'm going from an Amazon Fire Stick 2nd gen from like around 2015 to a Fire Stick 4k Max 2023. That 8GB to 16 GB boost and at about twice the RAM should help.

Are you saying there is no difference between the 2023 and 2024 models of the Firestick 4k Max 16gb 6e?

I think they are the same thing. This 2nd gen model was launched in 2023. The previous model launched in 2021 I think. So the 2023 model is the newest one you can get. There is no 2024 model.
