I always remember driving through Jonesboro on my way to Greenville via 11W. Thanks for sharing.
It is a bit off the main road but well worth the effort
I enjoyed your tour of Jonesborough, TN. I'd love it if you went back when the weather was nicer. It looked like it was warm outside, at least!
yes the temperatures weren't too terribly bad
This is a really beautiful town!
Historic architectual beauty , thank you two busy bees. I really value history and y'all are the right teachers.
Thank you so much for the support, Mike
Thank you both of you for the latest RUclips video.
Amazing job on filming considering the awful weather . You both carried on with a smile whilst many would have just given up !
Greetings from an equally wet & cold
Derbyshire , England.
Thanks so much, hope you're staying dry today
It's always a good day to binge watch old R.A. video's and catch up on a cool one like this. That town is one picture postcard after another. And the time and weather was perfect.
It’s hard to beat Jonesborough, a GREAT town. Thanks for the views 😃
We certainly enjoyed the video, we love old towns, the historic buildings are amazing! Sorry y’all got wet! Keep up the great work!! Thanks again
Thanks so much, thankfully, neither of us melted lol
I am a Brazilian. I Love watching videos of american southern towns. The South seems to be a really unique place.
Thanks for watching, yes, the south is very unique in this country
glad yall made it here. Hope yall went right down the road to David Crockett's Birthplace State Park in Limestone too! A lot of history around here.keep up the great work
didn't get to make it that day but hope to when we get to Greeneville
I love seeing the old buildings & hearing the history of places! Y'all looked like pitiful little wet mice! Well, Shane a little worse than Melody! She looked pretty even in the rain! 😂 Some of the most fun I've had has been in the rain! We got caught in the rain while in the pits helping a friend with his racecar...I was smart & crawled in the racecar after swiping rain off the racecar & getting hubby & friend soaked!! One racecar driver went & sat in a porta potty with the door open! Lol! 🤪😂 Oh the fun I miss having! But thankfully I got y'all to keep me company! Stay safe and God bless y'all! 🎄🙏👍
yes, fun is definitely what you make of it even in the rain - God bless you too
Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate with your tour of Jonesborough, but y’all did a great job. I’d love for you to go back some day!
thanks so much
Absolutely beautiful, you guys done this town right! I wish I was there with you, at that candy store. That church is beautiful also, every thing was. Thanks for taking us along! God Bless you both and Merry Christmas! (Glen).
Thank you, Glen! Merry Christmas to you and yours! - Melody
Nice. Keep ‘em coming.
They really did a nice job there, with that museum. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
What a nice video and such a cute town. I was hoping you guys would end the video with your wax lips 👄 on. 😂
Do you guys ever do videos of any small diners that you might eat at ? I’d like to see some good old Southern meals.
Thank you.
We occasionally take a videos in diners, etc. when we have time to eat - which seems to be less and less often but we are going to try to slow it down and enjoy it
Please visit it again!
Very cute town 😊
24,000 subscribers ! You guys are doing great, keep it up 👍

Definitely would like a walk and drive thru tour when the weather is better.

Must have been a tough crowd if they thought they could tar and feather Andrew “Old Hickory” Jackson!
ain't that the truth lol
How genteel.💕Really cool.
Love this
❤️
Stale popcorn is the trick to making tree decorations. Fresh popcorn is almost impossible to use!
Nice place. Definitely need much more time in a historic town like that. 👍🇺🇸
That's what we were thinking too
Please!! No PC content!! Haha love the hobo song in the candy store
Getting out in that weather will make you sick
You two need to go to Mountain Lake Lodge Pembroke Virginia
We've talked about that one
I'm sure my Evil Knievel motorcycle is upstairs at my parents house!!

Yes Yes Yes Please Please Please do another video of Jonesborough Tennessee in good weather! Wife and I could no get to that location in September when we were in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. What incredible history. You both are such an amazing videographers and great assets to education on Appalachian history!
Thank you so much, Mike! We will definitely plan a trip back in better weather. We both love visiting here and taking in the history. - Melody
Just found out about a Dickens of a Christmas they do in Franklin TN. It just passed Dec. 11-12. Maybe next year. Looked cool 🎄☃️
Shane, I enjoy u 2, especially you know who's smile
I hear ya lol. Thanks!
It would be nice to have a complete tour of there when the weather is clear.
That was awesome. My Dad, and brother and I went on a big road trip in 2012 to Tennessee to go to a family funeral. On the way to the house of the family we stopped in Jonesborough, just long enough for a few pictures. I got a picture of that inn at the beginning of your video. I also got pictures of that log house, that Mail Pouch sign, and the courthouse. We also went through Elizabethton and Greeneville. We spent more time in Greeneville than the other towns. I love roadtrips, and I'd love to get back to Jonesborough sometime.
Jonesborough and Greeneville (along with Rogersville) are my favorite places in East Tennessee
That’s really interesting about James Cousins. I believe that area what’s a strong hold for abolitionists and antebellum times.
it was indeed
Loved it! So much history in that little town. Glad you still went for it in the cold rainy weather. Thank you.
Glad you liked it, Karen
You can ride around state of Franklin road in JC, the state may not technically exist but the idea still is very alive in the area..
This reminds me, a bit, of the historic section of Charleston, WV.
Love Jonesborough!! Thanks for sharing!
Could I get your wife to do my voice voice mail?🥰😍🤩
Awesome video, I love those old houses and buildings.
I used to live in here! Graduated from Science Hill in Johnson City, and spent years in JC working for ATT!
Science Hill is supposed to be a great school, I lived in JC for a year or so myself
Coming from a city in The Netherlands that was founded around 5 BC ( Ulpia Noviomagus Batavorum now Nijmegen ) by the Romans it's wonderful see this historic towns in the US!
That sounds incredible! We’re glad to show you our part of history. - Melody
Great video again and yet another town in which we're going to have yo visit. Is this the town that a big Civil War battle. If I remember correctly they had a battle that was bigger than Gettysburg. I watched it on history channel years ago. It took place on a farm there. I can't remember the name of the farm now. Sorry so late in watching this I'm playing catch up today.
Never mind it was the Carnton Plantation in Franklin. Sorry for the mix up. Should've looked it up before I commented. Thanks
I've driven by Jonesboro many times, always too busy to stop. Will have to get there now that we are retired.
Thanks for another fine video!
Thanks so much
Great video!
Thank you
