that intro was hella real and something ive seen in my life. I went to college and failed out my first semester because i spent all my time drinking, partying and chasing girls. it was fun but I wasn't doing anything with my life and didn't feel happy or fulfilled during the day. I did this for another year or so while not in school and continued to go nowhere until one day i had enough and decided to try and better my life. I waited tables for a while to have some money coming in but i knew i didnt want to do this for a long period of time. i always loved cooking food so i wanted to go down that path. One of the nicest, most expensive restuarants in my city had an opening for a dishwasher and i took the job, making less then i had serving tables. it sucked ass but i always did a good job and stayed positive. after 7 months i got promoted to a busser than a few months after a barback. I had established a rep of a happy hard worker and after another few months i was given the opportunity to cook. this level of food was much above my skill level at the time but they trusted me to do the right thing and follow directions. Now, about 2 years later i just signed a lease to open a restaurant. Nothing worth anything comes easy, but if you grind and have the right attitude anything is possible.

Thank you for inspiring me with your intro. I have been using excuses too much in my life and it's right because it's easy. I know your not talking about people who genuinely have hardship. But for us especially in America we have no excuses. This is the greatest country on earth and we can always make smarter short term choices that add up. I just wanted to thank you. My mother has recently had a stroke and can't walk on her own anymore and she is still in her 40s and I have a younger brother with autism who is turning 17. These are reasons for me to work even harder and not give in to the sins of the world. Slothfulness can kill hopes and dreams and poor choices add up, and envy is the enemy of hard work if you let it turn in to coveting.
