- Dr Rogers removes 20 lbs of fluid from the abdomen of a dog with cancer. Sometimes cancers can become effusive, or leak fluid. This caused an accumulation of fluid in the abdomen that was uncomfortable for the pet. We would palliatively remove this fluid as part of her "hospice" care. We removed this once weekly until her disease progressed and she was humanely euthanized.
Omg the amount of fluid
can a dog with maligne ascites be treated with lostumine?
hope you can answer please
My dog just died from this
We got our dog drained about a week and now all the fluid has come right back. I’m so scared for him
I’m very sorry for your loss
@@gasandgrits1757 unfortunately it'll just keep coming back. The vet told us the tumor in her bladder was bleeding so it swelled up her bladder then it ruptured her bladder causing ascites in the stomach. Every time I drained her she was exhausted and not her self she would look at me like if she didn't know where she was. So I had to put her down. She passed peacefully in my arms.
