    I flew on my first 350 with Delta a few weeks ago from Tokyo to Detroit, then back to Tokyo 10 days later. For my trips back to the states, I always used to fly United on 787s, but I was really impressed with Delta and the 350. Probably my fav aircraft to take now. The food was hit or miss. Some of the meals were great, but the breakfast stuff was pretty disgusting lol. I was pleased with how often they were offering water and drinks throughout my flights though.

    Great to see regular A350 flights to Honolulu!

    If you ask for the can they'll give it to you. I know someone that works for AA and they're supposed to serve the cup as well (someone correct me if im wrong) but its quicker to just give the can away and faster to run out so they rather just give away the can. United I have no idea what their official service standard is.

      They used to always give the can with the drink without even asking. Now airlines are so cheap.

    I still want to fly the A350... but they don't seem to operate on the HNL route anymore... also, you can always ask for the whole can!

    18:47, $247 for a 1 way flight to Atlanta is cheap and it's worth the price.

    Wow such amazing views after take off, I also wasn't expecting Delta to serve anything that looked as appealing as what you received for dinner. I have flown the A350 with Qatar Airways, its a beautiful aircraft however the seat width was unbearable.
    Thanks for sharing such a great report.

    Delta does dinner service from Honolulu to ATL or any of the other long haul domestic destinations from HNL?

    Great videos and the views on the takeoff and landing were stellar. Is there wifi offered on this flight?
    As for cup vs can, I've asked for the can and they've given it to me and on shorter flights I've asked for a cup rather than the can and got it that way too.

    They served complimentary meals in economy? I really thought they would just served you with drinks and some bischoff cookies. What American and United served in economy for flights from mainland US to Hawaii?

      A flight between Honolulu and Atlanta is a heck of a lot longer than between the West Coast and Honolulu. Thus the need for a meal or two. American Airlines between Honolulu and Dallas used to offer offer two meals in first/business class.

    These ex-LATAM/Qatar A350s are kind of a huge downgrade compared the other A350s and A330s in their fleet :/

    How was economy for this flight? Do you wish you would have upgraded, or was it sufficient?

      I agree. At 6ft 6 i fit comfortably on Delta when we fly to Europe. I usuay sit the 1st row behind the exit row. No need to pay for the exit row that is how good the seat pitch is.

    Weird why are there no air vents?

    • @WilliamMurphy-uv9pm
      @WilliamMurphy-uv9pm Месяц назад

      They enjoy watching you suffocate and turn all sorts of weird colors once airborne. Personal air vents are not needed. Nice to have, in my opinion, but not essential.

    How come from California is 6h, now from Georgia is 7h+ .so confusing. I think it should be 10h

    • @tristanhnl
      @tristanhnl Год назад +1

      That's due to winds, specifically what is known as jet streams. Flights going west to east generally are shorter than the exact same flight going east to west. So for example, Honolulu to Los Angeles is normally 4 hours 45 minutes to 5 hours. Los Angeles to Honolulu will take 5 hours 30 minutes to 6 hours. Honolulu to Atlanta, as shown in this video, took 7 hours and 40 minutes. When I flew Atlanta to Honolulu last month, it took an hour longer than this vlogger's journey, at 8 hours and 50 minutes.

    Worst breakfast I have ever seen. Recently had four flights on Qatar A350s - they serve two meals even on a six hour flight. And the food was a country mile ahead of anything in US airline economy.
