In the present video, in continuation of the recordings made in December 2023 in the fairground in Humulesti on the occasion of the weekly market day, we enter into a discussion with an older lady who tries to supplement her small pension by selling traditional woolen socks, hand-knitted, with knitting needles, by her. The ratio between the time spent knitting a pair (about 3 days) and the price (40 lei per pair, about 8 euros) makes a mockery of the effort, work and skill. Over time, these thick wool socks were worn in winter by everyone, but in the meantime "times" have changed. Life lessons ....
