Hey bro, I started watching about a year ago and finally am able to walk again. i just wanted to tell you how much these videos help me and keep, positive, lol the jade is rad. thanks bro. muchlove bro
My great-grandfather died an incredibly painful and awful death of asbestos poisoning or exposure. I guess my great-grandmother sued the company he worked for and won a pretty large settlement but it stopped paying out when she passed away. It's some scary stuff man. Be careful
Yea, if you know about asbestos, it's no joke. (Google, folks) It's not that they didn't WANT to use it, its a hazard to use it in the first place, so we DON'T use it anymore. Don't breathe it, fibers are like hooks that spear into your lungs causing cancer.
My grandfather worked in all the schools he worked with it too n ended up with ocpd bad. He kept smokin tho till almost the end. He kinda traded my life for his. That's a long story. But it's crazy what they worked in to support the family ❤ may they both rest in peace he's with my grandma she passed first.
Ita still beautiful can make stuff from it. There's a machine u can get that takes core samples out of it first n I watched that show jade fever. There's a series I used to watch it all the time. I live this shite. So cool chrome I wish I was there so bad. 😊
My husband-ex and I built Jade City back in 1985. Cassia was in full swing and supplied us with groceries, banking, hospital. We had the best Dr.s and nurses. Stories are the tailings pile is full of very then valuable items like trucks, equipment and even Gold.
The reason I'm attracted to the videos where you are struggling!!! Is because seeing you OVERCOME the struggles is PROFOUND. watching a dude live in a van and there aren't struggles isn't super inspiring. You are living an alternative lifestyle, seeing how you overcome your struggles inspires us.
Very interesting seeing all of that Jade , something I never knew that was in BC was about the mining of Asbestos and now Jade. Love how you have made so many cool friends along your travels. Smooches for Cruzie 💋 🐾 🦴
Cruz is the cutest little thing you've ever did see. You're talking about adding excitement and he is like not happy. He's all the excitement you need.
I heard about Cassiar when I was growing up in N. Van and wondered what it was like. Thanks for sharing this side trip. Wow to think when we were kids in kindergarten they had us make ashtrays for our parents out of asbestos!!
Hi, Chrome loving that part of the country. Vancity Vanlife will be more adventurous on a quad. And I know you'll have fun. I waiting for the next chapter on your travels. Rick from Ottawa.✌✌🐾🐾🐾
When I was a kid, my folks and I visited Cassiar in 1992 just when it was due to be shut down. Didn't take long to get the homes out. All of them were modular, no nails. Just had to break down the walls and get them out. I barely remember it, but I know that all the employees were gone when we visited. That OSHKOSH is highly desired. Detroit power, probably a 12V71T.
Adding a quad does not take away from your vanlife. It will enhance what you already do and therefore allows us to follow along further into the back country. Go for what makes your heart sing. Enjoyed your video.
The strength that the whole family has shown is a shining example for all. So relieved to hear that she is recovering. Best wishes to The Wales family.
I know a guy in Mississippi with a school bus buried in the ground in between two hills and when a tornado comes him and his family go to the bus and party until the storms are over it's pretty nice
My roommate in grade 11 (boarding school) was from Cassiar. That was back in 1983/84. She loved growing up there and was pretty heartbroken when it closed down.
Reminds me of Elliot Lake ontario. I became a near ghost town in the 1990s due to the closure of the uranium mine now an old age resettlement place. I find it fascinating that there used to be houses on the main road he was driving on that are now gone. If i had old footage I would superimpose the houses over the forest to show then and now. Mothernature once again reclaims her land
Go for what you want Chrome. I think it would be absolutely awesome. Not everyone is into it, and that is ok. Once you are happy inside then others may start opening themselves up to learning new things and ways. Your life is not about following a trend that society gets on board with right away. You are not a person who goes with living on the safe side. Be you ❤
BIG shout out to you from PG BC. Thank you so much for your positivity and adventures to places from my childhood. I'm originally from Ontario but grew up in BC. I've been to Cassiar when I was 12. There was snow in August! There was also the character called Mighty Moe who moved to Terrace after Cassiar closed down. Safe travels and a smoosh to Cruz from me!!
I like putting your show on while I drive the shuttle at the airport where I work. Just trying to promote and endorse the travel industry, here. Thanks Chrome and Cruze. ❤
I don't want to cause unnecessary concern Chrome, but please put that asbestos mineral/rock in a sealed bag so you don't breathe in the fibres. Licking it isn't really a concern, but breathing the fibres into your lungs can cause irrepairable damage.
Love your videos Chrome! I especially love Cruz! I own 2 Bulldogs myself, Tank and Chunk. They’re my babies! Spoiled rotten!!! Anyway, I ordered a Weirdos Unite t~shirt and I have to say I love it. It fits well and it’s good quality plus it’s just cool. I didn’t know where to leave a review so I’m leaving it here. I also love the stickers that were thrown in! Thanks for the great content! Sending my best!
Grew up near there (post-cassiar closure), way better look at the townsite than I've had personally or seen in other videos!! I gave you a wave at Mez today - was on a time crunch or would've said hi. Safe travels!
It's always a pleasure to follow your channel. Each time it's different, with new and amazing experiences. Even the challenging moments, like when something goes wrong with your camper, are so engaging. It's all fantastic, and it's great that you share it with us and let us experience it alongside you. You're an incredibly adventurous and inspiring person. Greetings from the Netherlands!
❤ I've gone back to watch previous videos. Came across the one with Ashley, unbuilt van. She didn't have social media at that time. I noticed in comments many were asking about her, even now. Original date was Sept 19, 2021 called NO BUILD OUT. Have you heard from her, able to contact her for update? ❤
How many years until Chrome buys a homestead and cabin….with quad, snowmobile, boat gradually upscaling to a light plane…. 🤪😜😇(I give it 4 on the homestead cabin in the back woods). The man has earned whatever dream he follows of course.
Intersting asbestos rock but i would have left that behind. Think of all those suffering with asbestosis as a reult of the dust on 9/11 Jade is beautiful. I am in the uk and i have a tiny piece of Canadian jade my mum bought me in 1981
Hey bro, I started watching about a year ago and finally am able to walk again. i just wanted to tell you how much these videos help me and keep, positive, lol the jade is rad. thanks bro. muchlove bro
Awe BIG HUGS 🤗 glad we couple be a little entertainment for you. ONE STEP AT A TIME BRO.
What a cool family to open their home to you I was so hoping the rock was worth big bucks
Yes, they are very welcoming☀️💛🌻 I also was hoping they had a good piece of jade
Hard to believe that it wasn't worth $$$$$
My great-grandfather died an incredibly painful and awful death of asbestos poisoning or exposure. I guess my great-grandmother sued the company he worked for and won a pretty large settlement but it stopped paying out when she passed away. It's some scary stuff man. Be careful
My father also passed due to asbestos exposure/poisoning

