C210 tips are used to solder small smd chips and components. They do not have thermal mass to handle connectors and bigger solder joints. They are made to solder sop, sto23, and those small package types.
Nice review, but a teardown is missing. I got one of these for 43€ (incl. fast shipping to DE). Also from the inside, the bulid-quality is very high. MCU is a HC32L130J8TA (STM32 clone?). The PSU looks like somethings that can do more than 40W. I guess C245 is no issues with these C210-unit.
Why disassemble something that works. This station operates on pulse duty cycle. At 115\210 there are pulses of 2-5 milliseconds of 24 volts. On the 245 knob the pulses are simply wider
@@DoshaYama Because it's a standard for a good review. Or do you like average? You can power a 120W rated cartridge with 40W, by chosing the right duty-cycle. The question was: can it deliver 120W (today I know: yes, thanks -surprise- teardown )

Yes he was struggling with a medium joint even though he turned the heat up. I think that's why they call it "precision", its just for small detailed work. Very confusing review. Thanks for that comment. I have the cheaper YIHUA 939D+ III EVO and it heats a 30mm by 3mm round copper bar up in a few seconds, really powerful unit.
@@ForrestLambert.2022 Hello the YIHUA 939D+ III EVO I have got will also perform well with small surface mount stuff. It is the best station I have owned and have used many in years gone by, love it. Probably cheaper than the 982D because the technology is older generation using a ceramic heating element but still works really well, heats up in 12 seconds. The 982D has the newer tech and you can change the tips (which have the elements inside them) while in use. For the 939D one has to let the iron cool down to change the tip, not a big deal for me. The 982 has a bigger watt handle which is bought separately, the c245 as are the tips to go with it there is a review of it by WHCVIP. Hope this helps.
Excellent station' only isssue as with a lot of stations handle plug is to the rear , awkward to keep moving station away from wall to change handles. i moved the output socket to the front gained 100mm of handle lead also purchased 90deg power socket input, station is now 30mm from back of bench & stays there ........

hi, where buy iron tips Yihua ?
I've found only Sunshine or Relife
hello, have this soldering station problem with grounded boards?
C210 tips are used to solder small smd chips and components. They do not have thermal mass to handle connectors and bigger solder joints. They are made to solder sop, sto23, and those small package types.
Is it any better than regular soldering kit for smd component removal/soldering ?
Hello, I ordered 40W with 210 handle, so when I buy 245 handle the station will be able to power it with 120W right?
Thats would be interesting also for me
See my comment on the follow-up video with C245 handle (yes it seem to deliver more power for C245).
I get an "OCP" error when I attach one of my tips (1 in and 3 spares combo) the others are all ok. Any ideas?
