My first car was a '75 Eldorado. Jennifer blue w/ blue cabriolet top. Blue Monticello interior. Gift from my father to my mother. She hated it. 3 years and 1,800 miles later it became mine when I started driving. It was fully loaded only lacking fuel injection and an Astro roof. First year for illuminated entry. We can look fondly back now, but in reality that car had more body shims, paint errors, poor assembly, than the close to $14,000 sticker ($80,000 today) it should have had. It was a sled, but I wished I still had it! It was traded for my 1980 Riveria with only 16,000 miles. My father got a new Mark every year. I would say generally at that point, they had a slightly better build quality than Cadillac. BTW, we had a '73 Fleetwood painted a '62 Lincoin (my parent's favorite car and still with us, the Lincoln, not the Caddy) color- Nocturne blue. It had blue Medici inside. Crushed velour everywhere!
Beautiful land yacht with the most ornate and opulent interior imaginable for a mass produced automobile. I can't believe you didn't say anything about that bolster pillow doubling as an arm rest between the front seats, which was the very definition of wretched excess, IMHO. When over-the-top, bordello chic isn't nearly enough, pile on the throw pillows! I've never seen one of these, and I am pea green with envy. Absolutely jaw dropping!

My dad owned a few Caddy's of this era (1974 through 1976), including a '74 Coupe de Ville, a '76 Coupe de Ville, and a '76 Eldorado. OK, here's the secret... the owners manual slides into the slot in the glove compartment door for storage. I bet you didn't know that !
I’m very surprised that with all your comments about how Original and how garage it was that you didn’t show the plastic filler pieces between the back and the rear end. Notice how discolored they are but they are intact.
Those had to be replaced because the 70s plastic cracked. We used the original color. But the color from then and now are slightly different because of the 40 year age difference.

Great find! Would be such a good car for a period film. You'd think a 30 foot boat like that would give the rear passengers more leg room, lol.