Adam is your brother from another mother! Who would have thought that you'd make such wonderful friends this trip? Love to see you smile like that!

Perspective is everything, and this is an interesting one. I agree with this because seeing him overcome life's obstacles is truly inspiring.
😮Dang savage
Adam is the so chill I'd like to hang out with him.
For me, the most fun about these videos, is Chrome sharing what he learns. His sense of wonder.
Adam thank you for showing us epic places and how cool that gold rush was filmed in the area
Such an Epic Video Chrome, Thank You To Adam & Yourself For Sharing This Adventure...
Something every Van Lifer has said at least once... *" Look @ the cheese coming outta that thing!!!"*
Drone shot of the Quad Adventure will be Amazing!!!!
Chrome, this was a really fascinating video! Thank you to you and your friend for providing it.
I'll watch again. The new title is gonna be a game changer.👍✌️✌️
So very interesting to see this old mining town and past and present day life.
Asbestos is not to be messed with. It is highly toxic if the fibers are breathed in. No exposure is considered acceptable.
Very interesting seeing all of that Jade , something I never knew that was in BC was about the mining of Asbestos and now Jade. Love how you have made so many cool friends along your travels.
Smooches for Cruzie 💋 🐾 🦴
Spray that clearcoat on that asbestos rock soon.... that stuff is no joke. Stay safe❤
Cruz is the cutest little thing you've ever did see. You're talking about adding excitement and he is like not happy. He's all the excitement you need.
Hey Crome huge shout out to Amanda on the fast shipping of my shirts love the van toys ones as well dude they rock
Thanks William!! ✌️
@@Makeitbymandy your welcome
Nice Jade, I am so happy you take us along on your adventures.
I found this interesting. I love rock collecting you never know what you will find.
I heard about Cassiar when I was growing up in N. Van and wondered what it was like. Thanks for sharing this side trip. Wow to think when we were kids in kindergarten they had us make ashtrays for our parents out of asbestos!!
Looks beautiful up there and I believe you have made life long friends!

