine a winner/record?
what you could have is within 10/15 seconds there would be no penalty but every second/five seconds afterwards x amount of points is subtracted from your score so that way it is not as blunt as per second which would favor guessing right away
Points / Seconds
The getting up and getting a beer strat came in clutch
Easily the coolest channel i've come across. Cant wait for all future content, projects etc
this guy is an amazing example of how the human brain can learn patterns precisely. Extraordinary!
2:08 you can see the stripes on the pole in the right. those are always Taiwan!
Is that it? I lived in Taiwan for about 6 months and that just screamed Taiwan to me even though there was mostly just some foliage to go off lol
And that abandoned-looking cottage made out of metal sheets on the right are everywhere in the countryside
Discovered this channel about three days ago and I have been binging all of these geoguessr videos, but I have to say, this format is by far the most entertaining for me. It's so tense!
G
5:25 that was actually insane
How can he even tell India from Bangladesh?
@@ice711real Because most of India isn't even covered. It's mostly always Bangladesh in A Diverse World.
@@ChoiceDK oh yeah I forgot Google didn't cover India
Bangladesh shapes on the tourbuses
It's not that insane like his other guesses. India is not covered in Google maps so it had to be Bangladesh and he just went for the capital
Based on the angle of sunlight thru his skylight, the barn style roof, the horrible accent and his insatiable love of sheep. This stream is in... "Coastal Wales"...
Geowizard: Sees pentagon
"I'm thinking Tulsa"
By the initial looks my reaction was Oklahoma City so near Tulsa
"Did anyone see that?"
Literally a million people.
You know you're a chad when your video is 9 minutes long and you don't try and extend it to 10. Thank you for the amazing content, the world wouldn't be as bright without this channel
I'm pretty sure RUclips changed how the monetization works or the limit or something, I'm not really sure. Anyways, he gets most of his money from twitch. Still tho, you're right .
I feel like we shouldn't blame creators who are simply trying to make a living by putting there videos to 5 minutes and instead blame youtube and it's policies
@@thecrazypenguin2865 It's not yet. From next month it's 8 minutes.
@@ueuuehhh9748 the problem is that by trying to get to the 10 minutes the quality drops, RUclips don't want that
Its mad to see the wheels turning, after a point playing this game its all instinct and prior knowledge stored in your subconcious, which is why he just sees a fence and grey sky and goes "England", or "they're driving on the right side, ive got to go Poland". All of the logic is there but not said

Benjamin Richter - You sick bastard. I like it 😂
Thats literally your best game i've seen in years of watching
5:19 "For maximum points..."
2:42 when the impostor is swiss! 😳
It's crazy how intuition sometimes guides you in the right direction. I had an image with North American looking streets, blurred license plates that had a color scheme I haven't seen on US plates and a TD Bank building. Nothing more to go by. Never been to Canada, but felt like it was Calgary. Put the pin close to the center of Calgary with out further looking for the exact location as it was simply a wild guess. I was 57 yards from the location. Insane.
*sees bush* “oh of course, maylasia without a doubt”
2:25 lol tf i live there :D
Oh nice
What's it like living in such a beautiful country? Lol
@@raimarulightning Its lovely! Nature is stunning, the political system is reasonable, we can drink clean water from every tap or public fountain, the whole country is very clean and the streets are very well maintained. A few drawbacks are that its very expensive to live here and that our culture is very reserved and organised, not as joyful and open-hearted as the mediterranean or latino countries.
@@KrigoelMart I wouldn't mind that as much, but I hope that there is still a sense of community.
@@raimarulightning there is, mostly in the rural parts. In the cities you have your social bubbles but don't even know your neighbours. I don't know if that's normal for other western countries as well

"oh wow that's a good start"
me: screaming from my chair
I’ve just discovered this channel and game (thanks RUclips algorithm) and this is the second video of his I’ve watched. The town in midwest USA (Golconda I think I was) is probably about 60 miles from where I live! I thought that was pretty crazy.
this is the definition of judging a book by its cover
Invest in a great streaming setup (60fps camera, lights, background) and this channel can become even bigger. You got the voice and humor for it
I was screaming at my screen Washington D.C. because of the Pentagon being there.
I for one am happy you still put stuff on youtube. I don't have hours free to watch a stream so these 10/15 minute chunks are great.
whoever cheated off this guy in geography class was one lucky person.
