Totally a fan of the IEM content! I love how unique and volatile the market is - with all different types of releases, sounds, and designs. Also stoked to see some content about the Crimson in particular, it has been near impossible to find many reviews/impressions of it on YT.
3:08 I'm an iem guy so i like iem reviews and impressions, Crimson is one with a lot of buzz surrounding it in the community, so it's nice to see being talked about
@@HobbyTalk We'll figure out a way to show both eventually, but there is actually a downside. We don't want people using raws to compare with graphs done on other rigs that aren't compatible. This happens all the time because people don't realize that comparing raws is meaningless (unless they're both done on the same rig).
@@ResolveReviews However, what prevents individuals from comparing compensated data across various rigs? This presents a similar issue unless all the rigs are precisely calibrated. If they were, comparing raw data wouldn't pose a problem. It's akin to handling raw data but with an additional step involved. Another approach could involve providing everyone with a standardized calibrated DF target for compensation. Yet, there might be uncertainty regarding whether everyone would be willing to take the time to upload the target curve.
I started my IEM hobby just over a year ago. I always found that full size headphones made my ears hot and sweaty. For years I have owned a pair of Shure SE425's and loved them for their detailed response. Little did I know that there was a whole world of IEM's out there to explore. I am now up to 6 pair of IEM's, ranging from $200-$450, as that is as high as I can go on my income. I am saving up for my TOTL's, and had it narrowed down to 2 pair. It seems now that with every review, that number keeps growing. A $1200 set is my goal, but which to choose??? IDK... Keep up the good work and thank you always for your take on the subject.
Would be very happy to see even more IEM content! With Chi-Fi, improvements just happen so much quicker compared to overhead things. Can be a bit of a negative sometimes, coz it can feel like companies are releasing too much, too soon. But I still prefer that since, in general, it lowers the prices of better quality things.
Need more iem content because it's a market that's always changing and not as clear cut as over ears. If you want a certain type of over ear the same set of models have been recommended forever and we get maybe 2 mild shakeups a year
thank you for adding the 10db slope back to the FR graph. It really helps with the readability of it for me. I appreciate that you guys are open to community feedback on stuff like that. You guys are the best
This is good content. I was surprised to see that Simphonium didn't list the driver count or type in thier literature. With that being said the Dorado 2020 from Campfire only has two drivers and for the type of files I listen to, Flac ftom CD's not remastered from vynal, sound fantastic. So less can be more with the right aucustic tuning.
The headphone show should review the Bose Ultra earbuds and over-ears. I would like to get your take on the implementation of CustomTune and Immersive Audio technologies from Bose
Thanks Resolve! The Meteor is outstanding except for the paint job. As for future content, I am fine with the Rise of the Listener as an attenuator for the Mad Economist but you don’t want to tone him down too much because he is quite a clever fellow. It would be good to see more live Resolve content with the hat, reviewing more stuff and answering questions. Perhaps this could be done on alternating tracks. The audio-philosophy track would be tokened by the trio, dressed in togas with seashells protruding from their ears, while the product review track would be just Resolve solo with a stack of boxes.
I tried them at CanJam. On my Looto PAW 6k the were good, but not great. If you tried them via the MASS Kobo 475 that they had on the table, they were outstanding! They scale considerably and change considerably with amplification. Note, I tried them on the same day with most of the high end IEMs at the show and this competed well, but only with 475. I wish Andrew would have told us his amp of choice.
would love to have some recomandation content on descent to good quality wired earbuds review (thoses that dont go in the earcanal) Its the only ones I can wear, and I dont see them a lot, and when I do, there's not a lot of information on them! Cheers!
I'm early early. I colloquially call it the "Zero Red Pro Max without the cleaner Treble extension the Red has" Now what I want from you. Speaker stuff
nice review.. but I would rather prefer to see reviews of stuff that costs less... let's say under 1k USD, just to be more on the "human" level.. it doesn't mean super cheap budget stuff, but just a bit more affordable than this which is 1.5k... my personal opinion, thanks
I’d like to see a review and measurements of the new HE1000 stealth and how it compares to the V2. Been absolutely loving mine, with EQ it feels almost susvara level for 1/4 the price.
I’m more in to headphones reviews. Mostly because I work from home and use headphones more than iems. I own and u12t and z1r and am therefore fine with what I own. Plus I prefer to use air pods pro 2 when I go out for walks
More IEM and over ear stuff for sure. I don't really care about Bluetooth/ANC headphones, but I still watch those just to be aware of what's on the market.
Meanwhile I stick with my Monarch Mk 3s. Only thing that can seem more worth it is 64 Audio's offerings...which cost 3x as much for probably little difference.
If you've ever actually used a very expensive headphone, you'd quickly learn why expensive headphones sound so amazing (unless you have hearing damage in which case I'm so sorry)
@cesaresp101 Oooohhhh yes it is. Though it's why some of the most well known headphones like the Sennheiser HD600 which is 3 to 400 bucks has lasted so long and remains a king in its space: its tuning was perfected early on and its tuning remains relevant to this day.
@@cesaresp101 I've heard the soundstage of those are really really good with good bass and midrange but I've heard nothing but horrible shit about the treble which makes it a very dark headphone. It's the polar opposite of the HD600: excellent mids and treble but nonexistent bass. The 6XX are conflicting: some say it has good bass, others say it muddies the mids. Ngl I ultimately went for IEMs and my upgrade path was Arias to Blessing 3s to Monarch Mk 3s and dont plan on buying anything audio for the next 5 to 10 years at least.

Due to the frequency of IEM releases, and the need to find the few standouts, IEM reviews seem like a worthwhile service.
loving the iem content. It would be cool if you did more recommended products or your own personal gear that you guys all use for content.

Get the Symphonium Meteors for half your TOTL budget. They’re incredible.
Personally, I like content regarding IEMs and headphones, especially looking for the most neutral ones. Thanks for this review!

Best comment hahaha
what is wrong with the paint job, does it chip, or is it just not appeal to u?
Thanks Resolve, please do more IEMs.
Love the Crimson!
It's kind of hard to believe Andrew on treble I think he is really sensitive to bit bity treble 😆😎
Still rocking Campfire Andromeda 2020 which has amazing treble extension without sibilance or fatigue
I'd like to see a review of headphones for kids and young teens in the run up to Christmas.
Maybe my misinterpretation, but it sounded like you were going to talk about the Mirai later in the video but we didn't get to it.

watched the video on reading graphs and still have no idea what I'm looking at... why can't we go back...
genuinely suffering reading the compensated tilted graphs

I mostly agree, but I would still incorporate wireless products that seem to make a difference. Such as the focal bathys and the Final UX300
Another thin mids gem? Pass.
Yes love this quicker meat and potatoes format. Too many iems, too little time for 25min reviews! Well done.
So, because you did not mention the price, does that mean it is free? Ha ha.