Your videos make my day! Keep em coming!
Hi, Chrome loving that part of the country. Vancity Vanlife will be more adventurous on a quad. And I know you'll have fun. I waiting for the next chapter on your travels. Rick from Ottawa.✌✌🐾🐾🐾
Another fun one! That jade wasn't fancy but it was still beautiful!

We think that quads would be an awesome addition to the channel. But you gotta know we’re all obsessed with Cruzie!🎉🎉
I enjoyed this video, Loved Cruzie's comment near the end. 😅
Adding a quad does not take away from your vanlife. It will enhance what you already do and therefore allows us to follow along further into the back country. Go for what makes your heart sing. Enjoyed your video.
Collecting rock samples that remind me of where I've enjoyed visiting is one of my weirdo larks.
Please be careful with and around the area with asbestos.
We have one over here in Alabama too 😁🤘
That’s a cool idea 💡
You could take Cruzy's breakfast out before you go to bed and it will be ready first thing in the morning. That is what I do for my Corgy named Gator.
Chrome, you're so lucky.
I wouldn’t have that rock anywhere near me it’s nasty stuff!
Enjoying watching your adventures 👍🍻
I lick it every morning for good luck hahahaha
that oshkosh would make an AWESOME earth roamer for ya when you're retired. it looked like it was in GREAT shape too!!
Such a Beautiful area. One day I'll be able to go.
What a really nice family. I hope they find lots and lots of gold and real jade.
My roommate in grade 11 (boarding school) was from Cassiar. That was back in 1983/84. She loved growing up there and was pretty heartbroken when it closed down.
That is a very cool video. I love rocks and ghost towns! 💚
Cruzy sounds like he's going to hack up a hairball!
Thanks Adam for the informative tour!
Thank you for the ride along. VV’s
That sounds so fun putting something more in can’t wait to see what is next in your journey, whether a quad or something
Another great video, Chrome!! Keep em coming!! Can't wait to see the ATV videos!! Stay safe, my friend V V

Thats still a pretty rock. I'd slab that rock n make a table top out of it. It's beautiful!

Good morning, Chrome and Cruzy.
Amazing jade rock!!!
Dang!!! That's a nice piece of jade. So cool that they are sharing this with all of us. I feel so lucky ❤❤❤❤
I personally dream of doing van life with a dirt oriented yet still street legal dual-sport bike. Get the quad baby! I'll keep watching😁.
I don't want to cause unnecessary concern Chrome, but please put that asbestos mineral/rock in a sealed bag so you don't breathe in the fibres. Licking it isn't really a concern, but breathing the fibres into your lungs can cause irrepairable damage.
What an amazing place. Great subscribers out there. ❤

A quad sounds perfect.
I enjoyed watching Cruzie in the background. He seemed curious who you were talking to at the end lol
My late father in law was a prospector involved in the discovery of the asbestos deposits.
Love you chrome , you should see about putting a camper up at the mine
That green fire truck make a sweet looking rat rod
That's great to going into to see all the shade was great safe travels
Great big hugs right back at you and Cruzie, with thumbs up and love from S. California.

That would be awesome chrome I’ll watch for it when you’re out with your four-wheel-drive. Heck, yeah that would be super cool.👍👍
Oh yes - we were through Jade City last year - have a few pieces of polished jade kicking around
I freakin love the way Cruisey watches the camera with his side eye. OMG he is adorable!!

Not seeing the rubber band around the paper towel! To keep them from blowing away
