🧗Originally from New Hampshire, In 2017 our youngest daughter asked us to take her on a vacation anywhere that had palm trees. Little did we know, that would start us down a path of travel. In 2022, After 28 years of marriage, Our kids, now grown, ventured out onto their own and left us with an “Empty Nest”. Seizing on an exploding real estate market, we sold EVERYTHING and hit the road in our brand new 2023 Grand Design 22MLE. Our videos serve as a diary and an open window to REAL RV life.

I'm glad that yall came across our feed. Your candor is refreshing!
Haha! Thank you!
We also have a 22mle and honestly that is why I first subscribed to your channel. I wanted to see how well you did in a 22 foot floor plan and the very one we have. We love our 22mle and feel that it is the ideal couples camper and perhaps the best 1/2 ton towable travel trailer out there. I am not into airstreams. We like our 6 gallon water heater and almost never run out of hot water. The only problem with it was the thermal fuse blew at one point but that was an easy fix. Our GE air conditioner on the other hand went out after one year. Warranties are a joke and I replaced it myself with a Furrion chill 15K. So far so good. I also installed Road Armor equalizers and wet bolt kit on the suspension. This helps with some of the vicious pot holes and the road armor does not require that you cut the reinforced hangers like the moryde does. Keep up the good work and let us know other things you like about RV life.
Thank you! I will have to look into the upgrades you made as well. 😀
Great video guys, my wife and I were looking to purchase a grand design 23dle we loved the layout but we ended up trading our 2019 Winnebago 2100bh, yes same as yours! for a 2024 Winnebago 2225rl to start our travel adventures in when we work out the logistics
That’s awesome!
We live in our 22MLE 5 months of the year. We go from AZ to WI for the summer. We have the 2021, so different frig and cabinet handles, so no issue opening that one side cabinet. I took a blow dryer and removed those stickers by the microwave and put them inside the cabinet on the other side by the frig. Super easy to remove. Got sick of staring at them 😂. Great video!!
Thank You so much for the tip! A year later and we are still looking at those silly stickers
Loved the grand tour. ❤ Just reinforced our preference for fiberglass trailers. Glad to know your troubles aren't as bad as others.
Definitely has not been a terrible experience overall. We will cover hiccups in an upcoming video
Nice rig that you did a good job on with the modifications and homey touches. FYI-I have watched videos where people have paid 300,00.00 + and still have many of the workmanship complaints you have...and more! With all the RV living videos out there it really surprises me that some manufacturer won't think it through to make a nice looking, affordable, well appointed rig that doesn't have the usual complaints. Thanks for sharing!
It is crazy how little attention they give to consumers
Good job guys and good reviews on Blind view. Haaa
Yeah we caught that. We are working with him an an upcoming project after the first of the year - should be rather interesting
Glad to be a subscriber. Congrats on your 10,000th!
Thank you! We are happy you’re enjoying!
Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers. We've been following you for a while on our personal accounts, but just started our travel RUclips channel today and subscribed on it. We always enjoy you content and perspective on things. I'm sure you'll be at 20l before you know it.
Thank you and congrats on the travel channel! We will check it out 😀
I’d like to know how you managed to leave behind “nosey neighbors and politics” when switching to rv life:) we seem to see much of that still on our RV adventures! I’m with you on the non adjustable rv shelves being really irritating. You have a nice rig.
Happy Holidays
Ah small town politics - this was our favorite part to leave behind. While politics are everywhere, we are no longer affected by choices that are made by one family controlling an entire town. If we don’t like the politics of an area - we now just don’t go there 😀
As for neighbors - that is the same, we still get them BUT if they annoy us, we can leave lol. The moment we realized that we can leave whenever we come across something we don’t like - it was that Ah Ha moment. We honestly though have ever left somewhere early twice in over a year.
Happy holidays to you as well!
New subscriber. Enjoying your videos.
We are full timers since October and Camp Host for Army Corps Engineers Campground in Florida since end of May. We started out in a 20' GeoPro and upgrading to a 38' A Class when we went full time.
Some of the things you showed and mention can and should be considered while considering full timing.
Thank you for the kind words! Camp hosting seems like it could be a lot of fun- been thinking about doing this at some point.
Congrats on going full time!
Try asking Helix they sponsor a lot of RUclipsrs
We tend to go the opposite direction of most RUclipsrs lol
Love the video. Always good entertainment and your humor is great! Also, I'm a recent full-timer and traveling remodeler/mobil RV tech. I'm just wrapping up my Remodel/Modifications on my own "home". I have my temporary shop set up all around me, which looks more like a scene in an episode of Dexter😬 I'll be heading to AZ around Jan 6th. Could make a stop and drop off a custom table 😉(hint, hint) I'll send ya an email about your table.
