Got mine like 3 days ago… I recommend uninstalling stock (all are old-to-date) emu’s and instal then again to get newer versions - games run way smoother !
Yes, great advice. Good idea to replace the sd card as well and curate your own library of games. I’m going to try flashing Gamma’s stick fix on both my RG556 and RG Cube this weekend too
@@JRDE-x8tI did! Not on the 556 but on the Cube, but it’s essentially the same thing. Definitely made a noticeable difference. Still not perfect but considerably better. Games like Mario 64 have much better movement. The only downside is unlocking the bootloader resets the device to factory settings
You can get it with a preloaded SD card but I’d recommend just getting your own and curating your own list of games. The SD cards these come with are very cheap and prone to failure
The roms list on the sd cards will probably vary by seller. There was a decent amount of stuff preinstalled on mine but the selection was pretty random. I’d recommend just adding your own
@@NeiltendoPower yes correct, some might need minor tuning but it is a awesome welcomed addition for the price and chipset of it.. it's so nice to have some PS2 in the palm of your hand
Yeah you can purchase it with a preloaded sd card from most places but it will be a little less expensive if you get it without. I always replace the cheap sd cards they come with anyway for more reliable ones from SanDisk or Samsung
@@ndMaikel widescreen hacks are enabled within the the emulator itself. So for widescreen hacks for GameCube stuff, you'd need to enable them in the Dolphin emulator
It really is. Everything else about the device is surprisingly nice. But yeah the sticks on the RG556 feel like they have even less range than the ones on the RG405V. Could be wrong but either way they’re certainly the most disappointing thing about the RG556 aside from the shell plastic feeling kind of cheap

I f’ing love it. Taking break now looking at this post.
Need to get those native 16:9 games on it (Tony Hawks games were mainly native widescreen) and then widescreen hack the rest 👌🏻
PSP at 4 or 5x looks really nice! I didn’t know THPS3 has widescreen actually. I’ll have to give that a go
Lol i never tried 5x on ppsspp lol im finna see how it look 😂
Just ordered mine 🤗
I just bought one and it feels great for gaming
Does it come with games already installed or do i have to like download it or something?
You can get it with a preloaded SD card but I’d recommend just getting your own and curating your own list of games. The SD cards these come with are very cheap and prone to failure
If you like the games that come on the SD, make sure to back it up to your PC so you can replace the sd card.
Can I buy it somewhere where it's already preloaded with better roms

Rg406v hyped
Same!
May I know the list of the games you played there?
How many emulators are there btw
Hi do you guys happen to have download link for the games?
Can you buy sd cards with games preloaded to play on this?
You can, although the cards are super low quality and loaded with some kinda random and poorly titles roms
Will it play PS2 games as well???
Yes and very well at that.. I have one , I have a PS2 game card with like 700 PS2 games and they mostly all ran surprisingly smmoth
Yes, not every game, but a good majority play pretty well. Might need to tinker around with settings a little for the best experience
@@NeiltendoPower yes correct, some might need minor tuning but it is a awesome welcomed addition for the price and chipset of it.. it's so nice to have some PS2 in the palm of your hand
Can it play DS or 3DS games?
It can! You can set a screen swap hot key if you want a single full screen and the touch controls work too
@@NeiltendoPower How well does it run 3DS games? What's the performance like?

Yep, you can run widescreen hacks on a lot of GameCube/PS2 stuff and PSP fills the full screen as well
@@NeiltendoPower are widescreen hacks software related or game related?

Does it run n64 well?
Definitely. It can play most of the GameCube library at around 2x resolution so it has no problem at all with N64 stuff
Super👏👏👏👏
Which sd card size?
I think mine came with a cheap 128GB but I ended up putting in a 512GB SanDisk
Where u buy
I got mine from GoGameGeek Official, but it’s also available directly from Anbernic’s website or Amazon. I have a link in the description
