All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts and made up of our thoughts. If a person speaks or acts with a good thought, happiness follows them like a shadow that never leaves one. - Dhammapada Ven. Robina nails it, as always.
Apologies for fingers going to fast. Beautiful teacher, skilled in communication and tirelessly helping us to understand THANKYOU very much for this 🙏🏼
Teaching and helping us to take stock and decide to be happy. As only when we are happy we don't hurt, and inflict pain on others but make them happy. Radical practice of cultivating compassion for all living beings, combined with wisdom will be the only way we may not destroy ourselves and others out of fear. Thank you for reminding us, sincere gratitude for demystifying what the Buddha and all past seekers of the truth taught, and yet still we are suffering and inflicting it on others. Humble apologies and much metta.
Dearest Venerable Robina, so what one should do when the wheels are already falling apart? I listened before another lecture when you talk about the same subject and you said meditation is not like pill you'd begin to swallow when '"it's too late'". Does this means those who feel their wheels are already falling apart are totally hopeless cases and shouldn't even try to go back to meditate in order to "try to make things right again"?
I don't know if this answer is relevant now but recently I asked another Ven. Nun a similar question and she said, it's never too late. because unlike a car your mind's base nature is pure and positive. Mind is like the water. Even if it gets polluted, water does not change its nature. It is still water. You only need to learn to filter the filth and process the water. Once you process it, it will be back to the clear water. In the same way, the mind can be polluted by delusions and mental afflictions but it never changes its base nature. This means even the worst of us have hope. Just keep on working and you will one day find a pure and positive mind.
Venerable Robina explains things so very well! Thank you for sharing this!

I am not Robina, but I would guess your “ work “ would just be harder and longer ( if we use an analogy about a car ). Good luck to you.