Appreciate the offer but quite a drive from AZ to Florida 🤣
@liferedesigned oh.. you guys are in FL!? Thought you guys were still in TX that would've made more sense😃 oh well. I'll still send ya an email with some pics of my work for future reference 😉👍
Oh.. and BTW I'm up in MN. So I'll be coming down the 35 route
I am envious of having a shop lol. Yeah we left Texas a couple of weeks ago - we delay our videos a couple of weeks just for safety. Every so often we sneak one out in real time but have heard too many crazy stories 🤣🤣
We're glad you drink the Nomadic Kool-Aid when you did and thank you for sharing. Going on six years now as a Nomad/RV Dwellers and counting. The only nosy neighbors we had have are wild life. We love those nosy neighbors who was here first in the wilderness. Stay safe and happy travels!🐿🐢🦎🦇🦋🦂🐜🌵🏕🏜
haha Table, redesigned...
🚫🍍🤣🤣🤣🤣 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏾👏🏾👏👏
🤣🤣🤣🤣
With you being full time, have you had warranty issues because you are full time, and them not wanting to honor it? Thanks, love the content. Appreciate you both.
Absolutely no push back due to our full time status. That said, we usually just request parts and take care of the install ourselves. I am quite sure that helps tremendously 😀
Are you still eating popcorn on the diet? They are carbohydrates 😢. When you get stuck, consider the popcorn. I miss the popcorn too.
All depends on the mood of the week. When we do have it, it is the only form of carbs we are having.
We have become more calorie conscious than anything else at this point. We love to shake things up 🤣
Hi Bob and Kari. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… you two are a breath of fresh air in the RV video world. Keep it up. And yeah, I think it’s a pretty damn nice home you have there. 👍
Thank you for the kind words - really appreciate it 😀

Thank you for the tour, we looked at that layout before we went with the 22RBE, both are great couple trailers. Can I ask how the sound bar behind the TV works out for you, as I am trying to find a place for one in ours.
That 22RBE is a great trailer as well! The Sony soundbar works fantastic for us - I can blast Karri right of the theater seats while watching Die Hard!
we were nickel and diming our 2022 2970 RL, and had so much more we wanted to do to make it easy so we decided to sell it and buy a motorhome. I could see it wasn’t going to wear well because the low quality carpet was already matted in front of my husband‘s recliner. I will miss the island with the 6 drawers and the big pantry though.
Hey hey hey now, it’s a Bucees candle. 😂 no hatin on Bucees anything. How about them beaver nuggets?
Beaver nuggets rock! Candles sadly not so much - it’s okay though we still love Buc-ees!
I love how you both keep it real. It's a rare thing these days. As far as sponsorships go. I don't mind them as long as they are not two minutes of commercial for a company. Watch Casey Ladelle a towing guy out of bend Oregon. I really like how he thinks about sponsorships. He's not against them but shows how way to many youtubers do them underhanded. So while not against them as long as they aren't just a long commercial. May you enjoy the holidays and have a great but safe 2024.
Throwing shade at TCL TV's, Come on man, TCL tv's are great. Not everyone can afford those expensive 16k TV's like y'all big timers, LOL.
Ha, says the guy whose rig seats 58 on the sofa and probably has 7 tv’s lol.
Seriously though, ours was terrible and extremely slow, plus that 4k picture is perfect for watching reruns of Knight Rider!
@@liferedesigned When we had a house we aimed to only have 1 tv. We bought an RV that came with 4 TVs. I'm very proud of our girls, they hardly ever use the TV in their bedroom. I bet the Knight Industry Two Thousand looks amazing in 4k.
Another great video and realistic tour. We just had a travel nurse friend look in our rv yesterday and comment how he could never live in such a small space. He has a 45 ft fifth wheel, and we live happily in our 23 ft winnebago minnie 2201ds. 2 things I did early living full time in an rv and watching your videos was a real toilet seat and the roof fan. Absolute game changer. Have a great week!
It really is the little things! That toilet seat for the win!
Ummm meat and bacon are the same thing. hahahaha and "Sometimes I can see someone dumping their black tank" hahaha Omg you two are so funny! and she cowers behind you even though we KNOW she runs the show! hehehehe
In this house Meat and Bacon are separate 🤣🤣 Bacon is a condiment, a side dish and even a desert 🤣🤣
@@liferedesigned HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Umm OKAY!! giggling hard
OMG You tow CRACK ME UP!!!!!!!!!!!
