    Hi, I am interested in purchasing the Wrap-A-Lock tools. I know, 20 tools come in one pack, but I just wanted to know, how many packs in total did you purchase?

    • @ibyl
      @ibyl  8 лет назад +1

      Hey Paula! Initially I purchased 2 packs. I had to load a lot of locs on each tool to do my whole head. This made bigger looser spirals. I bought two more packs. The last time I curled my locs around Thanksgiving I used 74 tools. That's a total of 3 packs. I was able to put less locs on a tool and create smaller tighter spirals. I have about 429 Sisterlocks. So it took 3 packs for smaller tighter spirals. Check out the video I posted in November for how the curls came out. :-) Let me know if you have any more questions. There's a referral link in the information box when ready to purchase.

      ibyl dang if you used 3 packs to achieve this look it's going to mean that I am going to have to purchase like 7 packs. 😲 I have 700 SL

      Maybe not that many. Start with 4 or 5 packs and see how it works. I think your individual locs are much smaller than mine so you should be able to put more locs on a tool before it becomes bulky.

    How would you compare wrapaloc to pipe cleaners? Your vids are the first I've learned about the tools.

    • @ibyl
      @ibyl  10 лет назад +1

      lhamilt Good question! I recently found out about them myself, as of June. It creates an elongated curl. My experience with the pipe cleaners is you have to wait till the curl drops. The wrapaloc is sturdier and safer. I don't have to worry about the tool possibly cutting into my small locs. i like that I can keep them in for over a week and style them with no worries of the tool becoming tangled. I like that it provides uniform results. It creates a perfect spiral! Let me know if you have any other questions. Check out the giveaway if you're interested in trying them.

    couldn't you get the same results from pipecleaners?

    • @ibyl
      @ibyl  7 лет назад +3

      +Elyse ElyseElyse Hey, I have actually used pipe cleaners before hearing about Wrapaloc. The results were similar, but it's the possibility of fuzzies from the pipe cleaners coming into the Loc and also the sharp part of the pipe cleaners could cut into the Loc. I think Wrapaloc tools are safer for the Loc, can keep them in longer, and I was able to produce a more uniform spirals.

      @@ibyl I totally agree! I've used pipe cleaners twice before and both times during the take down my small locs became tangled around the pipe cleaner. I just ordered my wrapaloc tool so I cannot wait to get them!!

      You will love them! I got mine in 2014 and they are still like brand new. I’ve recently been thinking about putting my locs into some curls.

      ibyl that was going to be my next question! Good to know they will last a long time!
