The man himself. Love your works.
Right? A lot of the marketing for the movie has already given me BTAS vibes. But this score feels like a love letter to Danny Elfman's Batman 89 and Shirley Walker's BTAS scores. The strings and drums, the creeping tones and frightening brass.
Just watched the film.
When this track played during THAT scene, I just lost it.

The part where this plays in the movie is SO HYPE. Movie was already intense by that point but this just kicks it up a notch
SPOILERS:
I loved how it played right when Batman deployed his grapple hooks from both his arms, shot the two Riddler goons and immediately went to work taking down everyone before they shot any more of the crowd. Gave me huge TDK vibes, when Bale's Batman was rescuing the Joker's hostages.
Entrance was so badass.
I feel like this whole scene was better done than the scene in TDK where he rescues hostages. Felt more at stake and I was able to keep track of the action better, partially because it didn't have the weird 'radar' effect interspersed with the action.
Dude this scene and the Batmobile chase were just on another level. Loved it!
@@galactic85 I agree it was done better but there's something about the flawless Batman that completes superhuman feats without breaking a sweat. This one gets punched kicked hit and shot waaay to often. To be grounded in reality he should be dead or in ICU by then end of the movie
@@Cbreezy510 to be a little bit fair, it was his 2nd year of being a vigilante, so he hasn't refined his tactics and upgraded his gadgets (mostly because he still hasn't meet Lucius). And his fighting style is less refined and flawed because he wasn't trained by the league of assassins (it is insinuated that Alfred was the one who teached Bruce how to fight in the movie). Btw, sorry for my bad english.

1:37 gives off heavy arkham city vibes and it’s freaking incredible!!
1:37 this bit is so beautifully tragic. It conveys a message of sacrifice. There is one man holding up the weight of this disaster looming overhead, so that the citizens, his people, may escape it and survive its impact. To me, it's an absolute masterpiece. Giacchino does so well with conveying emotion in his music, especially in this film. May he go down as an absolute music legend, remembered far beyond our time.

@@toobadsapphire7 it’s hard to explain. there was one point in the film where it slowed down but not really in a bad way. Also I reserve a perfect 10 for a movie that i can enjoy a lot if i rewatch it as many times as I want and I haven’t yet been able to do that for this movie. So it could earn the perfect 10 in the future

Hearing this in IMAX was... Indescribably awesome.
The same for Dolby Atmos. This film's score and sound effects were just incredible and shook your seat.

Yes! That along with Elfman, Zimmer, and Walker’s elements of Batman too. And dare I say it a bit of Batman Forever and Batman and Robin with some of the deeper horns
Man, I haven't been this hyped for a movie since Raimi and Nolan trilogies ended. This movie feels like a big event.

When this music played after all the things Batman went through. I can feel his anger, how tired he is of the Riddler, and all of Arkham Knight players after finding all of Riddler’s 200 trophies
I recently got all the trophies after having the game since release, I am the Batman.
You can feel the horror of batman. To all the batman fans i hope we can enjoy every scene of this movie and call it a masterpiece. Long live the bat

It definitely feels the most "Batman" of the bunch.
Funny how the OG Spider-Man theme(Danny Elfman) is still the definitive theme for Live Action Spider-Man,
But on the flip side, the new Batman theme is the definitive Batman theme.
For me the Elfman score is still the best but this soundtrack is close. It's better than Zimmers Batman score that's for sure.
This whole scene was beautiful:
The view of Selena’s face as Batman falls, the lighting, the music, the wading through water, all of it just so stunning
I got chills when Batman arrives from the ceiling, the timing of the music was so on point
1:20 This shot of Gordon having to beat a path through the flood and panicking crowd really stuck with me.
The film is UNBELIEVABLE ! Best film I've seen in theaters in YEARS ! Hard to choose a favorite scene but the one that this song plays is for sure one of them

Out of the few they've released this really surprised me, it's so heavy and quick with a touch of the Animated Series soundtrack. I know this scene will probably give me chills.

1:38 - 1:54 I can hear that this part is where the entire city is running in fear as the flood takes all of Gotham, creating No Man’s Land
Close but that's the exact moment Selina sees Batman hanging on desperately fighting to save everyone and she decides she can't leave him.
This sounds so menacing. And The fact that this has both Batman and Catwoman’s makes it better

This sounds like an amalgamation of James Horner’s Aliens score, Don Davis’s scores for the three original Matrix movies, Danny Elfman’s scores for Batman and Batman Returns (with a bit of Spider-Man 1 & 2 here and there as well as some of Christopher Young’s Hellraiser and Spider-Man 3 scores), as well as Giacchino’s own Planet of the Apes scores……….as I imagined, The Batman is most likely his magnum opus (to date, anyway).
Definitely feeling the Horner Aliens vibe.

Definitely reminds me of 'Ripley's Rescue' and 'Futile Escape' in Aliens with the intense horns and Ripley blasting xenomorphs left right and center!
I would add Bernard Herrmann into the list of spirits that maestro Giacchino channels in this score.
If this doesn’t get an Oscar nomination for Best Original Score, we riot. It will be an even bigger snub than when Tenet failed to land a nomination for the category.

I think every score represent something. Elfman score tells batman as creature of the night that will attack the criminals. Zimmer tells more about Batman and the broken gotham. Giacchino tells batman as the shadow, the (k)night, the vengeance itself that will show up to catch the criminals
How can this man make something as wonderful as Married Life to the most intense Batman theme?!
If this plays at the scene where Batman and Catwoman are fighting the Riddler's snipers, I'll lose my mind.

At this point of the film, everything was over. However, ‘The Dark Knight’ fell from the top of the dome like a fallen angel but to fight the evil nonetheless. It was absolutely magnificent, one of the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen right there. I almost had a heart attack at that precise moment. Legendary.

2:30 BANG!!! Batman gets hit point blank by a Shotgun and almost falls off the Rafters, hanging on for his life! The first time me and my friend saw this in the theater, I couldn't help but cringe from that shot! That is gonna hurt!
Like a mixture of John Barry, Hans Zimmer, Christopher Drake, Nick Arundel, Elliot Goldenthal, Shirley Walker, Danny Elfman but with a dash of those classic Giacchino chord shifts thrown in there with a pinch of Chopin.
The way I imagine this song is a bunch of thugs are in a room together and the power gets cut and we only see batman in short glimpses as shots get fired as the criminals panic.
In other words the shot in the trailer where Batman is just tanking the machine gun fire like nothing while he’s taking the thugs down

SPOILER: I love that this time Selina saved Batman. At this moment, he was exhausted, he just lied down, suddenly Selina was attacked, he shot himself with something (adrenaline?) and he gained his strength again. Catwoman will always be Batman's weakness and strength.
SPOILER: I think it was a early version of Venom (Bane's little adrenaline shot he likes to take) just becuse its green and he all of the suddently became really strong. Im just guessing not 100% sure

Man I cant not read zero year(the ace chemical raid) without hearing this. In the theater it was freaking nuts, my dad, cousin, and I were creeped out and amazed. There were also people saying "kick they butts batman!"
