    This school
Of thought is the essence of the true worship of god, the Quran is the authority in our religion and the hadeeth is taken as historical refference as opposed to having hadeeth as the foundation for our religion. It was never meant to be like that and I’m so happy that there has been a shift in the thinking of Muslims :)

I’m happy too but what confuses me is when someone asks me if I’m a hadith rejector and Quranist, as if following the Quran is some shirk. There is still so much resistance but I don’t blame people, we have been brainwashed for so long I see it in my own family. While I don’t reject all hadith, I am not afraid of anyone thinking that I might be a Quranist. It comes from Allah how can anyone be afraid of that, the fact that we have to think twice to even mention it amongst Muslims makes me wonder why we complain so much about the west when we bully our own so much.

    • @bilaldenbosch7162

The hadith are important because it records the traditions and doings of the prophet of islam Muhammad saws. The man we claim to follow in this religion. These cannot be washed away as simply historical references or whatever. It is taken as a major source of religious law and moral guidance. For example the holy Quran does not exactly teach you how to pray even though prayer is obliged on the muslim. Furthermore, we believe we need the sunnah and hadith to contextualize the holy Quran.
For some to say that we have been “brainwashed” is as shallow as to say that somebody is a hadeeth rejector without really knowing anything about the person.
Allah says in the holy quran:
“O believers! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. Should you disagree on anything, then refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you truly believe in Allah and the Last Day. This is the best and fairest resolution.”
      Surah An-Nisa Verse 59
No doubt he had to convey the divine message, but it was also his duty to act upon it and to explain it to the people. His actions and explanations are a source of guidance forever. His sayings, actions, practices, and explanations are a source of light for every Muslim in every age. And the only way for us to get to know about the prophets sayings, actions, practices and explanations are through Quran AND HADITH (Sunnah). So not quran OR hadith!
So be careful to what we disregard and what we take from the the religion because verily allah said in the holy quran:
“And whoever defies the Messenger after guidance has become clear to them and follows a path other than that of the believers, We will let them pursue what they have chosen, then burn them in Hell-what an evil end!”
      Surah An-Nisa verse 115
Also, we never really rejected hadith unless they were fabricated until the 19th century we started seeing people who were. Why is that? Are we suddenly “more intelligent” or are we understanding things that 1200 years of muslims did not understand?
May allah Azzawajal guide us all and make us believers in allah swt and followers of his prophet without error. Sami’na wa ata’na.

I disagree. Disregarding a Hadith entirely simply because it does not make sense to YOU from a logical standpoint is a practice which should not be done. However, I think it is entirely appropriate to temporarily ignore certain Hadith that do not make sense to YOU personally and do not have a good scholarly explanation, or seem to contradict the Quran (which the Hadith mentioned does not as Islam has many rituals in it). Perhaps at some point all of these issues will be cleared up by the Mahdi or Isa AS when he descends Insha Allah, but we don’t know when that will happen so we need to be careful not to start completely denouncing portions of our religion. The prophet SAW warned people against doing this as it is a major sin and changing of the deen.

Because based of Knowledge from the Holy Quran and hadith the two topics he is addresing does exist. However, one does not cancel the other. He has a problem with logic and what is concrete thinking .

I am a fan of Dr Shabbir. However, I have to point out that I find it is uncharacteristic of him to dismiss something without giving a good argument. In this video he did not provide a good argument for dismissing the evil eye. It is from an authentic hadith so he should give a strong argument if he is to claim the hadith 'problematic'.

As I listened to The discussion I recalled the opening lines of Al Baqarah where it speaks of those who "believe in the Unseen". I wonder if this refers to people who are aware of situations and outcomes they cannot explain rationally and immediately their anxiety goes out of control. As painful as it may be, bad things happen to good people and whatever the cause, nothing happens that is not the Will of God, who is the best planner for our affairs.

