He is probably sponsored and it doesn't take a billionaire to get these amounts of phones. Millionaire is more like it but definitely not only from ads.
I've been using one of these for 2-1/2 years. I usually drop it once per day but some days more. Closed it in the edge of the hood of my car, the tail lift of my wagon, etc, screen still works. Not sure why... I take that back, other companies rather you break your phone 3 days after you purchase it.
I don't like apple AT ALL. However, I do appreciate the fact that if you're willing to spend a ridiculous amount of money they have one of the better ecosystems for devices. At least this guy did the video and posted it, showing that the Turbo is definitely more durable than the latest flagship from apple
+iTwe4kz you dont want that display, its just a piece of plastic, it even has a plastic screen protector on top to prevent scratches on the main plastic
I didn't expect the phone itself to die before the display shatters, great job motorola! and great job +everythingapplepro to show us the true power of a phone display! :)
+Jack Johnson it scratches easy, which is why we stopped using it. buy any cheap phone with a plastic screen and you can't crack it either. I've had tonnes of phones as I always break them at work and out of the 50+ cheap Androids I've had its only the LCD that cracks. not even hammers or 100 foot drops from scaffold cracks plastic
+shane buchanan (we stop using it) who is we, and on what device, because Samsung and LG are the only ones that have started using this oled technology, which is not cheap and the reason their phones with these screens are more expensive!
I myself prefer Apple, but he should at least be fair when doing things like this. He failed to mention that after a couple drops the iPhone was obviously bent. A scratch on an iPhone was a light scuff while a scratch on the droid was a deep gouge. Just be fair.
Fact is though that it didn't break. It worked fine after landing. See the slow motion video, it's still turned on after initial impact and first bounce. But then he flips it over and it's magically broken. The DT2 has taken a beating from 900ft and worked fine, see ruclips.net/video/fTJOL5ikuZA/видео.html. Although like you say, it's not unbreakable and it did receive damage from that 900ft drop.
My turbo 2 has a spot on the glass. 3 years ago i dropped my aluminum flashlight on it from 10 ft up. Other than a little dark spot the size of my toe pinky nail no issues. The turbo2 has been a great phone and very durable. I would have had to purchase 3-4 phones by now.
There's a fully functional 6s on that beach somewhere.. well there at least was. Someone got lucky that day, all they had to do was replace the display+touchscreen assembly, that is if he didn't retrieve it after the video.
I like how he dropped it from 50 feet, the screen didn't crack, because it's plastic, but he complained that there were some scuffs around the frame. No shit sherlock let me drop you from 50 ft and see if you don't shatter.
Late, but when I retired my phone - the corner of it was severely warped but it still worked very well. It even survived flying off the car at 35mph, hitting the road....and I used it for another year after that.
I personally have a Droid Turbo 2 and this is just impressive and it does saying the quick start guide they recommend putting a clear case on in the phone the clear part is so you can see your custom phone
I got the turbo 2 back when it was new a couple years ago and really liked it at first but about a year after I got it the battery life was absolutely terrible (drained battery after about 4ish hours) and the cherry on top was when the charging port stopped working completely.
Why are you hating so much on the droid I've owned both the droid and iPhone since the beginning and the droid turbo has easily been better then any iPhone I've ever had, by far
This is the most underrated phone ever made. Ive had mine two years and theres not a scratch on it. Ive been through many, many flagship Sony and Samsung phones that were destroyed from 3' drops. Ive literally spent ten thousand dollars in the last eight years until I decided on a used Droid Turbo2 I found on Kijiji
I've had a turbo 2 for 2 years I keep it in an otter box as a precaution, I drop it on the floor or on concrete daily and the screen has of recently 1 spec on it from some welding spatter, out of the case I've only ever had the edges scuffed up from dropping it, but I did break the glass over the camera lens from having it in my back pocket, sitting on steel grating and holding pipe in place for a welder,
The back isn't plastic, i believe thats one of the ballistic nylon variants. Its like a sewn material, anything but plastic. Also the entire display is made from plastic and that layer you thought you felt was part of the phones assembly and its easily replaceable. But its not the best kind of screen since plastic screens are very easy to scratch.
+Sebastian Chavez the part that scratches is user replaceable... similar to what a plastic screen protector/ tempered glass would do. And that verizon logo. its on that user replaceable plastic... so if you replace with one from th moto x force..you'll have no logo. Verizon and Moto both sell it
As a past owner of a Droid Turbo 2 I can firmly say any drops can end in an minimal damage adsorbed shock(+Shock absorbing case for even more protection if your feeling sporty). If anything you're going to have a problem with the battery or mother board with your DT2. I myself have never owned an Apple product so I can't give any imput there.
The reason why the screen does not crack is because its basically plastic. Its very soft and if you try to crack it, it just bends. You cannot crack it but you can very easily scratch it.
I noticed that after the initial 50ft impact, the screen was still on when it bounced, if it is really broken, then possibly the initial fall cracked the AMOLED panel, then the second hit took it out completely. Try holding the power button for 15 seconds to restart it.
I had the droid turbo and never had a case for it, worked as a mechanic and contruction, dropped that thing off of ladders onto concrete, just indestructible. They dont make em like they used to
I'm probably the last person to buy an iPhone, but come on. The camera is damn good, although beaten by the N6P. Even with a small battery, iOS' RAM and battery management is unbeatable, at least until Android N comes out. It's also one of the more aesthetically pleasing phones out there, especially with the crisp display. I still prefer android over iOS, but don't pretend they aren't good phones.
They aren't. The operating system sucks and they have little to no customization when compared to android. The camera is a far cry away from the Samsung Galaxy S6. The battery life is abysmal compared to nearly all android phones. They are just now catching up with features android has had for ages such as widgets, status bar, and predictive text. The OS is far slower, and the screen resolution is noticeably worse than the S6. It heats up when used excessively which should never happen. It takes 10 times as long to charge. Android beats iPhone on literally every measure.
Best phone ever I have owned a total of three of these phone since 2016. Bought my last one I'm using currently on eBay. When are we going to get a turbo 3.
They don't generally make shatter-proof displays because they are very soft and scratch easily due to the plastic on top of the screen. Due to the properties of materials, materials that are extremely hard and resist scratches are also usually brittle and shatter easily and vice versa.
I've literally thrown that phone at my wall multiple times as hard as I can and it still hasn't broken. The actual screen peeled off.before it cracked. This phone is strong ASF.
You can replace the top layer (the shatter shield tech) if you scratch it guys. 20.00 from amazon. I have this phone and love it. I have replaced my screen because it is plastic it does scratch that is why i got the otter box and Fre lifeproof case for mine.
The Droid Maxx and Turbo 2 both have been dropped from 1000 feet, and with no case, were perfectly fine (landed on dirt and rock mix which is equal to concrete from 1000 feet)
it's clear guys Android Is So much better than Apple and Why were you criticizing Android man you said cmon break phone I came here to see you break (not criticizing you btw)
BassAngler05 Android is the sistem, there’s a lot of shity Android phones too. When are you going to understand than there are a LOT of android phones from different quality.
all I heard was Apple is the best but I guess Motorola is okay... dude just stop ragging on the phone and admit it's better than a stupid shitty iPhone
How does that give the iPhone, which broke earlier, any credit? At least try to make some sense before accusing others. Any phone can survive a few seconds post-impact before dying.
im gonna try to save up and get me a 6 or a 7 because im using the LG k7 and it has only 1 gigabyte of data and i think its time to upgrade. And what phone do you guys have? Should i upgrade or not?
the Motorola Droid turbo 2 has a plastic screen, it is resilient against drops but can scratch easily, the glass on the iPhone 6 is resilient against scratches but breaks easily.
I'm honestly shocked we haven't run into each other. I live in the same area and all your outdoor vids are in locations I've recently been at lol
Haha it's only a matter of time now!

