This is the kind of situation which women working in all fields go through on a daily basis. Anybody speaking on this issue wouldn't even be given a damn cuz it hurts that toxic ego of such people. I'm glad that a person like Palki has stood up about this issue. More power to you Mam ❤️
I am a guy but I can confidently say that all young Indian girls/women can look up to her. She is a refined human being❤️.
My school topper was such a robot kind of person. He nvr had good bonding with others. He nvr used to enjoy with us . But when school was over he understood everything and value of friendship and he was ready to be a avg in academic but he choosed life.

I still remember her talking interview of a person and entire comment section was talking about her legs😑. That was the time I felt ashamed of being born in such a society and I know it's not just India. It's mentality of a huge number of men and even small boys
Oh which video, that’s really sad 😢
That's disgusting... which video bro??
Shameful
And people here in comments section asking for the video 😅
The comments on live chat about her is something to take note of. A Westerner once commented about it. Not a single lustful man stopped their lowly behavior. Cheap upbringing.
Her crying about child being sick, doesn’t make her less competitive. That’s the entire point she wanted to make. Yes she had doubts if she will be PERCIEVED as less committed, which she wasn’t.
That’s what I understood.
She is one of the greatest Indian journalists ever, and one of the best in the world right now. Palki has a fan following across the world, across different nationalities

This video felt like you are trying to share and justify your own thought without even understanding what she really talking about.....eg at last I think she is probably trying to point to how men's lust and staring cultural is so acceptable and you turned into domincae of status/work. Cuz of XYZ position of mine she has no other choice and will come back to me.
I might be misunderstanig. It just how i felt and seeing this

aaah i get what you are saying. it's poorly cut. The original video is 18+ minutes long, but to make it shorter I cut out a whole more conversation around the same topic because people don't watch longer videos. My bad.
I felt the same. That the main point is how normalized this kinda behavior is in our society at various levels. Which was not emphasized enough.
@@GangstaPerspectives Lambe videos banao bro.I can listen to you for long time.
I disagree with u, not completely but at some point u are correct about the lust part, but @3:13 she said men will not cry for the baby etc, at this point i felt (maybe I'm wrong) she was more concerned about the comparison of the genders rather than the problem itself she was not hurt bcoz she cried she was hurt bcoz she thought and compared herself with a man who will act differently at the same situation

Hey shwetab bhaiya
I am facing a depressing problem
I am an iit jee aspirant and this is my last chance ( drop year)
The problem is I am being physically bullied by a boy taller than me in coaching ( 1 baar dhakka de k puchta hai gussa aya bhai Maine kaha ha be to usne apne ek dost ko kaha khatam kr to isko )
Mostly taking stand against bully works as it did work last time in my class 10th.
But somewhere inside I feel that this bully is a psychopath and won't get affected even on taking stand ( don't anyone give suggestion of physically confronting him, he's way stronger than me to usko physical fear bhi nhi dikha sakta aur body banane ka bhi time nhi h 3 mahina me JEE exam hoga ). I haven't taken stand against him yet so I'm not sure whether it would work or not, I just feel for no reason that it might not work with this boy. Padhai achhi nhi chal rhi to suicidal thoughts aisehi aate rehte h dropper bhi to hu
Usko ignore krle. Agar kuch vo zabardasti krta h aur haath uthatha h bematlab toh reflex action chhod dena. Dekhi jaegi. Dar mat. Aur apne kisi dost se bolde ki vo tere sath stand le. Ignore bas. What is his height BTW?
Itne bade hogaye 18-19 saal ke. Itni maturity to aajani chahie abi tak. Ya to aisa bi hoskta h ki teri kuch galti ho. Agar aisa h to say sorry. Kyuki koi zabardasti kisiko pareshan aise hi nahi karta. Aur agar vo krr raha tujhe to ignore him ya fir speak for yourself. Use you humor and social skills, talk to people and move on.
@Mothafli¶∆ wohi to bhai ye upar wala Banda abhi tak assholes se mila nhi hai
Seems to be immature
Speaking from experience, you need to fight him! Man up! Don't be sissy! Wear Hanumanji Locket, you'll get confidence!
Those were ridiculous suggestions . There r two possibilities . 1) u fight and face him . As u already mentioned , he is physically strong . Dont go physical . Try to destroy his confidence (mental state ).It may be by creating fear using coaching insitute or anything . 2) u shut urself and bear for another 3 months . ur brutal focus must be on ur goal no matter wt he does to u . Kepp ur brain ready for torture , u will not feel much . once u complete ur exams then do wt evr u want to do .
Dont mean to be rude but females do get more opportunity in news channel i mean look at aaj tak more than half anchor are females so with opportunity there are some problem that come by that so i think pereto principal works here and its toxic but thats how the things work i mean look at anchors u would not get any girl as an anchor who would not meet the beauty standards