Perhaps these are things that could be explained in a demystified sense if you possessed the same level of understanding as Allah regarding their physics, biology, creation, etc. But alas human beings are limited in our technical and scientific knowledge and therefore we cannot grasp these things without a more mystified explanation due to our limited understanding. No Magics, No Evil eyes, Jinns cannot posses people.
You can show me 1000s of hadiths (I know there aren't), but too bad prophet didn't tell me and they are not in the Quran so I don't accept them.
If you believe Prophet was sick because of Magic, then you would be questioning the revelation at that time. That would be a huge problem, you will be digging for what time he was afflicted. And Allah didn't protect his messenger as he promised. It's best bet just to leave those "hadiths" away.
If Magic was real i am sure All the terrorists would be using it lol.
If you believe in evil eyes, then you are denying the words of Allah. Surah 35:2
As for Jinns or Ghost possession. Its not real, it would make a good horror movie.
No One Can see jinns or Control them.
Its Kuffr! even to believe in Magics, Just like believing in Idols (gods created by men) as gods.

Remember Sulayman (As) Had power and Kingdom like no one before or after him giving to him by Allah (Swt). As for Ahadith I'm not Sure where I stand on it I don't want to lean to far one way or the other rather Sirat almustaqeem. I want to follow the Message of the Rusul (Saw) as any Muslim should and his character and conduct ect. We have to find a middle ground any thing that goes against Quran or what you know about your Prophet's (Saw) behavior get rid of it Khaalas. We never put negative connotations next to any Nabi (Peace be upon them) so we have to do the work for sirat almustaqeem that's not bias by any means nor leaning one way or the other but the straight path. That's why The Fatihah is so important and in these moments we have to refer back to it. I hoped I helped brother May Allah guide us all to Sirat Almustaqeem.

The idea of evil eye emerged in ancient times from the belief in extramission theory of vision, where rays emanating from the eyes were thought to cause vision and influence the human body. However, this theory was debunked by Ibn Al Haytham, a famous medieval physicist and mathematician, who established the modern intromission theory of vision in his book Kitab Al Manazir, upon which the medical sciences of Optometry & Ophthalmology are based. It's likely that the idea of evil eye is a metaphor for envy or a misattributed and inauthentic hadith, as it has no basis in the Quran and if it were significant, it would have been mentioned. Today, the current understanding is that light rays entering the eye are responsible for vision, and the concept of evil eye is considered bogus.

Salaam,in reference to Hadith, all Muslims should remember that Allah gave prophet Muhammad One Book -The Qur'an ,which he in turn delivered to mankind. All over The Qur'an Prophet Muhammad clearly states that he only followed what was delivered to him, nothing more.My question to those who believe and follow Hadith, why didn't Prophet Muhammad leave a book of Hadith? The Caliphs after Prophet Muhammad died ,they all burnt Hadiths, even Prophet Muhammad in his lifetime forbid the writing of Hadiths. The Hadiths contain a lot of contradictions and nonsense, take for example that the Prophet was bewitched, when the Qur'an clearly states in many verses that the Prophet was not mad or bewitched,I even encountered Muslims who believed the Hadith putting it ahead of the Qur'an.Hadiths have caused a lot of misunderstanding and confusion among Muslims,we all need to go to the Book Of Allah ,the Book of sure guidance wherein is no doubt and contradictions-The Qur'an.

I had a question for some time in my mind. How do athletes perform at such a high level ? Certainly there are millions of people who envy them, want bad of them. And even in the case they do lose or perform bad, we can find the root cause of their failure, like bad diet, lack of discipline or simply just the other guy is better than them at that day. How is that an average man on the streets falls prey of evil eye of one or two or few people, but not those who are probably under the evil eyes of who knows millions or people ?🤔