As a Geoguessr streamer, thank you for showing this wonderful game to so many people!
😂😂 "I'm getting a beer"
The confidence haha
YT recommended this for a while. Finally clicked and am not disappointed
"couldn't see any road!" *literally spawned on a road*
Can't tell if it's just the vibe of watching these but I find myself guessing the correct country way more often than I used to based on just a hunch
strong round!
You put me in a street that's five blocks away from my place and I am lost.
And then, there's GeoWizard.
Awesome, that first one of the second try where you just barely got it in time, first time I’ve seen one on here where I’ve actually been there before. Not close to where I live, but it’s on a drive I’ve made multiple times. That was the Thompson highway, and mad that drive from Grande Prairie in Alberta, to Victoria in BC so many times.
This guy: *sees a fence*
Also him: THATS BRITAIN.
please do more of these videos! i'm a new subscriber, never seen anything like this, but i love it! you're insane
*gets kidnapped and left stranded
Geowizard: "ah this is britian"
Wow 1:05, I live in Edmonton Alberta and immediately recognized that place as jasper. I didn’t think I would recognize it that fast.
Mans is repping my home state on his shirt ✊👏
I will maybe get on the twitch but for now very glad to have found this. Much much much more interesting than 90% of games, in fact I'm off to download it x
geowizard: in an intense game
also geowizard: time for a beer
Wow when you did that second one I was like "damn that's probably in Alberta somewhere, looks a lot like certain stretches of highway I've driven on before" and sure enough it was, hahaha.
The next video:
Guessing the location blindfolded
Many people would have missed The Pentagon, at a quick 10-second glance--even those who have visited there... Because, most visitors take the Metrorail/subway to The Pentagon, and never see the building exterior, because the vehicle parking situation there is horrible. Most news videos showing The Pentagon are aerial shots, emphasizing the 5 sides of the building.
I’m genuinely confused why I love watching these and how he has so many views but damn he earned them
Next challenge:
A diverse world, no MSZ
No zoom in on map
One second per round
...
*and blindfolded*
Me: ah a fance
Geowizard: that's defeneltly britain
RUclips's weird algorithm has brought us all here today
Sees photo of a dirt road in the middle of nowhere: “Obviously Sri Lanka, 4900 points”
Sees a photo of the Pentagon: “I’m thinking Tulsa”
Bro I work right near one of those places you had and you made a better guess than I would have.
I've watched so much of this guy in the past few weeks I've picked up his accent!
This is so mind bogglingly impressive
these are my favourite videos, when you don't have much time, thanks for the content!
Always appreciate how you guess Britain in the span of a nanosecond.
Geowizard: doing well
Geowizard: right I’m getting a beer 🍺 😂
Probably very unuseful but some newer motorways in Poland are made of concrete blocks which are about 1-2 meters wide. If you see a road like this I would recommend going for Poland then.
2:11 "Gee whiz" Sounds like "GeoWiz" (Short for GeoWizard)
"this is the one! this is the one!" "i'm getting a beer" "beer power" that's some top commentary
*Literally 3 fucking rocks*
-GeoWizard: Yes, this must be Afganistán
Wow my city got clicked on! That’s amazing
Did he just say “I couldn’t see any road” when he chose South Africa
It’s true
Bob Lennykins you know Africa has roads right
I think he said that as the kind of asphalt and markings and the side of the road they drive on informs alot of decisions.
babatunde he’s talking about the kind of road that they use, obviously he knows they have road because if they didn’t there wouldn’t be any street view, also, the road has road names on it, so depending on what language it is, he can make an educated guess of where he is
hot shot oh ok
Its crazy when he pulls up a location and you instantly realize its a place you've been a million times. The third one is right outside of the pentagon. Probably driven that road a million times.
first video I've ever watched and this guy goes to my hometown Southport that's either fate or I'm just seriously high right now
3:20 Im peruvian and I instantly thought in Bolivia for the roof type, the mountains and the bricky party wall. Thats pretty similar to Peru but here the roofs are mostly plain and the cities with these kind of mountains dont look like that. What a shame that I would click in La Paz instead of Cochabamba lol.
What up finally a guess in my home state of Kentucky. Hometown roulette would be rough here
More of 10 secs per round, no moving, scrolling, zooming, diverse world please!
How fun, I got an ad for Google maps before this video
Loving your content. I’ve just downloaded the game and I’m addicted. No where near as good as you. 👍
