Sandy Duncan was so perfect in that part. Her voice is so loving, sweet and sincere.
This character has always been the one to cheer me up on my down times. No wonder she’s such a great character! 🦊 #LoveYouVixey

I love how someone actors and actresses use their own voices instead of having to distort their voice sandy duncan's voice is so sweet, adorable, and pleasant. The fox and the hound will always be my favorite disney movie.
I saw “The Fox and the Hound” at the movies in the 1980s. It has always been one of my favourite Disney movies. Sandy Duncan is an excellent actress as well, I absolutely loved her as Aunt Sandy on “The Hogan Family” (formerly “Valerie”).
I just know we're from the Hogan Family. I didn't know she was The Voice in Fox and the Hound. I didn't know Mickey Rooney and Kurt Russell work you voices. Fun to find out stuff like this

Let me tell you, the first time I laid eyes on Vixey, my heart went "THUMP,THUMP,THUMP", and I've really loved this character. The fox and the Hound is my all-time favorite Disney classic and I want to see a CGI-Live Action remake, with all the characters retaining their original 1981 look while having realistic fur and hair, I mean look at the tod plush and you'll get the idea.
Nah, Modern Disney would screw it up again like they did with several of the other live-action remakes and make a crappier version of a classic. We'll always have the originals to look back on.

@@BenSchubert1995 Live-action films are made only for an easy cash grab. All you have to do is hope that nostalgic adults are gonna come with their children and bring you money. Disney doesn't even have to create anything, everything is made, except for graphics. And even more, live-action versions are worse than originals
As a child this was my favorite Disney movie. Come to realize my mom said she’s my 4th cousin and my grandmother knew her well . One day I hope to meet her ☺️

Vixey was one of my favorite characters from the movie even though she was there for the last 20 minutes, it was the love between her and Tod that kept bringing back to watching the movie, she's sweet, caring, adventurous, funny, thoughtful, and romantic, she helped Tod get used to his new life in the forest and serve as moderation, and sat by Tod's side at the last scene in the movie looking down at Tod's former home, and Copper. I wonder what Disney will do with this for the Disney Plus exclusive live-action The Fox and the Hound remake which is still in the early stages of development right now, and what changes that needed to be done, I hope they will make a new song which will be a duet between her and Tod, and we will see some backstory to her, Tod, and Copper, but we will see. And did you know that Tim Burton worked as an animator on Vixey? From what I found out from the Disney Wiki he didn't like the assignment because he felt it was too dull for him. I think that Tod and Vixey are the cutest Disney Couples out there even though they did had a rough start at first because of the fishing part but as least Big Mama was there being a wise owl that she is, and being a voice of reason when it comes to looking out for her friends especially Tod. And Sandy Duncan did the part well, and Mickey Rooney may he rest in peace.
Do u know why she wasn’t in the second fox and the hound? Bc it’s gonna just out there for tod and vixey to have a family. I believe the 3rd one should be based off of that. If they make a third one.
@@caseaddison982 News flash, they're not. The spin-off studio Disney Toon Studios that made all of those Direct-To-Video Disney Sequels closed down back in 2015 and stopped making them since 2007.
Knowing Disney's terrible track-record with all of their bad live-action remakes I'm pretty sure they're gonna screw it up again per-usual. But Sandy Duncan was so naturally cute & precious as Vixey! Don't you just want to pet her and comfort her during that scene where Amos Slade & Copper trapped them in the borrow and set it on fire where she said "Todd, [coughs] We're Trapped! Todd I'm Scared!" I desperately didn't want anything bad to happen to her in that scene and Todd being the good Boyfriend he is protected Vixey with all his heart.
I love that she also mentioned her time on the Barney show, when she played the mom in the early direct to video episodes.

Sandy has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. It's wonderful that some one put this up. Great memories.
This was my favorite movie while growing up from being born in 1990. I cried when something happened to todd as copper was his best friend.

I just heard about it when I just got The Fox and the Hound (1981) on the 2000 DVD.
Sandy...I'm years late...dammit.. .the bank commercial...."have you checked your shoe?" or something to that effect...we fell in love with Sandy Duncan...all of us...in an instant. I will never forget it.

Sandy Duncan. Cool. Just watched some RUclips videos on old commercials and saw her in a week then commercial. Brought back some memories. She was pretty cool. I just know her from the Hogan Family really and those commercials. Didn't know she did The Fox and the Hound. Funny to find out things like that

Why wasn’t vixey in the second fox and the hound? That’s what I’m wondering. Was she just a one time character for the first movie?
The "2nd movie" wasn't even a Sequel at all, Rather it was a midquel/in-between-er type of movie. [Which the 2nd one feels like unnecessary padding and filler] Todd obviously hasn't met Vixey yet until when he and Copper were separated for the entire fall & winter season and when they meet again next Spring as Young Adults and when Widow Tweed had to let Todd go into the Forest is where Big Mama decided to ship Todd with Vixey. But I think a better question would be "Where's Big Mama, Dinky & Boomer in the 2nd movie!?" Like Man, Disney Toon Studios really half-assed The Fox & The Hound 2 behind the scenes with very little to no thought put into it leaving it with so many plot-holes, retcons, continuity errors & inconsistencies to The 1st movie.

@@caseaddison982 Like I said, a 3rd movie is not going to happen since Disneytoon Studios closed down back in 2018 and they've stopped making direct-to-video sequels since John Lasseter pulled the plug on them from making anymore sequels to any popular Disney movie from the main studio ever again around 2008. when John said "that he disliked Disneytoon undercutting the value of the feature animated films with the sequels, midquels and prequels."
And with input from Ed Catmull and Lasseter. As chief creative officer, At Disneytoon Studios Lasseter called for the cancellation of all future films in production or development at Disneytoon Studios. As a result, planned or in-progress sequels to Dumbo (1941), Chicken Little (2005), Meet the Robinsons (2007), Pinocchio (1940), and The Aristocats (1970) were all cancelled, among other projects.

I’ve just completed a viewer’s tour of assorted cable and
broadcast networks that once specialized in news gathering and programing, both
locally and nationally, am appalled by what I found, and that nobody is as
outraged as me by the seemingly trashy exploitation of blond dye head women as
dance hall girls as if of the old west, and women of color in straight haired wigs pushing
drinks to dull the senses, along with gun slinging dye head males playing the
part of lonesome teenagers well into their fifties and sixties. I once called
such displays as the new ‘show business’, but its much worse than that, its dam
right scandalous that seem to be fueled by marketing dollars and not the want
of a true calling of excellence in journalism, concluding with the plea, Lord,
deliver us from this evil of ‘appearance journalism’ and send us home to be free
back in your loving arms of news and integrity, we seemed to have lost our way…