Next time try a Rockwood MiniLite love my 2507s 😎👌
Get yourself a topper for the mattress...Huge improvement.
Great channel! We part time in a Cougar 22RBS which is similar. If you want a snuggle seat realize that the recliners are modular and the center console can be removed and the two seats joined together. The wiring probably came loose under the seats leading to the failures. Easy fix. Happy Camping! Mel.
Wish it was as simple as loose wiring but has been determined that the internals need to be replaced
What's a "Beddies"?
A zip together bed system. Kind of like a big sleeping bag that attached to your mattress- no more making a bed!
@@liferedesigned OH! How cool! That sounds great!
Thanks for telling me. :)
We have the same model, bought it in 2021its a 2022. The only issues I've had was the small chrome strips in the wood coming loose. A little wood took care of that. The only other thing is the drain on the water heater. That leaked from the time we got it. Plastic cap...really? Well, a trip to home Depot, a faucet and short nipple, no problem. I have a short hose that I hook to it and run it right down the sewer hose. Enjoyed your video. There's just nothing like having your own bed every night.
Well said! All in all it is a great RV
Enjoyed, Humphrey
I heard good things about Brooklyn bedding for rvs and campers . Their in arizona. You might check them out.
Yeah - too much $$$ for me. We have heard quite a bit of negative feedback from people that have actually bought them.
Purple mattress seems to be where we are heading … maybe 🤣🤣
I plan to work in the RV, just as you do. I have been looking at 2nd kid bedrooms and Toy Haulers so that I could still have an office. Sitting in the main area just seems distracting, and problematic with creating videos. If you were to buy again, would you consider a private work area?
For us, no - we love the layout and enjoy working near each other. The size of our rig and staying small is also important for us.
It really comes down to personal comfort.
There are times though that I would mind having the toy hauler with the deck on the back just to roll a desk outside and work lol
@@liferedesigned Oh, my... you just gave me another idea. Desk with wheels to the outside. I think you just made a Toy Hauler sale.
Greetings from Ontario, Canada. Great job on the curtains, Karri! Love your videos. Keep them coming. 💛
Thank you 😀
You guys have a nice RV. Thanks for showing us. 😊
Thank you for watching - we love Humphrey and are happy to share!
I hate the theater seats. I’m convinced the men designing these RVs, don’t like their wives or kids. Lol
That is next on our list to replace. Cuddle time is important!
Thanks for the tour of your home. Home is where you park it. Looks comfy!!!!!
Thank you! We love Humphrey!
Funny enough, we just got (another, sigh) new, non-sponsored $600 mattress today. 😅
Our same sofa broke too - heating pad on left side no longer works, even after the invasive surgery replacement I did. Check out the one from Lippert called the "Thomas Payne Seismic Series Theater Seating Loveseat Set - Norlina". People seem to like that one and it's on our short list as well.
And, yes, Kari's hair looks great, as usual!
Wow that looks amazing but idk about buying anything from Lippert. Will have to give this some thought!
I wonder if Purple mattress would be worth it? lol maybe they will sponsor us!
PS. Karri said thank you!
@@liferedesigned - Fair point about Lippert. And, also funny enough, my cousin here last night told us they have the Purple mattress and love it! Unfortunately we already bought our genetic and was due for delivery today. Rats!
That purple mattress was the reason for the Rooms To Go comment in that video 🤣🤣
@@liferedesigned - ah, ha! Now I know what Room to Go is, as explained by my wife this morning. All these fancy places down south.
🤗🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤❤
We were close to buying the MLE, but we had to have a door for those times you might have a small disagreement lol. We have the Imagine 2600 RB. The bathroom is what sold us on it. Elvis has left the building!!!
The 2600RB was on our short list but we couldn’t do it with the truck we had at the time. That is such a great floor plan!
@@liferedesigned 🍩🍩🍩🥛🥛
Good evening Mr. Bob Mrs. Karri.
Good evening!
I love all of your videos. I love the way you two interact and reminds me of my husband and I.
Thank you very much!
@@liferedesigned how hard was the vent fan to replace? The GD camper we are purchasing next year has three of them and I would very much like to replace all three fans.
They weren’t hard at all. I think the hardest part was lining up the screw holes.
The best part is that they are so easy to clean.
@@liferedesigned are they the ones in your Amazon store? They look pretty easy to do. I wish GD out in bigger fans when they build them. We plan on camping without electricity several times per year at NASCAR races and they will come in handy. Thanks!!
Yes, they are from Heng. Worked flawlessly since install. 😀
Nice rig!👍
Thank you!
