Great insights - I certainly like polestar over Tesla on pretty much everything… looks, interior layout and what I imagine is a more driver-centric nature on the road
Nice walk-through. I just ordered the Polestar 2 YR24 Pilot, Plus and Performance pack. I live in Denmark, and we have charging stations all over. The same with the larger highways in Europe. So I'm just counting the days.......
Great video, thanks. In so many ways this car is better than the Tesla Model 3 long range. It's just a shame that you need to add pricey 'packs' to get features, like adaptive cruise, which should be standard at the starting price point.
I have test driven one (performance model) and i loved it. Was looking at a Dual Motor Long Range 2024 model but after adding the packs (pilot and plus) the package does not make sense compared to the competition. The configured Polestar would then add up to 93k which is over the lux car tax threshold where as a similar Tesla Highland with 19" wheels cost $79k. That is a massive difference. BTW the veh you were driving is over $112K drive away with the $6k nappa leather option. For that price the Kia EV9 is looking very attractive.
Nice things tend to cost more :) With that price difference I would go for P2 .... and I actually did 1 year ago. For me it was kind of thinking that if I put 70k€ or 80k€ to a car, it should be something I enjoy. And comparing 70k€ car which would be OK compared to 80k€ which I would love ... it was easy choice for me.
Made in China is the same xenophobic nonsense when Japan started exporting cars. The build quality of my PS2 is just as great as my built in Japan Toyota Camry Hybrid.
I really can't see that happening in my lifetime... I'm think EV's as they are now will end up like the Beta VCR format workable but in the longer run not practical.
The yellow belts are pretty ghastly... And I reckon the depreciation on these will be absolutely insane. And it's a shame it's faux Swedish and actually Chinese.
The belts are 'Swedish Gold', not yellow...and they are owned by Geely, like Volvo, so not faux anything. China makes a lot of your stuff, are you going to throw it all away?

Yep, the Ohlins suspension is awesome. A real driver's car feel including on regular roads 👍

C'mon, the touchscreen and user interface is one of the best things about this car. Takes all of a couple of days to get used to, max.
Yep I agree. Very easy to use and all touch points are big so that it is easy to use also while driving.
I think people miss the home button - the white line at the bottom of the screen, - and instead look at the bit where you set up the home screen...
I am getting 0-60secs in 3.6 seconds in my P2 Performance.
Sounds and goes like a Scalextric Slot Car ⚡️
Yep, and what a bundle of fun it is, if you like going fast.

How fast was quarter mile?
I'm not against EVs. One day I'll get one. I'll just wait for a while until the infrastructure is there like for the internal combustion cars.
I really can't see that happening in my lifetime... I'm think EV's as they are now will end up like the Beta VCR format workable but in the longer run not practical.
I’m happy with my little VW Polo. The fuel economy is close to a hybrid Toyota and hasn’t let me down. Might as well keep it

Haha fair point about resale. Not sure I’d categorise it as Chinese though; it’s designed and developed in Sweden, but put together in China.
Heaps of cars are manufactured in China...
@@drivingenthusiastaustralia Its owned by a Chinese company and the development centers are Sweden and China.

Do you have an issue with your iPhone or Tesla being made in China?