Magic: to trick the eye or the senses and make the person believe something that isn't there.
1-If magic was a dark and mysterious force, God wouldn't have said the magicians of Pharaoh tricked the eyes of the people and intimidated them:
He said, “You throw!” And when they threw, they beguiled the eyes of the people, and intimidated them, and produced a mighty magic.7.116
    So will you not reason?
2-If magic was a dark and mysterious force, why did the magicians of Pharaoh use ropes and sticks instead of other objects that didn't not look like snakes? were they weak magicians or did they need the items to look like snakes to trick the eyes of the people?
    So will you not reason?
3-If magic was a dark and mysterious force, why didn't the magicians bind Moses and cast spells on him and made him under their control? Didn't they outnumber him? Wasn't spelling him a better demonstration of their power and knowledge than playing with sticks? Were they weak magicians? or is magic just a trick of the eye?
    So will you not reason?
4-If magic was a dark and mysterious force, the magicians of Pharaoh wouldn't have admitted Moses's prophethood and would have simply said instead that he is indeed a more knowledgably magician than them, after all magic is a mysterious force and they got outplayed by him, wasn't that better for them than getting butchered and crucified? Or is magic just a trick of the eye and they witnessed a real miracle? If they had even an atom of doubt that magic is a mysterious force and you can change a stick to a snake that eat others with that force, they wouldn't have accepted the horrible punishment.
    So will you not reason?
5-If magic was a dark and mysterious force, God wouldn't have destroyed Thamud for killing the she-camel, because bringing a she-camel out of a rock is exactly what you would expect from a dark and mighty and knowledgeable magician, so did God wrong them? or is magic just a trick of the eye and they knew this fact and yet denied the truth?
    So will you not reason?
6-If magic was a dark and mysterious force, the people of the prophet would have been totally justified in saying he is a magician, wasn't he bringing thousands of people into his new religion? doesn't that look exactly like a spoken spell? or is magic just a trick of the eye and they knew this fact and yet denied the truth?
    So will you not reason?
7-If magic was a dark and mysterious force, the radical-Jews would have been totally justified in crucifying Jesus, because walking on water and bringing the dead and breathing life into clay and telling people what they store in their homes is exactly what you would expect from a dark and mighty and knowledgeable magician.
    So will you not reason?
8-If magic was a dark and mysterious force, all the deniers of truth would have been justified in denying it, if indeed there were people out there controlling dark and mysterious forces, because how can one recognize a miracle from a dark and mysterious act?
    So will you not reason?
The Truth has been made clear to you!
Now you know now you know!
    So tell others!
It's time to stop using the light of God to lead people into Darkness.
It's time for the Islamic world to go back to its golden age.
It's time to leave the age of magic and enter the age of reason.

It's good to have a historical perspective on the life of prophet Muhammad but we shouldn't use it in our everyday lives. Cast off all of your associations and abandon shirk.

There are even a few verses in the Quran that confirm the veracity of the books before it and the accounts of the prophets of the previous generations. There is still plenty of knowledge a Muslim can learn from reading the Torah and Gospel, after reading and understanding the Quran.

Dr. Ally is your "source" for everything. You display a blind belief in his "scholarship". You are guilty of taqleed. Your presentation of this topic rested entirely on his "opinion", whereas what he should have done is address the authenticity of the hadith on the basis of the solidity of the chain of narrators.
You take a hadith -> you evaluate its apparent linguistic meaning in comparison to the Qur'an -> if there is no obvious contradiction, you evaluate the strength of the chain of narration -> if it is solid, you study the application of the hadith in our daily practice of Islam.
But Dr. Shabbir did nothing of that sort.

Speaking from personal experience as a medical doctor and a Muslim. I have personally experienced the ill effects of magic between few hours to 24hrs on two separate occasions- my experiences could not be explained by psychiatry ailment. It did not fit any specified diagnostic pattern nor am I in need of any antipsychotics then or now. In fact I saw first hand the work of the medical doctor and some of quacks who claim to provide spiritual healing some of whom were practising magic. May Allah forgive me and them.
For me personally I found healing in reciting the Quran as the scholar has already mentioned Surah Falq moreover I found comfort in understanding that our dear Prophet SAW too was affected.
Believing in Islamic concept of magic does not mean that ones intelligence or the ahadeeth should be refuted.
Magic is a knowledge that can harm mankind only by Allah's Will. But by experience really brought me in awe of Allah's Book and His Messenger