why she said men cannot cry at work when their child is in pain.
I am always offended when someone set sterotypes about men, just to prove they are active women
But do they? I haven’t seen one do that, unka hi ego beech mein atta hai. Men have luxury to say ki bacche ki maa is taking care, toh woh toh tension free rehte hai.
But if a child is severely ill, mother gets the blame. My aunt was blamed when my cousin was hospitalised, she was tortured mentally so much that she left a really well paid job. But guess what, baap ko koi kuch nahi bolta.
@@Kathakathan11 calm down. I said "I feel sad when someone set sterotypes about me (men)" I never said that I appriciate sterotypes about women or any one.
I'm living a male life in socity so female insecurities is alien to me
and if you're living a female life then male insecurities are alien to you as well
better not to mention something that is alien to you, It huts.
@@Kathakathan11 sad to here that , people feel good at blaming other, they look for the easist perosn to blame. and that could be anyone. your aunts own family must probably be blaming the father cause its the easist way for them. got it?
one of my uncle is also blamed because he son talk rudely, in reality his son have toxic friends
6:09 indeed there few jobs or spots where one sacrifices the common good or family good , being hyper competitive personality or sacrificial one etc makes you avoid or negotiate your family over higher position in the table. Congenial lifestyle for them is being the top of top rather inert but sublime with family.
Not misogynistic but girl generally sacrifices her home for a new home and if she choses this path, the demons of competition would follow.
Mother shares more compassion than father generally speaking.
People like you are the issue. Men are capable/compassionate enough to take care of kids. If they aren't, they should learn to be.
Is being hyper-competitive same as being a narcissist to some degree? The analogy or the behavioral patterns discussed by Shwetabh at 4:10 looks like. @ShwetabhGangwar1
no, they're different. Being hyper-competitive is like you're too much achievement based and being narcissistic is like keeping yourself on a pedestal.
Hyper competitive people are confident in thier abilities to achieve success while narcissists are highly insecure so they want validation from other people and will go to any lengths to achieve attention from people
@@sirzechx_lucifer2503 too much achievement based is again keeping yourself first each and every time because you are always in that zone, somewhat similar to a narcissist who only thinks about him/herself, that's why I used the word 'some degree'
@@KDSingh13 but narcissism is more about self admiration rather than being competitive and work really good in their field of work.

when you're a face on a news channel, you have to present yourself in a certain way. you can do what you want on your vlog, but not on a media network which is carefully crafted and scripted. agreed, people should focus on the news, but that's not the game you're playing as an anchor or a news network. game's the game.
same thing with her being emotional - it's not a man-woman thing. it's just her being emotional in a workplace. if she was just an intern, i doubt people would've taken a break just for her. so her unique leverage helps as well.
#metoo has been turned to "believe all women" - more masala less substance. can't believe anyone's still discussing this. not everything is sexual harrassment. "lines should be tighter than your jeans" is funny, constructive AND lewd. but not harassment. journalists really need a definition check. [that politician was creepy af, if he did what she said he did; still not harassment, just rude and demeaning]
"pp should be longer as this comment"
This isn't harrasment, it's funny & not harrasment 🙏🏼🙂
Nobody wants other people to give bad comment on our body or clothes. Also, how would you feel when a gay male stares at you? That is still not harrasment, just rude...?
I think you should stop mansplaining harassment rn.
@@skull_bonet1 there's something called standards that every profession holds and if you can't live up to that your out, harsh reality the sooner you understand that the easier your life will get
@@joelrumidi3268 getting stared at with perverted eyes & unavailability of required leaves isn't a standard of a job, it's slavery
@@skull_bonet1 it's rude. not harrassment. same thing with a gay man staring. rude is still looked down on.
and we all know how metoo has been weaponised against men for no real reason. it's ironic how the industry that started the trendy hashtag, also protected polanski and cosby for years (even defended them). if it wasn't for New Yorker, weinstein would never have been exposed. no thanks, hollywood hashtags.
so yeah, #metoo is just politics at this point and indians are just jumping on the bandwagon again.
@@hacorn96 I can't reply to metoo because I've seen women suppressing their traumatic memories and then lashing out in other ways on something totally irrelevant & they deny to talk because it was long time ago, on the other hand many ugly character women do misuse it
Also you may feel normal of a stare because you are a man & nature has blessed you with enough strength to defend yourself & others.
Us as women we are weaker & everytime someone stares us there's a list of thoughts that make us uncomfortably paranoid like is he stalking me, will he kill me, will he sell me, will he get me kidnapped & all crime patrol shows give their flashbacks & we aren't always aware of what actually causes the discomforting feeling, maybe it's in our biology being the less physically strong one but understanding this simple thing shouldn't require you to read this essay

