    This is amazing. I was wow'd from the first frames where the screen was shaking and the characters started falling down. Would love to see the code for this.

    Very cool demo. This would do well as creative direction and inspiration for a C64 exclusive TMNT game’s intro. How awesome would it be to incorporate such vignettes as powerful, cinemática to great games?

      Hmmm…a disembodied, evil human brain with its own set of sensory organs and appendages that also has a way around complex machinery. I can see how this would be an easy “riff-off” bad guy character for any franchise.

      It's really common for C64 games and demos to use the character mode because it's faster than the bitmap (pixel) modes. Usually the characters just have been completely redrawn. I used the original charset here for some PETSCII aesthetics.

    The suspension of disbelief get wrecked quite fast on this one, 8chr+ file name on a c64 ?