When you see and experience the healing of Quraan then your Imaan just soars. If I could share my experience here but this is not the platform for it. once you start doing ruqya on yourself and others, Allah shows you things which you were sceptical about before. Absolutely amazing. Dr Shabir Ally knows nothing about jinn possession. I have studied this topic for years now and know for a fact that drug abuse open gateways for such addicts to be possessed by jinn. No wonder alcohol is also called Spirits. Delirium Tremens is not illusions...these people see jinns in scary forms. As Muslims who believe in the effects of jinn possession and magic and evil eye, we are so blessed not to fall for the tricks of popular magicians like Dynamo etc. Also mentalists like Darren Brown. They are seeking the assistance of Jinn and it shows in their eyes for they themselves are possessed and can therefore communicate with jinn. May Allah SWT guide Dr Ally as he thinks in terms of science and philosophy. The Quraan is above all these and the healing and mercy is in the Quraan. Some of us feel and see the presence of jinn. They are fond to manifest themselves in the form of dogs and cats. Once you understand that this is Real you will make a conscious Wudhu for Ablution is definitely a shield against Shaytaan and always try and be in wudhu. I speak from experience as I deal with possessed people daily. I don't have to ask any questions anymore as the symptoms are so apparent and these victims are pumped with anti depressants and all kinds of chemicals that cause more harm to their bodies. Please Dr Ally educate yourself and visit Raqis like Mohammed Tim Humble whose knowledge can benefit you. Through your ignorance you are advising people that their suffering is their imagination or that they must accept that they have a medical condition. I have found that people who study philosophy always seem to have doubt in the Unseen world. So disappointed in Dr Ally.
Also need to add that a person who commits a crime in a possessed state will remember very little or nothing after the act. The one who remembers is responsible because he listened to the whispering of the devil. You will find that the one one who could not recall the crime is often diagnosed with some mental disorder and end up in a mental institution and not in jail. Question for you Dr Ally, Why was this "mentally ill" criminal born sane and suffered this disorder later in his /her life? Test them with Ruqya and you will have no doubt Inshaa Allah.

Our scholars says nobody can understand quran except what the scholar has translated but i don't think so guidance never ends as allah will be forever. In religion young children or teenagers they learned fast and they think that the world are going fast so they are not so interested now in the religion and quran have some aayat which our ulama has translated its doesn't sound nice to them and most of the cases are from hadith 1000 of it are fabricated.thats why i think allah is revealing some very useful and secret information through his good preacher of the quran and its nice that most of them are quran lovers.

@@lamson8349 No, this is a completely incorrect view of Islam. Every human being has a different conscience and sense of reality. Some people are more willing to accept things than others. For example, did you know some Muslims completely reject the existence of Jinn? Even though they are clearly mentioned as being a creation of Allah in the Quran separate from humans just like the angels are a separate creation, some people still reject them due to their “consciousness” or “sense of reality”. Operating on the same principles, some Muslim people reject the concept of playing games (video games, cards, selling cards or video games, etc) as being completely haram, while others do not. Some people are willing to call others kuffar or kill them over these issues, yet they’re relying entirely on statements from individuals in history who they’d never personally met. You can’t simply operate on your own consciousness, you have to do the best you can to adhere to Islam, but I think it’s acceptable to sideline or ignore Hadith that seem to contradict the Quran and the majority of the teachings in the Sunnah. For example, it is my personal opinion that Hadiths which demean or degrade women can be ignored, or hadiths stating that people cannot make jokes about one another that are personal even if they know each other well and are unbothered, or that anyone who leaves his faith should be killed even if they are peaceful, etc can be ignored because they tend to contradict the message and principles of Islam.
This doesn’t mean the Hadith is wrong necessarily. Rather, in most cases, I believe some of these Hadith only make up a portion of what the prophet actually stated, similar to taking a verse or portion of the Quran out of context without historical knowledge, or ignoring the fact that many things in the Quran are written in a metaphorically representative fashion to paint a mental picture of a situation.

If he knew magic, he should have saw that coming or defended himself with his magic.

