wow 3 kettles what a bonus , all looking very smart , what a wonderful video , best 20 mins of the night many thanks Phil loved it stay safe a t b syd👍👌
People showing such interest in these engineering marvels of the past is quite cheering in my opinion. When I was trainspotting in the 50's a couple of Black 5s was a little mundane (we all wanted Stanier Pacifics if spotting on the LMR) but now appreciation of these maids of all work is obvious from the crowds. Nice video, but I wouldn't have enjoyed being in that multitude!
Many thanks. Very true, what was an everyday sight is now a rarity. Good to see the crowds with their enthusiasm, but not good to be amongst. The zoom lens is handy as you can keep further away.
WOW, it must be rare to get three steam trains into york Phil, looked very busy and noisy too, take some keeping in order all those folk, i was watching the York cam in the warmth after i uploaded my video of the tour in rain, thought about going, but they cancelled some trains again and it looked a bit busy, great video of the days events by the way, cheers Steve . 👍🎥
Thanks Steve. Yes, often get 2, but not 3 in one day. They must dread it lol, never heard 'Stand behind the yellow line ' shouted so much! If only people the few did, they wouldn't spoil it for everyone? Lucky my trains there were ok.👍
Excellent video. Good to see the two in the station together. What was the cause of the 30 minute delay to 45231? It looked like a late departure from the siding on the map I was following it on?
You and Harry got some good footage Phil. Interesting to see Scots Guardsman arrive and the LSL train going to Thrall and off to London. Much better than what I managed to achieve (thanks to all the crowds). Good to see you.
Thanks Les. Good to see you too. Yes, it's not the easiest of stations to get a good video, and the crowds were certainly big. Still we both had a great day and enjoyed the Yorvik museum too.
If you and Harry had stood on top of the footbridge the whole time, you would have avoided being bowled. Nice to see 3 LMS steamies in action. What's not to love about Mr. Jack of all Trades and a Scot? They should have all been wearing a SANTA SPECIAL headboard, a pity they weren't.
True. We wouldn't have got bowled. Unfortunately would have might most of the action, and would have got told to move by station staff. Got kicked off the steps as it was lol. Great locos though.
What ever happened to displaying the correct head/tail lamps? Track workers, amongst other people rely on seeing the correct lights to know when to get clear of running lines, track workers are frequently struck by trains or having to jump for their lives.
That female at York does like ruining everyone's audio recording! - - Thinking of 'shopping' tours - notice they all start in London, and come North, but you very very rarely see one that starts North, and goes to London! - (Mind you - having seen London prices! - - - )
That's one of the most interesting steam video's I have seen in years ... well done
Many thanks 👍😀
Super video. The shot of the two Black 5's together was a treat. Watched on the York cam and wished I could have been there!
Many thanks. Yes a rarity! Sorry you couldn't make it.

Thanks Steve. Yes sounded well in the dark 👍
Great video Phil. I was also in York last Saturday but missed 46115.
Thanks Henry. I wondered if you might be, but it was packed on the station
What a fantastic day of tours it was at York, I bet the signalmen must've been having a great time with so much activity in the station
It was a great day 😀. Not just the signal men, the station staff were kept busy too!
Great video Phil. I love the shot of the two 5's in the platform. Steam locos rule OK.
Thanks, had to get that one, but only just managed it.😀
A very good day at York Phil if you are into Steam.
Thanks Mike. Plenty on the station that were

Thanks. Not sure the reason, but yes, it seemed ready to leave the siding and waiting for a path into the station?
nice filming Pill, I filmed the Scotsman @ long Preston and Holifield.
Thanks Anthony. Been a busy week end
What’s the best site to confirm when steam engines and classic diesels are visiting York or settle Carlisle line ?

This is good

Looks like the LMS locos are invading the east coast mainline
What would Sir Nigel say?
@@philclarke3203I think he will be saying hang on we don’t need these LMS locos at this east coast territory thank you

Indeed!
Scots Guardsman, NOT Gurdsman🙄🤣🤣

She could certainly be heard!
Can't blame them for wanting to get away from London, and it's ridiculous prices. Last place I would want to go.