where was this filmed?
Am I the only one to notice the 6S was bent?
Apple changed the metal and display with the 6s. it is still surprisingly strong thought.
No
also no you are not
yes it was bent
I noticed that too .. I wondered if someone else noticed 😅
To bad that red bull didn't give it wings.
I saw that redbull too and had it in my head.

Looking back at the footage, you can see that the phone was still working at the initial impact from the 50ft drop. That is freaking crazy!
Apple will never make a phone that has an unbreakable screen! That's how they make their money.....
That's My Two Cents The "Unbreakable screen" is just plastic, therefore it doesn't shatter.
The reason they wouldn't make it is because this screen which is shatter proof is made of plastic which scratches very easily but doesn't crack
That's My Two Cents 😂
@@Dj-gw6er , but display is easily broken. As you see
It's just plastic it will scratch with just about anything
in 2 years apple will copy it and then say it's theirs and then they will finally sue motorola for "copying" them.
Kryptonite178 Did they ever sue someone for "copying"?
Fink not but their fan yes, with the mini jack (moto z)
They will not copy Motorola because the droid is incredibly scratch prone.
Nobody uses this because it's plastic, and because of that it scratches a lot.
Kryptonite178 better full screen of scratches than break
Where do you get these phones? Are you a billionaire or does the profits from ads actually make up for the cost of the devices?
I know right, throws iPhone 6s like its nothing

I'm still using it. I have a tremor sometimes, and i broke all my previous phones. This is the first one that survived more then 2 years.
I love the Motorola Turbo 2... this may be my first phone
iphones are overpriced shit .
Not the SE. iPhones are premium products, but the currently cheapest one is reasonably priced. Would recommend it.
Your videos are all so fake. The phone worked when it landed. Unbiased as all hell you iSheep
Tom it's in his name too 😂😂😂
Tom "why doesn't everyone use this" he said while talking about the moto yeah that sounds super apple fan boy like 🙄
Tom He isn't biased😂 he just gives credit where credit is due.
How does that give the iPhone, which broke earlier, any credit? At least try to make some sense before accusing others. Any phone can survive a few seconds post-impact before dying.
FYI the back of the Turbo 2 you were using was not plastic but ballistic nylon
im gonna try to save up and get me a 6 or a 7 because im using the LG k7 and it has only 1 gigabyte of data and i think its time to upgrade. And what phone do you guys have? Should i upgrade or not?
Lol, I can't help laughing when he sounds so surprised and says "It won't boot!" You just dropped it 50 feet what do you expect XD
the Motorola Droid turbo 2 has a plastic screen, it is resilient against drops but can scratch easily, the glass on the iPhone 6 is resilient against scratches but breaks easily.
I have the white leather droid turbo 2 and it's amazing
thanks for the video👍
It is a plastic, 5 layer display that feels like glass, with a thin, actual glass pane underneath it.
how do you guys make these videos I mean do the companies sponsor you the phones
I live in Washington and I have been to the park were u filmed this video
i saw this droid turbo 2, survived 900ft from drone amazing
