Gwen visits the garden of a friend where takes an inspiring walk and she picks rose hips. The gardens are full of autumn ambience. In her own garden Gwen picks the last rose of the season which is a David Austin "Litchfield Angel" rose and she makes an arrangement for a tea party.

IN THE KITCHEN
Pecan Scones with Brown Butter Icing
2 cups flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
5 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup [2 sticks] butter
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
Icing
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon maple flavoring
1/4 to 1/2 cup milk
*Preheat oven to 350F
*In a large bowl mix together flours, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
*Cut butter into small cubes. Add butter to flour mix and cut in with a pastry blender or your hands until mixture resembles crumbs.
*Add nuts.
*In a small bowl mix the egg and milk together very well.
*Add milk mixture to flour mixture and stir until it forms a rough dough.
* Dump mixture onto a lightly floured board or towel and fold dough a few turns until it hold together nicely.
*Form dough into a 8 inch square. Cut into 4 squares. Cut each square into 2 rectangles. Cut each rectangle into 2 pieces. You should now have 16 scones.
* Place onto baking sheet and bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
* For icing melt butter in small pan until nicely browned and then remove from heat. Add brown sugar, powdered sugar and maple flavoring.
*Add milk until you have a glaze that can be drizzled over the warm scones.

It is curly ( numerous branches beautifully fall down, but many branches ( are still young) stick up) . 2. I can't figure it out - how did you attach the bouquets to the backs of the chairs?!?!?!? 🙄 Maybe you sewed to the fabrica rope which the bouquet is assembled?