bhaiya nayi kitaaab aa gyi ab uska icon laga do bottom right corner me
This happens to men as well, we also care for our children, I have been told when I take leaves for my family, this extremity from women is poisonous
What happened to you big brother?
Well apparently, I work in an organisation where it's becoming very normal to work on Sundays and other holidays, it's becoming normal to stay late and work till 9 O'clock, and when I say that people should not be coming on holidays and don't stay late because then we have no time left for family and ourselves, then they think I don't take the work seriously because everybody else is doing it, and they also have families, which is absolutely stupid argument.
This doesn't seem right to me, they are gonna burn themselves up. Neglecting family is abusive , not sensible.
@@harshs4297 but that’s the point palki is making, that her work culture doesn’t factor in this emotive side, it’s too hyper competitive that people have forgotten normal human interactions. Humans have become vultures. It’s rare for a man to compromise as he knows there will be some woman taking care of child. It’s good that this generation has sensitive fathers, but just a generation back, fathers had no idea in which grade the child is studying.
I hate people who wants to be politically correct and can't say what's in their mind
No ranveer alhabadia was harmed in this video

Men will be judged as well if they come in shorts or dhoti or kurta paijama etc.
Men are judged as well. Hell, there are laws to put them in jail if they start acting emotionally, as in masculine emotions.
The work environment is competitive because the market is competitive. If you aren't competitive, you will be criticized or replaced. The world and economics don't revolve around one person's emotions. Unfair but market.
Carobar is dangerous because drinking and driving is criminal, 50% rapes happen under a drunk state, murders too.
Finally someone noticed the Hypocrisy and came up with rational arguments instead of flowing along in emotions because of her woman card.
Jail for acting emotionally, Can you elaborate that 😂😂😂😂
Men have made the workplace hyper competitive as they can afford to work long hours while dumping the responsibility of housework and child care on women. Women are left with no chance: it would be hard for a competitive woman to find a husband that would do the same for her.
@@MansiGupta1410 I mean you are right about the competitive environment and difficulty women face during juggling between work and family. However talking about difficulty finding a groom is actually because of the preference they create themselves. Let's say a man in marketing is earning 1 lac a month marries a girl who is unemployed or does a job which is less hectic ( pays 30k ) now because the guy is hustling outside the house a lot more, she can take up more household responsibilities(kids included) in the household and he can put in long hours to move up the corporate ladder. In a similar situation the girl earning 1 lac won't marry an unemployed guy or someone who does less hectic job instead she might marry someone earning more (eg 2 lac). Now this guy can't take more household responsibilities as his own schedule might be really stressful. So the more burden comes on her in this case also to take more responsibilities on her.
Ps. I am not saying all men or all women do this but it's definitely a general trend which certainly get reflected in promotion trends. Moreover wherever I mentioned about work distribution it was only based on the stress a job place on people and not assuming it's women's job to serve the man in some way.
It's also true that some men's ego might also get hurt by marrying a girl earning more and I am not denying that but at the same time most (not all) girls would be ashamed to be married to a guy earning less. In no way I am trying to throw women's issues out in the lake but was trying to give a more accurate explanation about why things happen like that.
Have a nice day mam and forgive me if I crossed lines and sounded rude in any way because I am just a class 12th student and still trying to put up perspectives in an articulate way.
Peace ✌
I like her work, personality and news coverage but I don't agree with her on all things especially her views on gender things
