Thank you! We were trying to go on our trip on Thursday or Friday next week since we will have a rental car those days so fingers crossed we can get a spot!!!
Oh cool! I hope you can too - it looks like the tickets release at 1 minutes after midnight each night, but there were some available at around 7am Hawaii time, and totally sold out by 9 am Hawaii time. Make sure you get up early to make your reservation!
Thank u sooo much for this guide. We have been trying to book for a few days now but no luck. It’s good to see the info on what info we need to fill in in case we get lucky and get a spot.
Of course! I hope you have better luck soon - it's crazy busy recently! You could try and just show up early and see if you can get a spot... but getting up early sucks lol :)
Saturday and Sunday are both sold out now. I’ll check again by next week :) thank you so much for creating this easy to follow vid! Now we just need more availabilities to Hanauma Bay 😆
You guys videos are very helpful and informative. Any tips on renting a kayak to take to China mans hat ? Going solo to Oahu for my first time in 9 days ! Can’t wait !
That's so cool about your upcoming trip! Solo travel is the best travel (don't tell Lisa I said that) Lisa here! Kualoa Ranch used to do a kayak tour from their beach toward Chinaman's Hat (Mokolii Island), so that might a good place to start. There are also several kayak rental spots in the area, like Kama'aina Kayak and Snorkel Eco-Ventures or Kailua Beach Adventures, if you want to rent a little further away and DIY your trip! There are also some sweet twin islands, Mokulua Islands, in Kailua, you can kayak to! There are also some kayak rentals that you can rent from and they will drop off as well, like Hawaii Beach Time.
Thanks for sharing the tip, this is very informative. Do you know when the new schedules get released? Does it change sharp after the clock hits midnight Hawaiian Time? I am on the East Coast, I looked at the site at 8am EST today and realized all the tickets for Sunday were already gone. Trying to figure out how to book my tickets and timing it right since I won't have that many days in Oahu.
That appears to be the case. I woke up at 3 am HST today and all the Sunday tickets were gone. Haven’t stayed up late enough to see if they roll over at midnight, but it does appear so.
🎶 Travel Thursday! 🎵 Yikes! Hanauma Bay is fun but I don't know if it's *Get up at 6am, wait in line and come back later* fun. Glad they at least have some sort of online reservation system now! 🤿🐠
Ha yeah, we also kept coming up with excuses to not get up super early and get our tickets. Now we just get up super early and go on the internet, instead of driving 45 minutes.
Thank you - I was wondering about the number of family members per slot.... I could only find how it works through youguys!
Ty soooo much 🤗
You are so welcome - thanks for watching! :)

@@LisaAndJosh Great thanks for keeping me updated! Is that midnight hawaii time?
Yes, 12:01am HST! Good luck! :)
Thanks from Montreal. We are researching for a future trip and these videos have been great.
You are welcome! Thanks for the kind words, and I hope your trip here is amazing! :)
Its even worse now, it books out within 1 minute the website gets refreshed.
Ah, that’s a bummer to hear!

What’s the best time to reserve? California time please 😭 PST
anytime around 8 am PST :)
@@LisaAndJosh thank you! I tried this morning but I woke up late. I checked around 8:57AM PST 😭 all sold out.
Oh no! They were sold out for the next day or day after!?

@@LisaAndJosh just an update…they have availabilities now! As of today 5/1 @ 9AM PST, Wednesday 5/5 is now available to book! Thank you guys!! ❤️❤️❤️
dang haha i just checked for May 28th but you can only check 2 days in advance
Ha yeah - pretty restrictive for sure. Makes it so that people can’t book it all out forever, since you don’t have to pay in advance.
Only Hawaii would have such a clusterf*ck of a system...
ha - it's not the best booking system out there, that's for sure.
Have a great time there! I was able to get in early one morning in March, granted it was raining. So many fish to see there, I saw a moray eel.
Thank you! I simultaneously hope that we and also don't see a moray eel :) they're so scary looking!

Hi I wanted to confirm is it one ticket per person or per family?
1 ticket per person - so if you have a family of 4, you would need 4 tickets, and the system would need to show 4 as available when you book
