- A giant cinnamon roll is basically equivalent to a warm hug. This one is high in protein and clocks in at just about 350 calories, meaning you can enjoy Cinnabon at home for a fraction of the calories and price ;)
Macros (entire recipe):
354 calories, 23g protein, 33.4g carbs, 13.5g fat
Ingredients:
-38g all purpose flour
-25g @pescience vanilla protein powder (discount code FIT15)
-15g @lakanto brown sugar substitute (discount code FIT15)
-4g baking powder
-30g unsweetened applesauce
-20g light butter/margarine
-3ml vanilla extract
Filling:
-3g cinnamon
-25g brown sugar substitute
-15g light butter/margarine
Frosting:
-25g powdered sugar substitute + 1 tbsp cold water
Directions:
-Preheat the oven to 350F
-Mix the ingredients for the rolls together (might need to use your hands towards the end)
-Grab a cutting board or another flat surface and flour it, then use a rolling pin or a glass or whatever to roll out the dough into a rectangle
-Mix the filling ingredients together, then pour onto the dough and spread it out
-Roll the dough into a log
-Spray a 6.5 inch cast iron skillet with cooking spray, then place the log in it facing upwards, then press it down
-Bake for 15 mins, then mix the powdered sugar substitute with water while that’s baking
-Pour it over the roll, then enjoy ✨