I really admire and respect shabbir ally in many ways but i also disagree with him on many points
    1. He always relies on scholarly opinions while rarely going go the actual quran or hadith.. i have noticed this in his debates (islam vs Christianity) infact. I saw him almost fairly losing out on arguements with nabeel.qureshi (christian apologist).
    2. Using other scholarly opinion, shabbir refutes hadith that 'do not make sense' to him or his scholarly companions. But what about the whole science behind authenticating the hadith (last well known was sheikh albani). So if we are to take shabbir allys ideology, 90% of hadith of muslim, bukhari would be problematic
    3. He cites dr israr ahmed (p.s he was from my country pakistan) as one of the authors who cites the importance of 'close door policy elimination'. While dr israr ahmeds works are incredible he too wasnt free from error. His support of wahda tul wujood ? Anyone ? He spoke in favour of it. FYi.wahdtul wujuud (the concept of one origin with many faces) is a clear contradiction to Quran, with nearly all main stream scholars fiercely rejection this ideology- again not due to those scholars opinion per se, but due to the nature of this belief
I absolutely admire shabbir allys knowledge. Hes second to none. But i feel hes far off on certain topics due to his approach to scholarly methods. If i compare him to dr zakir nayak, ahmed deedat, theres a stark comparison between him and them.. while they gain their expertise in the knowledge of the scriptures and their comparison/contrasts/ contradictions, dr shabbir ally mostly utilises points raised by scholars and their interpretation of scripture (just like his debates with christians)

I agree with your comments abt accountability but my issue is with liberals like shabir ally, and many others who say that even proven saheeh hadith are wrong or problematic 🤣🤣
Tell you what ? Its like saying "salah has 3 sajdas not 2" and that the hadith with 2 sajdas is problematic.
That was the main point in my issue that i mentioned. And Allah knows best..

By refering to soneof ther points before.
I maynot be 100% correct about his views
    But..
His thought processes seemed to be based on the assumption of philosophical naturalism.
He seems to be in partial-disagreement with spiritual realm (as he hisagrees with evil-eye), and only limited the cause effect criteria to emiprical one.
While in Islam its clear that we have a spiritual reality which cannot be empirically observed, and hard to make sense with inductive methods.
We have deduction based reasoning - which helps us to acquire ilm-ul-yaqeen, the knowledge certainty. (unlike the knowledge of science which is uncertain and susceptible to change)
That's why we go back to Quran and Sunnah, without any bias towards philosophical assumptions of liberal, modernists and empiricist.
And with the strong rules of inference we believe it can genuinely happen, behind our perception. Regardless of what empiricist and reductionist says about reality.
We clearly know - science has a problem of induction, and so the empiricism has. Thus we cannot use this paradigms to judge and scrutinize the traditional narrations. The traditional scholars had a strong mechanism to uphold Islamic epistemology, so no point of orientalist-lenses to revisit those narrations. Otherwise one would hit the axe on their own feet.
So please, better consider revisiting the thought peocess, asumptions or lenses of redutionist, empiricist and cursed-orientalists (as this is what their world-view is meant for, already to change), we cant use a world-view which uncertain within itself to counter the knowledge of certainty.
    Thank You.

Why is this so called doctor ignoring the fact that the two quls, al-falaq and al-nas were sent down to the prophet because of the magic that was done to him, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and that magic is a pact made between a magician and a shaytaan and that none of them can harm you except with Allah's permission. Wallahi no saheeh hadith narrated from the prophet are problematic and may Allah guide you from the clear error that you are upon. This is definitely problematic that you think that you find the hadith about the sahaaba who was inflicted by evil eye to be untrue. May Allah save us from walking upon the wrong path and believing it to be true. For surely then are we truly lost like the nasaaris and yahuud who have earned the wrath of Allah.

I love Dr. Shabir but he has no knowledge of the jinn, sihr, and evil eye. I don’t blame him since I was just like him. Mashallah he hasn’t ever experienced that and I hope he never does.
But I understand his approach to the Hadiths. For me it’s the other way around. I found the HDithhs that deal with magic to be more credible than the ones that deal with lies such as alcohol is haram, blasphemy against God’s prophet (Bukhari 323 for example) and so on.
The Hadiths are BS (45:6-7) but the ones about magic are somewhat true. I have personal examples of magic, jinn possession, and evil eye. All are actually interlinked.

