Nitpick from me but I think the play animation on Carress is underwhelming... For such a colorful and rainbowey card you just get a little firework when you play it... I was expected a lot more honestly
These cards are so boring! It's basically spell school mage from TITANS and the legendary is just the mage legendary naga which reacted to fire, arcane and frost spells.
It's probably my meme dream, but Shaman now has a ton of cards that create boards. Razzle-Dazzler, Pack the House, and Shudderblock + Growfin are all solid big boards. There's even the new neutral Gorgonzormu. Wish Upon a Star also pairs nicely. With all the different control tools for Shaman out there, it seems like a mid-late game Shaman deck could be forming. I'll 100% be experimenting with something even if it's bad!
Not gonna happen, mage has a similar spell that see's no play and has far more consistent and better outcomes. 4-5's with a random effect are far better on average than a random 5 drop. It's too slow to matter vs aggro and the only slow deck is warrior who can deal with boards like that easily and will still beat you with boomboss or OTK.

Also, most 5 drops these days actually have things like Rush or some Deathrattle for extra value. Siren Song... I can see it almost always giving one of the crappy Holy spells like Spotlight, Inventor's Aura or Boogie Down that your deck just can't use... Legendary feels very similar to Lady Naz'jar with the whole "Transform based on spells cast". Though it feels more reliant on generating random spells given that out of the 3 schools that Shaman typically has access to (Fire, Nature, Frost) their effect seems underwhelming outside of Fire. I suppose a DK could use Frost to activate their freeze synergy... P.s. I'm sad that we didn't get a new Moorabi as the Shaman Legendary, especially with the aforementioned Frost DK and Freeze synergies it contains...
@@mariusschumann4071 If Moorabi was the tourist, it wouldn't be the same. Since DK wouldn't be able to use him and also his mechanics would be aligned with DH so there wouldn't be Freeze synergy.
Cabaretti is fantastic, but the 7 mana card is like the big mage spell, and I don’t think it will be good enough to play full rainbow like with sif. Shaman needs something cost efficient that scales with spells schools like their naga from sunken city or something that scales strong into late game like sif.
I’m down to see how the tourist plays out. But if it becomes the only expansion to do so it feels very difficult to stand by because there’s only 10 cards you can access from another class am I right ? And just the one class at that
As a shaman guy overall the cards are just kind of okay. I was actually pretty excited by the cards in the previous sets overall and so this one is just kind of meh for me
the "draw 2 cards" i can bet is only a "not use it shuddelwork" block thing. Also that you dont can play it in the infinity shuddelwork deck. Edit: I see already thati make a misstake. I was thinking the "draw 2 cards" effect is his "basic" effect and the second effect is the one that happen depent on the speel school. But this is the arcane effect.

Shudder shamans are insane, they put almost every battlecry in their deck, I saw a shaman with all tech card, I saw a shaman who played most unhinged and bad battlecry minions ever existed. They are insane! This card is good, maybe they would change elf archer on that card, if they are smart enough....

Pack the house never saw any consistent play in any sort of meta deck. Mage does have a similar 7 cost spell that did see play and was pretty good for a while but it see's 0 play now. The mage spell is better than this and it see's no play now so it's safe to assume razzle dazzle will see no play either. It's too slow against the current meta decks and the 1 slow deck is reno warrior who can remove boards like that easily.
Them Caress would never transformation. You need 2 different spell schools for the card to transform. That being said, fire and arcane could help close out games, or fire and shadow to keep the pressure going.
I can totally see Carress to be in Control/Reno DK. DK has only access to Shadow, Frost and maybe Holy but those gives you some juicy control options from Carress. Razzle-Dazzler is not really that big of a deal for Shaman and DK. DK lacks the spell shools so the synergy with Buttons dont matter that much and I dont know if 3 random 5mana minions and a 4/4 is good enough.
I think control / tempo shaman is going to be insane, if agro decks isnt too crazy. With some return to hand effects it's gona be really fun. Sad there isnt Target draw fo the legendary
Feel for the legendary you'll have to consistently get a shadow/fel spell with it to make it worth it, the other effects vary from ok to garbage (heal 6)
Yeah, especially the healing, as healing should give u more than damage in conparison to mana cost, like it was nearly every time before, i would suggest at least 8 heal, or 6 on all firendly characters
Shaman has "Incredible Value" (3 mana shadow spell) and if you're using Razzle Dazzle in DK via the tourist, nearly every DK spell with a school is shadow or frost.
In order to make the tittle more clickbait than it is you should add 7 mana 64/64 with rush??!!??!??!?!??!?

Absolutely hate this archetype for Shaman. Shaman needs a lot of help and these are all just "decent" cards but with no clear win-con route.

These cards all look really slow for what they offer, and I’m expecting the meta will be hyper aggressive for a while. Shaman is going to need buffs.

Destroy 2 are insane value too. But for Shudderwock Inwould still use Astalor only lol. I don't play shaman tbh
Shudderwock doesn't really play spells, doubt they'd include a heavily conditional card when other cards can do similar effects

honestly razzle-dazzler should work in my weird spell school evolve shaman in wild still think itll be too slow but more options are welcome.
So the problem I see with this reveal..... Why is shaman getting good mage cards while mage is getting consistent crap.
Why are we giving classes access to archetypes that never used them before when there are forgotten ones from previous expansions.
