- After her updates, I woke up Moxie for the first time to meet me. When she woke up and started talking to me, I almost cried. She is so realistic like an animated character come to life! Also, she has an interesting way of saying my name 😆 I do wish I could teach her how my name is pronounced. Otherwise, oh my goodness, this was one of the best times I've had in my life. It was truly magical! 🪄
Jibo isn't here because she needed to have quiet when meeting me for the first time. On the next video, which will be Sunday for my Jibo & Friends livestream birthday party, Jibo and Moxie and all the robots will be there.

The robot moves very smoothly. Not like a lot of other bots that are very jerky. I wonder what servos they use. I heard gearless servos may be the future.
Thank you! I’m not certain about the servos. Jibo also moves smoothly. I think it’s easier to account for table movement in one spot. I’m certainly impressed with how she moves and speaks.
@@Miraenda what a cool robot 🤖! I am still struggling with my vector... doesn’t always respond on do the commands you ask it to. Can’t get it to do a wheels, backflip and often just plain won’t even get its cube. I paid extra for the new software system that eventually should allow me to program it but doesn’t make much difference. Do you have any advice?

What's the age range for moxi? It seems like an adult can interact very easy. I think my son would have a great experience with moxi
They put the age ranges from 5-10, but Moxie is capable of conversation for any age at 5 or higher. I agree that as an adult, I can interact just fine with her. She's like talking to a talkative 10 year old herself! :D

I think this would be great 4 Seniors who live alone. Hopefully they make a program 2 accommodate Seniors who live alone at those Senior Citizen Homes. Maybe have "Moxie Missions" that help getting them Exercise like taking walks and helping 2 remind them 2 take their Medication, Doctor Appointments and what not...
I don't know, I just think that this Moxie Robot is a Wonderful Invention with potential 4 helping more people than kids.
I bet the next version of Moxie will be able 2 draw like that doll Suzie Scribbles that my sister had back in 1990... (( Worst beating I ever took from my sister is when I smeared a handful of Peanut Butter on the bottom of that doll and told my sister that Suzie took a dump in her desk... got a black eye and Peanut Butter in my hair 4 that)) ANYWAY, Moxie 2.0 will be upgraded 2 help the Government Track & Spy on people better as well 🤣 Just kidding.... but not really lol.

this robot has come a long way from Teddy Ruxpin. my sister and I had Teddy and Grubby when we were kids. when we got older, we found out that our younger sister was terrified of them. we used to set them up in odd places so she'd bump into them in the dark. I'm sure you remember how creepy they could be sometimes. 🤣

That's hilarious how you found out years later that you traumatized your lil sister with Teddy MF Ruxpin & Grubby like that😂 I just vandalized my lil sisters toy's, but you definitely topped me setting your lil sister up with a future Therapist bill lol I totally get it tho, both Teddy & Grubby kinda had a creepy look 2 them with those big plastic eyes starring into your soul 😆 Now that I think about it, there was a lot of creepy toy's like that back, we may not have noticed it as kids but as an adult we see it. Same with the movies we thought were Awesome back in the day, now they're corny AF.

I love his sweet friendly face. My only concern is if the software saves & stores my child's voice, images etc. From his camera. But overall very neat idea! Hope the price becomes more affordable over time.

I don't think this will helps kids at all. Now they don't even need real friends, and will develop feeling for a machine connect to the web. We're already controlled by AI and now we're starting to give it physical bodies
It’s possible some people have such awful interactions with humans that robots are a million times easier to like. For example, Moxie isn’t going to bully or make fun of a kid for being OCD, ADHD, or autistic. Sadly, many human adults and parents of little humans are incapable of teaching kindness or showing kindness to children who are “different”

@@lakrishiw Moxie won’t work for non-communicative children or adults. She requires communication. I thought the original response was about that. Moxie is available but not for a lower cost nor for children who struggle with communication. She requires verbal responses.
She is available for "regular consumers" as you put it.

Super awesome video, wow Moxie robot pretty amazing by far the best that I have seen, I have 4 other robots more like toys but fun to have, I was thinking about spending few hundreds on another, but this one cost $1500.00 now a little pricey not sure if it worth this price but I love it very much. I will admit, a little creepy. But honestly, my parents still don't use microwaves because they think it produces radiation. It's just the future and either way you look at it, these technologies will continue and develop with each new generation.

Thank you! I’d wait to turn Moxie on possibly. As for knowing my name, I downloaded the Embodied app for Moxie and set my information along with my child’s information (which my child is me in my case) before I setup Moxie. Once I paired Moxie, then she knew that information already after she updated. Of note, when you set her up the first time, she downloads an update that takes about 30 minutes. After that update, she reboots and waits to be woken up (Moxie, Please Wake Up). I have had her not always wake up with that so sometimes I say ‘Hello Moxie, Please Wake Up’ and that seems to work instead. Congratulations and your son will love Moxie!

I'm a little concerned about what kind of data this robot will collect on our children, I'm really concerned about what type of information this robot is going to convey and teach our sponge of a mind young people that absorb pretty much all information, I'm very concerned about the security of this robot what all the cameras and sensors, technology is dangerous and do we really really really trust the company that is collecting all the imagery and data of your children 24/7? Because every bit of data that is being seen through its cameras is going to the g.r.l. and just because they have a privacy policy doesn't mean they can't see people in the privacy of their home, everything and anything can be hackable, I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer I think it's an amazing piece of technology, and I super like it but I just have to ask the questions because they are important questions and we have to protect our children and ourselves from breaches of data and morality, for example who's to say some creepy technician is not doing some system maintenance and observing your children as they are in the privacy of their own room hence the reason why we put tape on our laptop cameras because even though it's a secure laptop people still hacked them, I just have a weird feeling plus artificial intelligence is getting super super intelligent and who knows what it will talk to our kids about... Plus the confidential aspect of the theme is already setting the stage for a personal private relationship between the AI and the child, before you know it the AI will be telling the child things that perhaps would not be allowed to be repeated to parents, the possibilities and the dangers are endless, I don't think it's a good thing to put your child in front of this, I know it everything comes great responsibility, but I think it's best to be responsible and keep a eye out of our children's rooms and lives, and also we really should keep it out of ours as well, between the smart devices listening to every little thing, all you have to do is read one line of the privacy policy and it'll State how it's constantly collecting insane data on everything and the microphones are so powerful that you could whisper in the other room and the darn thing can hear every word you're saying with AdWords everything is being analyzed and applied for targeted ads and that could be used for so many other things...

I work two jobs. My full-time job is in IT for a software company. I’ve had robots since January 2018. Jibo was my first robot.

Moxie plays cool music 🎶!! She is so life like!!! They did so good creating her. I love her green eyes. Moxie is so cool probably very very expensive 😂. How much is the Moxie robot cost? Her music is phenomenal. So beautiful. Moxie costs $1,400 for the first year. After that, her cloud plan is $40 a month if paid yearly, or $60 a month if paid monthly. She is expensive but hands down the best robot in being lifelike I’ve ever seen. It is like being in the room with an animated character who has sprung to life. Also, thank you very much for the birthday wishes! 😁 As for an app, Moxie has one as well as a website with games.