I don’t think the message is deciding which Hadiths to label right or wrong, the message is to fact check whatever you’re told. You should always check on authenticity and veracity of any Hadith, this should be second nature. The Quran doesn’t have a need for this since it is the actual holy scripture.

I think Harut and marut are not angels because that is contradicting with that angels never do evil things , so i asked a relative arabic scholar about this ayah to make sure then we've found two things that the word ما is related to ما both of soliman and two angels that الله tells us they did not do it (soliman and the two messengers angels) , the second thing ببابل هاروت و ماروت thats called in arabic تقديم و تاخير means it is a new story here الله did not say هاروت و ماروت ببابل to link the two angels to this phrase in the end he knows best الله اعلى و اعلم hope the scholar shabbir make researches about it and tell me what he will find

Ahmed Galal They did not teach it except that they told them this is a test from your Lord and not to learn from this . It was to clarify the difference between Sihr and a miracle giving to a Nabi (Peace be upon them). They didn't disobey Allah (Swt) nor was it malice or considered evil. Rather followed the command to test and show the people what Sihr really is all about and also freeing Sulayman (As) from the accusations of disbelief and being a magician due to the fact Allah (Swt) had giving him many Miracles and a Kingdom Like never before or after. I hope that helps brother May Allah guide us all to the sirat almustaqeem.

Amin , but my opinion is because of arabic reading , read the whole ayah و لكن الشياطين كفرو يعلمون الناس السحر that means that the devils from human and jinn who were and are teaching magic (decieving) and as i mentioned in the comment above the word ما before the two angels is the same word ما before prophet sulaiman wich means they did not do that in arabic we say it عطف our lord mentioned also that no one will see the angels except when his death , he said also when he sent angels to help the prophet and the believers he said you do not see them , and in the end hope our lord guide us and forgive us if we were mistaken , peace

Ahmed Galal Ameen. That's where the middle ground comes in because we know Allah doesn't contradict himself so what is contradictory to Allah we must investigate. When it says they did not do it we have to know they mean magic (disbelieve). Automatically to practice Sihr is definitely Disbelief in Allah the Angels can't do things out of there on will especially disobey they clarify they didn't do it Meaning Sulayman (As) and Harut & Marut they are not responsible for the practice of sihr the people where initially doing this with the help of the shaytans. He stop them from doing this and the minute he took away there books it became a issue that he is the Magician because he has all these miracles how we know your not doing Magic. Only once all that has taken place did Allah step in to set the record straight for the people of Sulayman (As) And then sent Harut and Marut. Allah knows best

You know brother harut and marut are not angels in my opinion because in arabic there is something called تقديم و تاخير i don't know the english name of it , anyway it is a grammer means that it is a new story seprated from the story before it like our lord said ببالبل هاروت و ماروت means at babel harut and marut and that is the تقديم و تاخير if it is not تقديم و تاخير it will be harut and marut at babel هاروت و ماروت ببابل so it is a new story here seprated from denying the accusation of sulaiman and the two angels who were reveal for him the words of our lord from disblieve because they accused them of disblieve , so allah begins a new story about harut and marut which they may be human and as you,ve said allah knows best الله اعلم

    • @wasbtf
      @wasbtf 4 года назад

      Rizwan Pallickal Moidu
There are no contradictions in the book of Allah, the Quran. If we are unable to comprehend a verse in the Quran, it doesn’t mean that what it says is not true. It just means the meaning of the verse is not meant to be clear or it was due to our lack of knowledge in the subject.
As Allah says In Surah Al Imron verse number 7,
“It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah . But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.”
Islam means total submission to the will of God and total obedience to His law. If we want to claim that we are a true Muslim, what do we do? We submit and we obey Allah’s commands totally.
With due all respect to Dr. Ally, his knowledge in this subject is lacking and he shouldn’t be doing what he is doing in this video.
Please note brother, I’m not here trying to tarnish Dr. Ally reputation anyway. I believe he is sincere in trying to educate the ummah. But as human, we are prone to make mistakes. May Allah forgives, guide us to the right path and keep our hearts firm on the truth.
