These barre chords are challenging, but this series helps so much! And the Siamese cat in the background just made my day.

I am glad, and surprised, that the outside-of-the-finger technique I was using when I tried these on my own is expert-approved!
I'm a beginner who's a big fan of barre chords so far. They take finger strength for sure, but I find them fun and somehow "easier" than a lot of three-finger chords that use several different frets.

This series is putting hair on my teeth but I'm glad I'm working through it. Barre chords have been a huge wall to my progression.

I love learning with you Kevin!
The 4 beats "compress-release" technique may seem boring, but is really great for "crushing correctly" all the difficult chords and making the position more automatic. At least for me.
And yes! slightly swivel his index allows me to have much less problems of muted strings.
    Merci beaucoup! La petite française.

I really liked this lesson, Kevin. There was a lot to sink my teeth into: the barre chord, the strumming pattern, and the chord progression were all fun. Thanks for another great lesson!

Kevin, I'm now on Day 3. I wanna thank you, I will always thank you. Bm and B7 are easier for me because I had already known them and played some songs with them. Laying all my fingers at the same is not too difficult for me. Thank you so much for everything. Your videos're super informative and useful. Love you so much. And again THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Good lesson Kevin, of course. Just when I was missing Apollo coming into the lesson, I saw that beautiful Siamese slinking around in the background.

So much better than those videos that just show the shapes. Your carefully thought out descriptions, explanations and exercises are excellent! Thanks - I have advance more in the last few days than the previous year!

Still working on Bb by trying the correct way until my fingers cramp. Then just pluck some easy stuff for awhile coming back to Bb. Old fingers don’t cooperate as much so thanks for the little cheat just to be able to play a Bb song. Won’t give up on the right way. Too stubborn. Thanks for all your hard work and side notes. Having much fun playing around with old forgotten tunes.

Thanks enjoyed the lesson my Barre chords need all the help they can get. Just on your easy B7 I think you still have B D# F# A so still a real B7 just swapping strings for the B and A.
Sometimes I get confused with my chord theory so maybe wrong. Anyway it does sound ok so good whatever it is called.

Please help me with downloading the free pfd documents. I go to the link above and go to the various Barre Chord Day 2 and 3 and click on the Exercise tab at the bottom of the page. It always sends me to the sign-in page and I sign in and then have to wait for the confirmation process to take me to the Happy Place. When I click on it, I am sent back to the sign-in page again. I never seem to get past the sign-in. I am a Patron and I just am very frustrated that I cannot get the printed documents to use to follow with these lessons. Thanks!

I have the same ukulele you use in this video. If you still have it will you tell me if it is good enough to make bent notes and hammer notes. If I advance in playing I may want to learn some of those sounds, technical. You can probably do them. Will that ukulele make those sounds. I can’t do them on it now. I wondered if it was the fault of ukulele or my inexperience? Will I need to save $ for better ukulele?

This is a fine time to suggest this. I have your P D Fs on my IPad. Unfortunately sometimes I try to practice them without the video as it is not available due to no wi fi where I am. Unfortunately sometimes I run a complete blank and can’t remember what the cord looks like. When I printed the PDFs I would draw the cord so I knew what to play. Could you put the cord picture on the pdf page for people like me. For me it would be a great help. I really get confused with B, Bm, Bb, B7. Very confusing for me. I am sure it will become clear, but I still need hints. I am still having trouble making them ring clear, it will come. Thank you for the lesson.
